F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R14 Singapore
No sign of this thread yet, so I'll open it.
Vettel - 9 - Peerless out there.
Webber - 4 - It was nice being a championship contender, wasn't it Mark?
Hamilton - 7 - Was going reasonably well before the gearbox went kaput.
Button - 8 - Consistant, but never a real threat for the victory
Alonso - 8 - Snuck up onto the podium yet again. That third title is heading his way.
Massa - 10 - Fantastic recovery drive, and one of the best saves I've ever seen. Seriously, how that wasn't a massive crash just defies logic.
Rosberg - 7 - Very quiet, but 5th place is not to be sniffed at, considering how shite Mercedes are now.
Schumacher - 0 - Go home Schumi.
Raikkonen - 8 - Bounced back from poor qualifying.
Grosjean - 7 - Decent enough
Di Resta - 10 - Unrejectification at long last, and nearly a podium to boot.
Hulkenberg - 5 - Wrong strategy, and bashed not once, but twice by Sauber drivers.
Kobayashi - 3 - His bogey track strikes again. Really poor.
Perez - 5 - Wrong strategy, and over-aggressive.
Ricciardo - 8 - More points and kept it out of trouble.
Vergne - 7 - Doing well until that clown in the Mercedes who reportedly is a 7-time WDC used him as a brake.
Maldonado - 9 - Poor guy, was finally driving well but the car let him down.
Senna - 3 - And that's not the way to go about keeping your seat...
Kovalainen - 4 - Poor
Petrov - 3 - Not good.
De La Rosa - 4 - The curse of Enoch affects him as well, it seems...
Karthikeyan - 2 - And why does he deserve to be in F1?
Glock - 9 - Oh, he's motivated again. And it sure does show here.
Pic - 7 - Kicked arse.
Vettel - 9 - Peerless out there.

