Re: alternative racing career(no not another one)
Yes, but there should be a name for it, right?

The Chris Dagnall Memorial Forum.

Too true.
Or if it has to be a real reject, Pedro Chaves; the only way he would have gotten in to a race would have been in an alternate universe.
Better than 'Tour in a suit case' Takagi.

The Perry McCarthy Memorial Forum.
The only way he'd have had a crack at a proper F1 career would be in an alternate universe...

If we're talking about people having a crack at F1 in an alternate universe, then it should be named the Mike Thackwell Memorial Forum. Because he really didn't do much racing in F1, he failed to restart in the Canadian GP 1980, then he had a turbo problem in Canada, again, this time in 1984. Other than that, nothing else to say!

I approve of this notion

eytl tried to set it up a little while ago, maybe Kuwashima will have better luck
My bet is that as soon as the fourm is set up then that'll pretty much be the end of the alternate championship fad.

I was about to suggest the same.
How about the Otto Stuppacher Memorial Forum?
Forza Forti

Since F1 Rejects has a lot of love towards Japanese, it must be Tse Sakamoto Memorial Forum.
Tse Sakamoto is a driver who was in old Grand Prix Circuit game.

I wouldn't object to that!

Just look at the first page of this forum.
There are no threads about reject drivers or reject teams.
Making a separate forum for alternate universe threads could kill off this forum.

That's a good point, I guess there becomes a time when the list of rejects (or those who were famous/remembered in some way) becomes exhausted, though there'll always be discussion on them because this is the F1 Rejects forum! A lot of that discussion probably goes on within other threads in the forums though so there is rarely a need to start up new threads here.

Or, it could return this forum to its original intention.

I don't see why. People would alternate between general discussion threads, other F1 stuff threads, and alternate universe threads, if I understood the concept correctly.

The point is without all the alternate universe threads this place would be pretty much empty all the time. Like HWNSNBM forum empty.

Why empty? I think I've lost the plot

There probably would be a few more posts on them from people browsing or skimming the forum (rather than going back to individual threads) if they were on the first page, just my thinking on it. For that I would be in favour of having somewhere other than here for the computer game careers.

When I first looked around the forums I thought this sub-forum was solely for alternate universe/what if game threads. If that stuff had a clearly denoted sub-forum people might be more encouraged to discuss rejects (things that actually happened )
I have nothing against all the alt career threads, they are fun, but they do tend to bury some really good threads, such as the 2009 teams "reject years" series (yep, I've lurked here for ages)
