2018 Macau Formula Masters - Engines!
2018 Macau Formula Masters - Engines!
Welcome to the Macau Formula Masters, the brand new event to see who is the best driver around the iconic Guia Circuit.
Teams:
Teams that can participate are teams that are ranked in the top 7 of AutoReject 2.0, and top 6 of 3. If a team owner doesn't respond or refuses to participate, their entry will go to next person on the line of the series, and so on. Should you not want to use the original team, you can create a one-off Asian-based team. I gave the extra team to AutoReject 2.0 on the basis that the race is supporting a AutoReject event. Speaking of AutoReject 2.0, only teams participating in the Post-Season Test will be allowed to participate in the Macau event.
Here's a full list of teams:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
Notes:
Green means that the team is guaranteed an entry unless they reject it.
Yellow means that the team could get an entry, depending on various factors.
Red means that the team can't get an entry, for reasons noted in the sheet.
Drivers:
There are some restrictions to drivers. First off, drivers with experience in ARWS, AR3.5, F1, or F2 are not allowed, excluding NC races.
Drivers' performance will be based on previous success in canon.
Real-life drivers are allowed, and if said RL driver has raced with your team in 2018, you can use him/her without any RNG.
There is no age restrictions.
Weekend:
There will be a 20-minute qualifying session which will determine the grid of the race, run at 180km - 29 laps.
Chassis:
The car will be provided by Dallara - the FM18.
Engines:
There will be three engine manufacturers: one weak but light and reliable, one average and one powerful but unreliable and heavy. These suppliers are NBE, Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz respectively.
Miscellaneous:
This race will be run on GP2.
Once entries are sorted, you can choose your engines.
Please confirm your entries now. I will give you this form:
For numbers, you can choose from 2-99. 1 is not allowed. Numbers don't have to be consecutive. Stealing traditional team numbers of teams is not allowed at all.

Mailk Zidan is interested in participating in the Macau Formula Masters for another team if FXS Racing is not participating. Being a race winner and taking a win in Formula 3 he hopes that he can show his skills against the some of the best drivers in the lower formulae.

Do you want to be part of the next generation of motorsport? Do you want to make your team truly stand out?
Cooperate with Russian Robotics and insert RRB-GP/VP into one of your cars. This highly advanced AI is capable of driving competitive car races safely and efficiently. After field testing in Australian F5000, where it beat skilled drivers such as Mitchell Macklin and Yuka Katayama, it is ready for competition on one of the hardest circuits this world has to offer.

Re: 2018 Macau Formula Masters - Preparations
ICE-3 Racing will not make the trip to Macau. Our AR2.0 drivers were scheduled to take part in this event, but their appearance in the AR3.5 Nobushige Fukuda Memorial Trophy make them inelligible for the race. Thanks anyways!

I haven't entered him because i entered him in the AR3.5 Nobushige Fukuda Memorial Trophy to prepare for his AR3.5 debut. If rules allow it, he can still enter here for a different team if he wants.

Should probably had phrase that better, but NC races do not count as AR3.5 experience.

Alright. With entries done, might as well start preparations for this.
Now, engines:
BHP indicates the horsepower of the engine.
WP indicates the weight penalty; the higher the value is, the more grip that is extracted out of the driver's value.
CFP indicates Car Failure Probability, ie how much your car is gonna last before it goes toast. The lower the value, the better.
There are no limits of engines that a supplier can provide, but Threebond will only provide engines to one team.
You have until February 10, 7:00 PM CEST to publish your engine choices.
---
Venturi will choose Volkswagen engines.

Re: 2018 Macau Formula Masters - Engines!
My attempts to use a team more local to the race don't seem particularly well thought out; I'd like to rename my team to NDDP Racing if possible. Our racing numbers will be changed to #22 and #23. We will use Volkswagen engines.