Re: F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R14 Singapore
Sebastian Vettel
Q: 8 | R: 10 | Average: 9 | F1R: 10
That early stop was a bit puzzling, but aside from that he completely outclassed Button and was more than a match for Hamilton on a day where Macca had the best car.
Mark Webber
Q: 6 | R: 4 | Average: 5 | F1R: 5
With the way things are going right now, Webber does not deserve to be in the championship fight.
Jenson Button
Q: 8 | R: 7 | Average: 7.5->8 | F1R: 7
Dropped back quite severely at the end and simply had no response to Vettel.
Lewis Hamilton
Q: 10 | R: 9 | Average: 9.5->10 | F1R: 9
Humongously unfortunate with the gearbox failure. Was being caught by Vettel in the second stint though, so I can't give him full marks.
Fernando Alonso
Q: 8 | R: 7 | Average: 7.5->8 | F1R: 7
Outmatched by Massa on race day, was pathetically lucky with the safety cars and especially with the stops.
Felipe Massa
Q: 4 | R: 11 | Average: 7.5->8 | F1R: 10
One of only three drives in the last 3 years (alongside Petrov @ Abu Dhabi 2010 and Vettel @ Bahrain 2012) that deserved more than just a 10. Though he was appalling in qualifying, the puncture wasn't his fault and his pace was perfect: better than Alonso's, who had clean air for much of the race, and matching Hamilton's and Vettel's, the former of which also had clean air. And that's on softs. The supersofts? He made them last 20 laps. Vettel's fell off after 10 laps. The others made them last 15 laps at best. He extracted at least 33% more out of them, and that's despite how badly he was held up by the murderous Senna. That save was also mindboggling. Vettel's Bahrain drive has officially been surpassed. This, along with Perez, Hulkenberg and Kovalainen's constant blunders, is the ultimate proof that Ferrari need to re-sign him. Best Driver
Michael Schumacher
Q: 7 | R: 4 | Average: 5.5->6 | F1R: 5
The crash was caused by a brake problem so I won't deduct any points from his race rating for it, but he was destroyed by Rosberg this weekend.
Nico Rosberg
Q: 7 | R: 8 | Average: 7.5->8 | F1R: 7
Finally outmatched Schumacher on a race weekend.
Kimi Raikkonen
Q: 6 | R: 9 | Average: 7.5->8 | F1R: 8
His race wasn't Massa-tier but it definitely kept his championship hopes alive.
Romain Grosjean
Q: 8 | R: 7 | Average: 7.5->8 | F1R: 7
Beaten by his teammate. Was nice enough to let him through though.
Paul di Resta
Q: 8 | R: 9 | Average: 8.5->9 | F1R: 9
Great weekend all around. It's a shame that he didn't catch Alonso at the end.
Nico Hulkenberg
Q: 6 | R: 4 | Average: 5 | F1R: 4
Reckless. Alonso and di Montezemolo were right - Ferrari need someone with experience, someone who can dedicate himself to the team and not just to himself. Nico and Checo acted like spoiled brats today.
Kamui Kobayashi
Q: 4 | R: 6 | Average: 5 | F1R: 5
Little pace to begin with, but the incident wasn't his fault.
Sergio Perez
Q: 7 | R: 3 | Average: 5 | F1R: 4
Appallingly aggressive. See Hulkenberg's note.
Daniel Ricciardo
Q: 7 | R: 8 | Average: 7.5->8 | F1R: 8
Did a great job holding off his compatriot at the end. Good race overall. Kept out of trouble.
Jean-Eric Vergne
Q: 7 | R: 7 | Average: 7 | F1R: 7
Really unfortunate with that incident.
Pastor Maldonado
Q: 10 | R: 9 | Average: 9.5->10 | F1R: 9
So, so very unfortunate on race day. Starting from the dirty side cost him two positions at the start, then he rejoined in traffic while Alonso had clear air, then he pitted for supersofts just before the safety car came out, which forced him to pit yet again. And as if that wasn't enough, a hydraulic failure took him out of the race. Deserved so much more.
Bruno Senna
Q: 5 | R: 0 | Average: 0 | F1R: 1
Go HOME, Bruno Senna. That was MURDEROUS defending, and against his compatriot, too. Has to be the sixth or seventh time in just over a year that he's done this sort of absent-minded nonsense. He does not belong in F1. Simple as that. He's more dangerous than Maldonado. No, much more dangerous. He's more dangerous than Maldonado and Perez put together. Worst Driver
Heikki Kovalainen
Q: 6 | R: 4 | Average: 5 | F1R: 4
Reckless AND stupid. He ran into his own teammate. He couldn't even match Glock. Hulkenberg's note applies to him as well.
Vitaly Petrov
Q: 8 | R: 6 | Average: 7 | F1R: 6
Unfortunate, but he didn't really seem to be that much better than his teammate.
Pedro de la Rosa
Q: 4 | R: 6 | Average: 5 | F1R: 6
Being outqualified by Karthikeyan by over a second must hurt. He was somewhat fine in the race at least, considering the HRT is still very poor.
Narain Karthikeyan
Q: 8 | R: 5 | Average: 6.5->7 | F1R: 6
Great qualifying, but that suspension failure ended his race early. I'm pretty sure he was being outpaced by Pedro before that though.
Timo Glock
Q: 9 | R: 10 | Average: 9.5->10 | F1R: 10
Oh my goodness. That was absolutely brilliant. Just two tenths off of Kovalainen's time in qualifying, and a splendid P12 finish in the race despite damaging his car early on. This could be the end of Caterham.
Charles Pic
Q: 7 | R: 8 | Average: 7.5->8 | F1R: 7
Kept up with Glock but then his brakes died. Did well to finish only 20s behind his teammate considering the circumstances. Marussia were amazing this weekend.
Q: 8 | R: 10 | Average: 9 | F1R: 10
That early stop was a bit puzzling, but aside from that he completely outclassed Button and was more than a match for Hamilton on a day where Macca had the best car.

Sticking his neck on the line, one post at a time. Oh, and Singapore is still better than Monaco.

