Vettel - 10: Made the most of a bad situation, and put in the drive of his year so far IMO.
Webber - 6: Was visibly slower than Vettel the whole race with no real indication as to why. Needs to pick it up if he's going to challenge for the championship.

Button - 10: That was Canada 2011-level brilliance. Absolutely brilliant the whole weekend, and really deserved that win.
Hamilton - 7: Bet he regrets that wing decision now.

Alonso - 7: Was in a great position to maintain his championship lead before Grosjean misplaced his brain.
Massa - 8: Picked up the pieces admirably.

Schumacher - 8: Made the most of his opportunites. Probably would've been on the podium had Mercedes not forgotten their car's appetite for tyres.
Rosberg - 3: He had nothing for Schumacher. Are we sure this guy won a race? Because I'm sure as hell not seeing it now.

Raikkonen - 8: He was hampered slightly by his car, but I still think he should've been a bit quicker.
Grosjean - 0: That crash was completely his fault.

Di Resta - 7: Hard to judge with that KERS failure. I suppose he did the best he could.
Hülkenberg - 9: Maximised his best opportunity in his career, and looked right at home duking it out with Raikkonen, Vettel, and Schumacher. He should be very pleased with himself.

Kobayashi - 9: Brilliant lap to claim his first front row, unfortunately his car was not up to par after the start line crash.
Perez - 7: Great lap as well, could've taken a podium.

Ricciardo - 7: Again, he made the most of it, but he was 4 seconds in front of Vergne at one point, and he finished behind him.
Vergne - 8: Outraced Ricciardo.

Maldonado - 0: Faildonado makes a big comeback here.
Senna - 9: I think he was driving on the limits of his ability today. Did well to hold off attackers, unfortunately, he was on the wrong strategy.

Kovalainen - 3: Probably his worst performance for Caterham.
Petrov - 5: Finished where I'd expect him to be.

De La Rosa - 7: Made the HRT work pretty well for him.
Karthikeyan - 5: I'll cut him some slack, he was pretty okay before that spin, and plenty of other people had slides and spins. He just had his in a very bad place to do so.

Glock - 6: Beat Kovalainen and Pic, but Kovy was fairly bad today and Pic was on the wrong strategy.
Pic - 7: Held off Glock pretty well actually. I'd give the nod to him by virtue of doing so whilst on the wrong strategy.

Vettel: 9 - great race but could he have made Q3? Webber did.
Webber: 5 - lacklustre race when he needed big points with Alonso and Hamilton out.

Button: 10 - perfection
Hamilton: 5 - accident not his fault but didn't like his behaviour

Alonso: 9 - can only judge on qualifying but think he would have been on the podium had he ran OK
Massa: 8 - maybe being the only Ferrari in the race helped him here and did a good job to take points off Webber to help his teammate in the championship

Schumacher: 9 - he's still got it after 300 races
Rosberg: 4 - where was he?

Raikkonen: 7 - seriously thought he was on for the win
Grosjean: 1 - oops

Di Resta: 4 - after being right behind his teammate on the 1st lap to finish 6 places behind is a big disappointment
Hulkenberg: 10 - didn't look out of place mixing it with the established top teams. Very impressive.

Kobayashi: 10 based on qualifying only, I honestly don't know how he finished after seeing his on-board of the crash
Perez: 9 based on qualifying

Ricciardo: 8
Vergne: 9 - good to see both Toro Rossos be proper midfielders and not just somewhere in between the midfield and the back three teams.

Maldonado: 1 as it's the least possible to give him!
Senna: 8 - fastest lap? Shame they didn't commit to 2-stopping earlier. At least he can bring the car home in one piece unlike his teammate.

Kovalainen: 3 - messiest showing in a while to be honest
Petrov: 5 - at least he beat the Marussias

De La Rosa: 8 - he overtook Kovalainen!
Karthikeyan: 3 - you messed up by not getting another 13 laps in for the Johnny Claes award....

Glock: 7
Pic: 7 - enjoyed watching their battle

Vettel - 9 Good race from a guy who I've decided to like a little bit for some reason
Webber - 8 Appeared to have gone home after his first pitstops

Button - 11 What a race. What a weekend.
Hamilton - -10 Poor. Just poor. Whignes more than my 8 month old cousin. Should be ashamed of himself.

Alonso - 5 Did all he could in qualifying, innocent victim at the start
Massa - 6 Did well to get 5th, doesn't excuse a season and a half of crapness though

Schumacher - 7 Tried to stay at the front, good defensive work as always, but the Mercedes didn't have the pace.
Rosberg - 1. Poor. Just poor.

