I didn't even think they'd have Fosters in the States. I thought all of their beers had to be watered down.

At least a Jordan driver is on the podium.
I like the way Snrub thinks!

They had Vodafone banners all over the place and that isn't in the States either!

It's only the name-brand beers that are water. There are a lot of good lesser-known beers. But Budweiser ruins it for everyone.

I WILL NEVER FORGET TIAGO MONTEIRO ON THAT PODIUM.
Best day of my life. (well not really, because it was a fail race, but you know.)

If you look at the picture Gobs posted, Tiago is making an ENORMOUS effort to look at least a bit contrived.

It was good to see at least one driver try to make a proper race of it... ...though making a race when two-thirds of the cars on the track don't really want to be there is very difficult!

I really, really, really wanted the Ferraris to crash during that race. Then they almost did, but they failed to. I was disappointed.

I had the same thoughts... And it was the only race my mum and sister have ever sat through (they are not fans) simply because the race was so fail.

If they crashed, Minardi would have been on the podium right?

Yep:
1. Monteiro
2. Karthikeyan
3. Albers
4. Friesacher

US GP 2005 - best to watch with Austrian TV commentary starring Heinz Prüller and Niki Lauda. I've only heard snippets of their legendary commentary for that race, but I'd love to watch them in full. They were hilarious.
This race will always have a special place in the hearts of F1 Rejects fans. And it was the last podium for a Jordan ever.

I think I've seen bits of it on youtube somewhere. Weren't they just taking turns at insulting each other (jokingly of course)?

Last points for Minardi as well.

One of two occasions when both scored - other being British GP 1989.
And indeed, last race to date where all points haven't been given.

And that was the only race that Ferrari could win all year...

How many races have there been where not all points have been awarded? Even such recent high attrition races like Monaco 1996 and Adelaide 1995 have had all points awarded, thanks to enough being classified...

I can think of San Marino 1982.

Well, OK, but there were exceptional circumstances there too, and there would have been full point scorers if Winklehock had not been disqualified (at least according to a quick Wikipedia search, and why was he disqualified?).

Winkelhock was disqualified for being (just) under the minimum weight limit. No doubt Gustav Brunner exploded in a rage just for a change.
Fabi was still running in the Toleman but too many laps down to be classified sadly.

8 cars finished in Adelaide 95 actually.

Kinda proving my point - 26 starters, 8 finishers - a high attrition race, with 3/4 of all finisers getting points, whereas with the 2010 points system, there would have been points going spare...