Re: F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R14 Singapore
Vettel: 8 - Not much to say, he drove smartly and was in the best position to take advantage of Hamilton's misfortune.
Webber: 3 - WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?
Red Bull: 7 - Good job with Vettel, but they need to sort out what's going on with Webber
Hamilton: 9 - I don't think Vettel would've beaten him without the gearbox failure.
Button: 8 - Might've won had the safety car not come out. Still drove solidly - I didn't expect him to be so close to Vettel and Hamilton
McLaren: 7 - The car is great now, but they need to work on the reliability.
Alonso: 8 - Another solid day at the office for him.
Massa: 9 - Great recovery and awesome overtake, but he shouldn't have been that low on the grid in the first place.
Ferrari: 9 - Considering they were a clear 3rd best to Red Bull and McLaren, and Massa's early troubles, they should be very happy with their result.
Rosberg: 8 - Looks like Nico has decided to stop being useless. Nice job.
Schumacher: 0 - This is why I want him to GTFO ASAP.
Mercedes: 5 - Decidedly meh all weekend. Nothing special out of them really.
Raikkonen: 8 - Good fightback after missing Q3, but his title chances are slipping away.
Grosjean: 8 - A solid drive, great performance in Q2, but he was unable to replicate that at any point afterwards.
Lotus: 5 - They need to step it up.
Di Resta: 10 - He's a bit of a Singapore specialist isn't he? Great drive, makes up for Spa and Monza somewhat.
Hulkenberg: 4 - Wrong strategy, and seemingly forgot he was overtaking Kobayashi at one stage.
Force India: 7 - They're really starting to pick up steam now.
Kobayashi: 3 - I'm starting to get worried about him now...
Perez: 5 - Mehhhh...
Sauber: 0 - Singapore is a bit of a bogey track for the team, but that was just plain bad.
Ricciardo: 8 - Made up for the disappointment at Monza by showing up his countryman.
Vergne: 7 - He was doing alright until Schumacher forgot which pedal was the brake...
Toro Rosso: 8 - Looks like they're finally getting the car and drivers sorted.
Maldonado: 9 - The one time he actually doesn't crash...
Senna: 1 - Completely shown up by Maldonado.
Williams: 8 - They have to be gutted...
Kovalainen: 5 - I'm not blaming him for Caterham being a fail.
Petrov: 5 - I'm not blaming him for Caterham being a fail.
Caterham: 0 - Them, however, I will blame.
De La Rosa: 5 - Ehhhh...
Karthikeyan: 2 - Quelle bathplugging surprise...
HRT: 5 - Alright, I suppose
Glock: 9 - I think he might keep his seat after all...
Pic: 8 - Backed up Glock well.
Marussia - 10: WHERE THE HELL DID THAT COME FROM!?
Webber: 3 - WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?
Red Bull: 7 - Good job with Vettel, but they need to sort out what's going on with Webber

Re: F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R14 Singapore
Vettel - 9 - Can't fault his driving at all, one has to wonder whether he could have beaten Lewis before his retirement
Webber - 5 - Really poor weekend, not good enough in the car he has
Button - 8 - Solid race, drove very well and was up there the whole time
Hamilton - 9 - Was leading the race
Alonso - 8 - Another podium, if he continues this, a 3rd championship will be his
Massa - 8 - Nice recovery after the puncture, and a ballsy move on Senna
Schumacher - 2 - I like you Schumi, but please retire at the end of the season
Rosberg - 7 - Took 5th place without me noticing, important points for Mercedes
Raikkonen - 7 - Kept it on the road and got some points
Grosjean - 7 - Same as Raikkonen
Di Resta - 10 - Excellent, nice response to Hulk's recent form
Hulkenberg - 4 - What was that?
Kobayashi - 2 - Very crap weekend, needs to bounce back drastically in Japan
Perez - 5 - Better than Kobayashi, but that's really not saying much
Ricciardo - 7 - Nice drive to the points
Vergne - 7 - If I recall correctly, he was ahead of Ricciardo before Schumacher ended his race
Maldonado - 8 - The one time he doesn't bathplug up, the car decides to do so instead
Senna - 2 - Say goodbye to your Williams seat Bruno, that whole weekend was crap
Kovalainen - 4 - Poor weekend, where Caterham needed to take advantage of the attrition
Petrov - 4 - Didn't really fare any better
De La Rosa - 4 - Why Enoch? Why?
Karthikeyan - 3 - He crashed
Glock - 9 - Exactly what he needed, more weekends like this will help
Pic - 7 - Not quite as quick as Glock, but a good show
Webber - 5 - Really poor weekend, not good enough in the car he has
Button - 8 - Solid race, drove very well and was up there the whole time
Hamilton - 9 - Was leading the race
Pic - 7 - Not quite as quick as Glock, but a good show
I like the way Snrub thinks!