Raikkonen - 8 A great pass at Eau Rouge excuses him from a poorer score, though the Lotus didn't have the pace we wanted it to.
Grosjean - -100. Shockingly poor. Deletraz could have done a better job. He should be ashamed.

Di Resta - 4 Couldn't capitalise on the first corner crash.
Hülkenberg - 9 Made the most of the first corner crash, really looked like he had the pace to belong at the front today.

Kobayashi - 5 Struggled on after the crash valiiantly for no reason whatsoever.
Perez - 4 Innocent victim. One point lower than Kamui because of a relatively poorer quali

Ricciardo - 7 Pleasing to see the Toro Rossos not being shite. Pulled off some good moves today
Vergne - 7 See above

Maldonado - -10 If that start had been any earlier, it would've happend before the summer break
Senna - 3 Dismal qualifying, not much better in the race.

Kovalainen - 2 An uncharacteristic poor showing by Kovy and Caterham today.
Petrov - 3 Anonymous.

De La Rosa - 5 Was ahead of both Caterhams at one point.
Karthikeyan - 1 Shockingly poor pace, then crashed at a corner no-one's ever crashed at before.

Glock - 5 Great battle with Pic, precious air time for Marussia
Pic - 6 Great battle with Glock, extra point for being consistently faster over the whole weekend.

Vettel - 8 - He CAN overtake! Some good old fights through the field this afternoon.
Webber - 7 - In the thick of the action all day,

Button - 10 - Quite simply, a perfect day in the office.
Hamilton - -10 - You petulant little twat.

Alonso - 7 - Great start but innocent victim
Massa - 8 - A nice old scrap with Webber.

Schumacher - 7 - Great defensive driving all day, opportunistic, let down by the Merc's tendancy to eat rubber
Rosberg - 4 - Passed by just about the entire field it seemed.

Raikkonen - 8 - Average, but that was a bathplugging ballsy pass at EAU ROUGE of all places! Seat of your pants stuff!
Grosjean - -100 - You twat.

Di Resta - 5 - Had a chance of unrejectification, but instead fell away.
Hulkenberg - 10 - On it all day.

Kobayashi - 5 -
Perez - 6 - Wrong place, wrong time.

Ricciardo - 8 - Where the hell did that come from?
Vergne - 8 - Where the hell did that come from?

Maldonado - 0 - What the bathplug was that!? Image
Senna - 6 - Some lovely battles, destroyed his tyres.

Kovalainen - 1 - Seriously?
Petrov - 6 - Got on with the job

De La Rosa - 7 - Great guy once again.
Karthikeyan - 1 - What a muppet.

Glock - 7 - Great battle with his team mate
Pic - 7 - Ditto

Vettel - 9 - Great work to go from 10th to 2nd.
Webber - 7 - Had the opportunity to do more, but disappeared after the stops.

Button - 10 - Flawless drive.
Hamilton - 6 - He likes to make an arse of himself, doesn't he?

Alonso - 7 - Based on a good qualifying, despite calls the car didn't suit Spa. Unceremoniously dumped out of the race.
Massa - 8 - Did a rather good job today. Had the better of Webber.

Schumacher - 7 - He did rather well despite the fact that his gearbox and the strategy didn't work properly. I laughed when he cut across Vettel then pitted.
Rosberg - 5 - What's that, now?

Raikkonen - 9 - He huffs and he puffs. Now he just needs to blow the house down...with the DDRS?
Grosjean - 1 - Oh, ROMAIN. What WOULD your mother say?

Di Resta - 5 - His car was good, then pace fell away as he had an alleged KERS issue.
Hülkenberg - 10 - Top class drive. Surely a candidate for a top drive somewhere?

Kobayashi - 8 - Again, based on qualifying. Race chances ruined in the first-corner melee.
Perez - 8 - Same as Kobayashi, but couldn't continue.

Ricciardo - 7 - Made the most of the front runners' misfortune.
Vergne - 8 - Beat his team-mate; I'll be honest, I probably rate Vergne more than Ricciardo...

Maldonado - 1 - Do we expect any less?
Senna - 7 - Tried his utmost, but was certainly on the wrong strategy.

Kovalainen - 2 - Worst race in the green and yellow machine.
Petrov - 5 - Managed to stall in the pits somehow, other than that didn't really do anything of note...

De La Rosa - 6 - A good race, especially as the car was supposed to have no chance in Belgium...
Karthikeyan - 4 - Didn't do terribly, but I've never seen anyone spin after Fagnes...

