Liberty media could face CMA probe.

Post by andrew »

It is being reported that liberty media who have purchased Formula 1 could be facing a probe from Uk Regulator the Compeition and Markets authority (CMA) on the grounds that such a big acquisition would rifle competition. The CMA replaced the office of fair trading in 2014 and has regulated banks and has intervened in Ferrylink operating outside of Calais. Not that this is linked to f1

Could Liberty Media buying into F1 mean a 2nd US GP is on the cards for 2018?
"I don't think we should be used to finance (the manufacturers') R&D because they will produce that engine anyway" said Monisha Kaltenborn.
"You will never see a Mercedes using a Ferrari engine or the other way round."