Re: F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R14 Singapore
Thanks for opening the thread - I watched the race at my dad's, and wasn't at my computer.
My ratings:
Vettel 8 - strong race, although I don't think he could've beaten Hamilton
Webber 6 - he was slow, had KERS-problems, was unlucky with SC, and still scored a point - oh, wait...
Button 8 - typical strong Button-race, nothing spectecular
Hamilton 9 - really unlucky
Alonso 7 - clinical race, lucky podium
Massa 8 - unlucky at the start, nice charge from the back
Schumacher 2 - amateurish mistake
Rosberg 8 - really good race, although we didn't see much from it
Räikkönen 7 - average performance to be in the points
Grosjean 7 - good return from race ban
Di Resta 8 - really strong all weekend
Hülkenberg 6 - his strategy couldn't work after SC-periods
Kobayashi 5 - didn't really have the pace to shine
Perez 5 - no miracle this time
Ricciardo 7 - strong performance, nicely held off Webber
Vergne 7 - seemed good for a point or two until Schumacher's brilliant move
Maldonado 7 - messed up at the start, but still, that was a performance he could build up on - the first(?) since his win
Senna 5 - he seemed reckless today, sometimes that proved to be ok (pass on Kovalainen), other times not so much (Massa-incident)
Kovalainen 5 - he was 11th at the final restart, I'm not really sure what happened to him after that
Petrov 6 - had various car problems
De La Rosa 5 - not his best
Karthikeyan 2 - you knew he would crash at turn 18, you just did
Glock 8 - great race, although he was lucky not to crash it in the early laps
Pic 6 - good race

Re: F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R14 Singapore
1 Sebastian Vettel - With Hamilton out nobody could really outdo him, much like in qualifying. 9/10.
2 Mark Webber - Not good, even for a number 2 driver (see Massa). 5/10.
3 Jenson Button - That was the strong, cool-headed Button of 2011. 9/10.
4 Lewis Hamilton - Was untouchable, and looked set to just cruise to victory until his car failed. 9/10.
5 Fernando Alonso - That's what one would call "champion's luck". Both Hamilton and Maldonado retired, and that opened his way to the podium. 7/10.
6 Felipe Massa - From dead last at the end of the first lap into the points. Great drive. 9/10.
7 Michael Schumacher - What the heck was that, Schumi?! 2/10.
8 Nico Rosberg - A quiet race, but to his merit he took 5th on a car that's now being beaten by Force India on genuine performance. 8/10.
9 Kimi Räikkönen - Kinda anonymous. 6/10.
10 Romain Grosjean - Seemed to recover well from the ban. Was ahead much of the time but was told to give way to Kimi. 6/10.
11 Paul di Resta - The Force (India) was really with him. Great drive to 4th. 10/10.
12 Nico Hulkenberg - Seemed to have trouble the whole race. 5/10.
14 Kamui Kobayashi - Didn't really have the performance in the car this weekend. 5/10.
15 Sergio Perez - See Kobayashi. 5/10.
16 Daniel Ricciardo - Ran very strongly in the points, and had some nice scraps. 7/10.
17 Jean-Eric Vergne - Like Ricciardo, was also on a strong day, until being rammed on the rear by Schumacher. 7/10.
18 Pastor Maldonado - Was doing a very good job, qualifying 2nd and competently racing ahead of Alonso until the car gave up. 8/10.
19 Bruno Senna - Was driving fiercely (maybe a bit too much at times, like his incident with Massa), and on a good recovery race until the car failed. 7/10.
20 Heikki Kovalainen - As said in earlier posts... he was 11th after the second SC, then...? 5/10.
21 Vitaly Petrov - A very eventful race he was lucky to have finished. 5/10.
22 Pedro de la Rosa - Was mixed up in the fight for the final places with Kovalainen and Pic but his tires were finished and he couldn't manage it. 6/10.
23 Narain Karthikeyan - Crashikeyan at it again! 2/10.
24 Timo Glock - Took an EXTREMELY valuable 12th place ahead of Kobayashi! 9/10.
25 Charles Pic - Good drive. Was 14th but was overtaken by Hülkenberg and Kovalainen at the end. 6/10.
2 Mark Webber - Not good, even for a number 2 driver (see Massa). 5/10.
3 Jenson Button - That was the strong, cool-headed Button of 2011. 9/10.

