Infinite Improbablity Drive of the Race - Mainland Taiwan
I'd say Albon personally. Pit lane to points in a midfield car is usually pretty impressive.

I'll agree with Simtek; Alexander Albon's drive was an impressive achievement given the car he's in.

I don't think you can look past Alexander Albon to be fair.

I don't think there are deserving nominations to be honest but Albon was okay I guess.
Was there anything else noteworthy at all? I can't think of anything.

Albon. Very impressive race which belied the fact that it was only his 3rd race. If this carries on much longer, Kvyat will lose his drive by mid-season.

Probably Albon for me as well. That Toro Rosso is a handy car and is allowing him to do well. From Pit lane start to points is impressive!

Do we even need a poll for this one? Think the only candidate for this one is Albon

And here's another nomination for Alexander Albon.
Not that easy to even think of honorable mentions this time... Maybe Pérez? Or Williams for not being last in qualifying and for most of the race.

I'll go Perez - Albon was very good, but ignoring the damaged, the DNFs and the first lap casualties all he had to beat was 2 Haas, Giovinazzi and Stroll. He undercut Stroll , and the Haas were struggling. Giovinazzi went on a different strategy that was the wrong choice .
Instead - Perez - whose lap 1 was phenomenal, and who then hung on out of reach of everyone. Maybe he did a better job

I'm going to say Alexander Albon. He certainly looks like the stronger Toro Rosso driver now after the first few races. Kvyat needs to improve or he may end up kicked out of the Red Bull family yet again.
Honorable mention to Kimi Raikkonen for his steady climb up the order in the later half of the race and providing the most action for a rather calm race.

Albon from the pit lane and in a situation that you'd expect to reduce confidence is the only thing that stood out to me... maybe Pérez after the way Racing Point's season has looked, but that's really just where they should be....

My vote goes for Albon as well, kept a cool head, and thanked his mechanics afterwards. Can't wait to see what he does when he replaces Gasley soon.
Honorable mention to Kimi again though, throwing that Alfa around again, enough so that he even got a kind word out of the Sky team.

Alex Albon, obviously.
Although I do feel like I need to throw the Mercedes double-stack pit stop in the mix as an honourable mention, because that performance was flawless and we've seen in the past how wrong it can go.

Ok, due to the overwhelming (over 90% of the vote) nominations for the guy, I'm going to intervene and say that Alexander Albon has won Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race in China! In what was quite a dull race, he was easily the biggest mover in the pack, and in a car outside the top six, it was a good race for him to get into the points, and he is outshining many of his rivals in the mid-field. Good job boyo