Glock - 6 - Good to see he's still got some fight in him.
Pic - 6 - Gave Glock a run for his money.

Sebastian Vettel
Q: 6 | R: 10 | Average: 8 | F1R: 10
On a day when the Macca was a class above the rest, he genuinely outpaced Button. Not only that, but he had to cut his way through many drivers, his teammate and the extremely aggressive Schumacher included. If that doesn't make up for a poor qualifying session I don't know what does. There are drives that deserve way more than just a 10. His very own defense against Raikkonen in Bahrain and Alonso's charge in Valencia are two such examples.

Mark Webber
Q: 8 | R: 6 | Average: 6.5->7 | F1R: 6
Had no answer whatsoever to his teammate. Did Vettel have the same top speed problems as he did?

Jenson Button
Q: 10 | R: 9.5 | Average: 9.75->10 | F1R: 10
Splendid all around. Nothing more needs to be said. Loses half a point for being slightly outpaced by Vettel, but it's nowhere near enough to bump him from the top. Driver of the Weekend

Lewis Hamilton
Q: 5 | R: N/A | Average: 5 | F1R: 5
He must be regretting his decision to change the rear wing. His setup choice means that he wouldn't have made much progress through the field, though.

Fernando Alonso
Q: 7 | R: N/A | Average: 7 | F1R: 7
Extremely unfortunate. Thank goodness he's okay. Made a mistake in Q3 but the podium would likely have been out of his reach anyway.

Felipe Massa
Q: 4 | R: 8 | Average: 6 | F1R: 7
Had genuinely good pace considering the circumstances. His last stint was great, but for some reason he dropped back near the end, which cost him a better finish.

Michael Schumacher
Q: 7 | R: 9 | Average: 8 | F1R: 9
Nothing more he could do. Not with that joke of a car. Exceptional defense against Vettel and Raikkonen.

Nico Rosberg
Q: 3 | R: 7 | Average: 5 | F1R: 6
That car is a joke.

Kimi Raikkonen
Q: 8.5 | R: 7.5 | Average: 8 | F1R: 8
Could've done better, but he did get held up by Schumacher.

Romain Grosjean
Q: 7 | R: 1 | Average: 4 | F1R: 1
Go HOME, Romain Grosjean. 7 first lap incidents in 12 races? Are you kidding me? You're even more dangerous than Maldonado. Excuses won't save you. You do not belong in F1. Worst Driver

Paul di Resta
Q: 8 | R: 7 | Average: 7.5->8 | F1R: 8
No KERS throughout the entire race, so he was quite unfortunate.

Nico Hulkenberg
Q: 7 | R: 10 | Average: 8.5->9 | F1R: 9
Kept his cool against the likes of Webber, Massa, Raikkonen and Schumacher. Very nice.

Kamui Kobayashi
Q: 9 | R: 7 | Average: 8 | F1R: 8
I can't be too harsh on him. Early overheating issues + everyone bumping into his front-right tyre meant that he should've immediately retired, but he kept it going and even finished on the lead lap. Good performance considering the circumstances.

Sergio Perez
Q: 8 | R: N/A | Average: 8 | F1R: 7
Extremely unfortunate, but I seriously cannot give him a higher rating than Kamui.

Daniel Ricciardo
Q: 7 | R: 7 | Average: 7 | F1R: 7
Good drive but outshined by Vergne.

Jean-Eric Vergne
Q: 6 | R: 8 | Average: 7 | F1R: 8
Great drive all around.

Pastor Maldonado
Q: 9 | R: 1 | Average: 5 | F1R: 2
The pastor strikes once more. I think he has some sort of affinity towards the backside of the HRTs and the Marussia Virgins.

Bruno Senna
Q: 4 | R: 7 | Average: 5.5->6 | F1R: 5
Destroyed by Maldonado in qualifying, did what he could in the race.

Heikki Kovalainen
Q: 7 | R: 1 | Average: 4 | F1R: 2
This is why he's overrated. Pedro almost beat him. Pedro. And this was on a day when he wasn't even doing all that much better compared to Narain.

Vitaly Petrov
Q: 6 | R: 6 | Average: 6.5->7 | F1R: 6
At least he beat the Marussias. Can't say the same for Heikki.

Pedro de la Rosa
Q: 8 | R: 7 | Average: 7.5->8 | F1R: 8
Outqualified his teammate by two seconds, but they were far more evenly matched on race day. At least until the Indian lost it. Good fight with Heikki, considering how pathetic his car is. Constantly proving that he's still a good driver.

