Burger King...

Post by AndreaModa »

Watching the first practice for the Spanish GP and what's that I see on the side of the Sauber cars? Yes folks a rather small but unquestionably pathetic and rejectworthy logo adorns the acres of white space: that of Burger King...

Now we all know Sauber are struggling to find sponsors this season, but BK?? Not quite as bad as Xena: Warrior Princess but its not far off!

Does that mean that if Pedro Da La Rosa Test Driver Sharapova crashes at the first corner he turns into an angry whopper?

Joe Saward points out in his blog that fast food is almost as unhealthy as tobacco & asks (tongue in cheek) if we should ban ads for that too.

Here's hoping that Sauber can make this international food giant a constant presence on their cars soon, albeit much larger.

With the Ferrari engines having gotten a durability overhaul before Barcelona, this should be possible.
"I don't think we should be used to finance (the manufacturers') R&D because they will produce that engine anyway" said Monisha Kaltenborn.
"You will never see a Mercedes using a Ferrari engine or the other way round."

So, in Austria the Burger Kings serve great fries but the burgers are no good?

I think this is all a very clever tactic. Because Peter Sauber knows that his engines will expire in flames again, thereby creating the advertising slogan of "Burger King: With The Heat Of F1™"

They can, and they do salads too! Burger King rules! (except as a small logo in the Sauber)

That's how most of them are here too. That's why I prefer American institutions such as IHOP, Denny's or Jack-In-The-Box. Breakfast all day, m*****f*****s.

It's only for two races: Barcelona and Valencia because it's not actually Burger King that is sponsoring Sauber - it's Burger King's Spanish arm.

All that means is that the company as a whole isn't sponsoring the team, just the part of the company that operates in Spain.

I long since boycotted Burger King, but if they're going to sponsor Sauber for the rest of the year as claimed by Will Buxton, then I may just have to return.
