I've taken a look and it turns out that, at 217 days, this is only the third longest gap between races in the history of the sport. The current record stands at 266 days, which is the gap between the 1950 Italian GP, held on the 3rd September, and the 1951 Swiss Grand Prix on the 27th May - to put that into perspective, it would be the equivalent of the first race of the 2020 season being on the 23rd August.
The next longest gap after that is 224 days, which is the gap between the 1961 United States and 1962 Dutch Grand Prix respectively. The third longest gap used to be 210 days, which was the time between the 1965 Mexican and 1966 Monaco Grand Prix.

I said I was going to keep the same Predicament Predictions for the entire season - or what's left of it now - and see how far it takes me. This, despite the considerable handicap of not having a double-points round, is going to be tricky. Trickier still is that I fully intend to move house some time this year and will probably be bereft of internet access right at the point where the races come in thick and fast and I have to catch up with three of them at a time...

Almost nobody guessed Giovinazzi or Gasly in the top 10, and in hindsight one of them would end up winning a race! Congratulations to Francis23 for winning on their début! Beginner's luck maybe, but they're already leading the championship - a Predictions Giancarlo Baghetti perhaps!
