Any chance you could space the years out a bit? Would be easier to read, at least for me anyway.

I think it's worth pointing out that in these alternate systems we come up with, Jacques Laffite almost always seems to become a champion.

Just as I do in the other alternative threads, I'm going to predict all the other champions from 1981 to date (I hope I'm not spoiling but I've had a fair few wrong in the "previous champions are eliminated" championships)!!

1981: Jones
1982: Arnoux
1983: Tambay
1984: Piquet
1985: Senna
1986: Senna
1987: Mansell
1988-1991: all Senna :)
1992: Mansell
1993: Prost
1994: Schumacher
1995: Coulthard (that could be a surprise)
1996: Hill
1997: Villeneuve
1998: Hakkinen
1999: Hakkinen
2000- 2004 : all Schumacher (don't think Montoya for instance was consistent enough in 2002)
2005: Raikkonen (do penalties for engine changes and stuff count though?)
2006: Alonso
2007: Hamilton
2008: Hamilton
2009: Button
2010 (thus far): Vettel (ha!)

I think Montoya may just take the championship in 2002 considering they were still using the old points systems (Pre-03)

Definitely approve of Arnoux and Tambay being champions! :)

Also amazed John Watson only scorres 1 point in 1982, considering how close he came in reality!

Well, qualifying results doesn't necessarily reflect where did a driver stand in the championship. They're more a gauge for both the cars and drivers' raw speed. In 1983, for instance, neither Watson nor Lauda scored in my championship despite driving McLarens and Watson winning a race and coming 6th in the WDC. In fact, both McLarens DNQed in Monaco.
So, I bring more results...

Surprised how poor Senna does in 1987 compared to 1986, the Lotus was no worse compared to Williams/McLaren that year, he even finshed higher in the championship for real!

Also surprised how far down the Benettons are in 1988 and 1990, and also Mansell is ahead of Prost in 1990!

They both had a same amount of poles and I think Montoya was only one or two times 2nd. Schumacher takes it I would say.

There wasn't really much to comment on last time I'm sorry to say!

Surprises here: Schumacher beating Villeneuve in 1996 considering their respective machinery! Schumacher beating Irvine in 1999 despite missing a lot of races.

What race did Magnussen qualify 6th for in 1997?

How about posting what the standings would be for this year so far, or would that be too predictable (a Red Bull walkover?)

By rejects eligible only, do you mean everyone is eligible until they unrejectify themselves, or qualified rejects only?

I can do it...
1-S. Vettel-286
2-M. Webber-253
3-L. Hamilton-171
4-F. Alonso-158
5-F. Massa-126
6-R. Kubica-103
7-J. Button-102
8-N. Rosberg-101
9-M. Schumacher-43
10-R. Barrichello-29
11-N. Hülkenberg-22
12-A. Sutil-21
13-V. Liuzzi-12
14-V. Petrov-9
And here comes a bit of an interesting bit...
15-P. de la Rosa-4
16-K. Kobayashi-4
The tiebraker comes from de la Rosa having two 9ths, and Kobayashi having a 9th and two 10ths
And my new championship will be about quailified rejects only. The results for 1950 are these:
1-J. Claes-20 (he won the title a la Dr. Jack Miller  )
2-B. Gerard-16
3-N. Pagani-8
4-P. Levegh-8
5-T. Branca-7
6-C. Harrison-6
7-P. Hampshire-4
8-G. Crossley-4
9-E. Chaboud-4
10-C. Pozzi-3
11-J. Fry-1,5
12-B. Shawe-Taylor-1,5

As long as it doesn't involve stealing my idea, it's fine. I'm going to much fancier reviews for the 2011 Qualifying Cup and Rejects Championship, with race-to-race reviews and revised standings after every race. Stay tuned!

It involves mixing two alternative championships together, including yours. I'll add it as a voting category in the FORCWSOGMM (or something like that) thread.