Re: F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R14 Singapore
Vettel: 8 - yes he won the race but he wasn't great in qually and had to inherit the win from Hamilton's problems.
Webber: 3 - if there were any doubts about him having to support Vettel before, they're gone now.
Button: 8 - OK he was 2nd but always a bit off his teammate
Hamilton: 9 - gutted as it was promising to make the championship battle really interesting if he'd won with Alonso 4th or 5th.
Alonso: 9 - there to pick up big points again
Massa: 8 - yes a good recovery but doubt he'd have done any better than 4th if he'd ran OK from the start from a team perspective.
Schumacher: 1 - I echo the sentiments of his engineer
Rosberg: 9 - that's his best result since Monaco isn't it? He seems to excel at this track.
Raikkonen: 7 - just another steady points collecting performance
Grosjean: 7 - at least he kept it in one piece this time
Di Resta: 9 - really a track specialist isn't he?
Hulkenberg: 5 - bit ragged this time
Kobayashi: 2 - missing Q1 and finishing behind a Marussia?
Perez: 6 - better than his teammate at least. Maybe after three podiums we expect too much of him!
Ricciardo: 8 - good drive to the points and holding off a car from the parent team!
Vergne: 8 - looking good until events beyond his control
Maldonado: 9 - really feel sorry for him on this occasion, was enjoying his battle with Alonso
Senna: 3 - what a mess of a weekend
Kovalainen: 5 - what a nightmare
Petrov: 3 - reminded me of 2010 but in a slower car
De La Rosa: 5 - at least finished
Karthikeyan: 3 - what on earth was that?
Glock: 9 - a definite track specialist on top of points in 08, a posium in 09 and running in the midfield in 2010
Pic: 3 - didn't see it but doing something bad enough to warrant community service? Seriously!!!