Narain Karthikeyan
Q: 4 | R: 5 | Average: 4.5->5 | F1R: 5
Hey, we can't be too harsh on him this time around - he was genuinely matching PdlR!

Timo Glock
Q: 8 | R: 8 | Average: 8 | F1R: 8
Considering Maldonado hit him early on, he did a very fine job beating Pic and keeping up with Petrov.

Charles Pic
Q: 5 | R: 6 | Average: 5.5->6 | F1R: 5
Just wasn't good enough.
Sticking his neck on the line, one post at a time. Oh, and Singapore is still better than Monaco.

Really? I'm not seeing it much there. Also, it was mentioned on the BBC that Button was just pacing himself for a lot of the race - I think had anyone actually been a genuine threat, he could've gone faster.

1 Sebastian Vettel - Had a bad start, but made up for it with good race pace. 9/10.
2 Mark Webber - Average. 6/10.

3 Jenson Button - The class of the field for the whole weekend. An emphatic victory. 10/10.
4 Lewis Hamilton - Was taken out by Grosjean, but as said in earlier posts probably wouldn't do much. 5/10.

5 Fernando Alonso - Was taken out in that 1st corner accident. Going for the qualy performance then... 7/10.
6 Felipe Massa - Good drive for 5th from 14th on the grid. Now he needs to do that more often. 8/10.

7 Michael Schumacher - Running as high as 3rd on genuine race pace with that car was a really Schumi-esque performance. However, he lost 6th gear on his car and everybody just breezed through with DRS and he had no way of fighting back. 8/10.
8 Nico Rosberg - Did what he could from second-last on the grid. 7/10.

9 Kimi Räikkönen - Good performance, nice podium. 8/10.
10 Romain Grosjean - Seriously... 1/10.

11 Paul di Resta - Picked up the final point. 6/10.
12 Nico Hulkenberg - Very strong performance, nicely rewarded with a good points haul for 4th. 9/10.

14 Kamui Kobayashi - Superb qualifying... only to have any hopes of a good result destroyed on the 1st corner. 7/10.
15 Sergio Perez - See Kobayashi. 7/10.

16 Daniel Ricciardo - Good. Finished on the points. 7/10.
17 Jean-Eric Vergne - See Vergne. 7/10.

18 Pastor Maldonado - He seriously needs to fix that erratic driving of his. It's costing Williams far too much already. 2/10.
19 Bruno Senna - Tried his best, and drove well, but bad strategy hampered his effort. 7/10.

20 Heikki Kovalainen - Known to exceed the abilities of his car, this time he went a bit over the edge. 4/10.
21 Vitaly Petrov - Kept cool, and drove with composure. 6/10.

22 Pedro de la Rosa - Provided HRT with some nice racing action at the back of the pack. 7/10.
23 Narain Karthikeyan - Crash was not his fault. Didn't look any good compared to de la Rosa though. 4/10.

24 Timo Glock - The Marussias were performing better than usual overall. 6/10.
25 Charles Pic - See Glock. 6/10.

Very late to the party....

Webber - 6 - Ditto, but further down the field.

Button - 10 - Flawless victory
Hamilton - 6 - Did well up until the start.

Alonso - 6 - Should have been challenging button
Massa - 7 - Drove okay to beat the uninspiring Webber.

Schumacher - Make the most of his deserved lucky break - 8
Rosberg - Poor all weekend, but helped Schumacher by holding early stoppers - 5

Raikkonen - 8 - Had a great drive for a podium.
Grosjean - 1 - Put brain in Neutral.

Di Resta - 3 - Was beaten by team mate convincingly.
Hülkenberg - 9 - 4th was as well as they could have hoped for.

Kobayashi - 8 - 13th was not where he should have been but did well to recover.
Perez - 7 - should have been on the podium.

Ricciardo - 6 - Scored some points but could have done better.
Vergne - 8 - Vergne did do better.

Maldonado - 2 - Jumped the start and seemed to not know what the back of a car looked like so went for a loser look.
Senna - 7 - Not too inspiring but did get fastest lap.

Kovalainen - 4 - Had a shocker.
Petrov - 6 - Best of the backmarkers is not a great title.

De La Rosa - 7 - Drove a nice race, nearly getting ahead of Kovalainen.
Karthikeyan - 3 - Loves to spin off.

Glock - 6 - Was the better of the two Marussias.
Pic - 5 - But that is not saying much.....