Re: F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R14 Singapore
Vettel - 9: The win was lucky up to a point. Was incredibly quick and drove professionally, so there's no reason to fault him.
Webber - 4: I'm surprised Red Bull let him stay honestly. If Red Bull needs someone to support Vettel, then chances are in 2014 it's going to be someone else.
Red Bull - 6: RBR needs to do something about Webber quickly.
Hamilton - 8: Drove professionally until his gearbox blew up. Unlucky, but that's racing.
Button - 8: Good, clean racing.
McLaren - 5: This is the 2nd race that one of their cars has a mechanical failure. That is not good.
Alonso - 7: See Button.
Massa - 10: What in the hell was that?! Honestly I was expecting him to crash during that pass on Senna, and then to have the pass actually stick is icing on the cake. Great recovery drive.
Ferrari - 8: Were on form today, but their car needs to be quicker to catch Vettel and the McLarens.
Rosberg - 6: Didn't see much of him today, but drove respectably.
Schumacher - 3: Outpaced by Rosberg, and that wreck was amateurish to say the least.
Mercedes - 5: Looks like Toyota all over again.
Raikkonen - 7: Good drive, but nothing too spectacular. That said it could have been much worse.
Grosjean - 7: A clean race is what Grosjean needed after Spa. Kept it in the points.
Renault - 7: Business as usual
Di Resta - 9: Probably his best drive of his F1 career, and could've been on the podium.
Hulkenberg - 3: He's slipping back into his Williams antics.
Force India - 6: Di Resta's driving was excellent; Hulkenberg's is not. I honestly get the same vibe out of Hulkenberg as I did with Liuzzi; he has great potential but it rarely shows.
Kobayashi - 3: Needs to do something quickly otherwise we might see Gutierrez in the seat next year. Also, was beaten by Glock. On merit.
Perez - 4: Monza's heroics don't work on Singapore sadly.
Sauber - 3: Never one of their greatest circuits but usually they are competitive. Not this time around.
Ricciardo - 7: Professional drive from someone who I don't rate highly of. If he continues this then my view of him will change for the better.
Vergne - 7: Was having a decent race until he was booted by Schumacher.
STR - 7: A better than usual day.
Maldonado - 8: Could have scored a podium, and this time was taken out by hydraulics rather than his driving. Unlucky.
Senna - 4: Maldonado was the better of the two drivers this weekend.
Williams - 2: Both cars suffered from hydraulics failure, and Senna was mediocre all weekend. This doesn't bode well.
Kovalainen - 3: Anonymous. Again.
Petrov - 3: Less anonymous but for the wrong reasons.
Caterham - 2: When Marussia is ahead of you there is a problem.
De La Rosa - 5: Did what he could today with one of the most difficult circuits on the calender.
Karthikeyan - 4: The crash looked like it was mechanical failure, and for his first visit to the track he wasn't doing terribly either.
HRT - 5: Average.
Glock - 9: Beat a Sauber, a Force India, a Williams, and both Caterhams on merit. Glock loves this circuit it seems. Hopefully he can continue this to Japan.
Pic - 8: Did well all things considered.
Marussia - 8: Their best race all season, especially with a car with barely any development.
Webber - 4: I'm surprised Red Bull let him stay honestly. If Red Bull needs someone to support Vettel, then chances are in 2014 it's going to be someone else.
Red Bull - 6: RBR needs to do something about Webber quickly.

Re: F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R14 Singapore
Vettel 9 - A somewhat fluke-sounding race victory, but otherwise he was able to keep it up. Go!
Webber 3 - Anonymous and deadbeat. Enoch's jinxing in force.
Button 9 - Finally, he's back to the 2011 form.
Hamilton 9 - If only his gearbox did not fail...
Alonso 9 - Keep trying, sir.
Massa 7 - Controversially collided with Senna, but nice recovery.
Schumacher 2 - He should've been listed at hang up the keys and severe brain fade. Jamie, Enoch, add him!
Rosberg 6 - Did not see him much - anonymous, but took it into points.
Raikkonen 6 - Anonymous, unusually.
Grosjean 5 - Nothing special.
Di Resta 10 - UNREJECTIFIED.
Hulkenberg 4 - Did someone swap Hulk's and PDR's luck?
Kobayashi 4 - Anonymous, generally.
Perez 4 - As above, but less sighting at camera.
Maldonado 7 - Marvelous drive, like a true race winner... until his car turned against him.
Senna 6 - Collision with Massa + car failure = farce. But points is his nice recovery race until his car failed.
Kovalainen 5 - Nightmare, nightmare...
Petrov 4 - Too slow and anonymous generally. Caterham's disaster has nothing with either Kova or Cosmonaut, BTW.
PDLR 3 - You've jinxed by Enoch.
Karthikeyan 3 - Cucumber mode again...
Glock 8 - SHOCKER! MARVELOUS DRIVE! YOU NEARLY IN THE POINTS!
Pic 7 - Until Hulk and Kova overtook you, you're too marvelous.
Pardon my bias, if any.

RBR
-Vettel - 9 Not as competitive as expected, but still very good.
-Webber - 1 Please, Mark, do you really want to become WDC one day? Stop driving like you don't care.

-Rosberg - 6 Didn't notice him for most of the race, but brought home some points.
Lotus

He had to get his car in the box towards the end of the race for some kind of trouble.
