Vettel to become a father - report

Post by Aerospeed »

I don't usually start threads, but I thought this might be a good occasion:

Here's Eurosport's (brief) take on the subject of Vettel being a father.

What struck me the most was that Vettel had a girlfriend for a long time - I hadn't even known he had one until now! I gotta admit, I was slightly concerned when I saw that Vettel was to become a father... without the knowledge of him having a gf... I know haha

Anyways, big congrats to Vettel + Family, let's hope he doesn't name his child "North West!" Or the German equivalent

Congrats to the Weltmeister. The report said how Maldonado was also a daddy, but if so when did this happen?

I thought only Grosjean was a new father this season. Congrats to Vettel though.

I wonder if he always finishes first too ;)

Yes it is easy to overlook Seb was runner up in 2009 as well as collecting those 4 Titles

2033: Vettel Jr Runner up
2034: Vettel Jr Champion
2035: Vettel Jr Champion
2036: Vettel Jr Champion
2037: Vettel Jr Champion

Then there's potential hope for another female driver in F1! Not giving up yet, as along with Baker, I'd like to see it. I wasn't alive when the last female to vie for a spot on the grid was driving.

I mean, IndyCar has good female drivers, why can't F1 have it as well?

Because IndyCar is a step below F1. Which makes me think, a female driver moving to F1 through IndyCar would be two novelty drivers in one.

Other drivers are surely hoping that the saying about each child slowing you comes true with Vettel.

For the record, I wasn't suggesting in my post that if Vettel was to have a girl she would be slow, it was just an idea. BTW I do like the idea of female F1 driver.

You all seem to have forgotten that I have the 2037 championship sewn up already:

I should add, given that both boys already have "racing car" in their vocabulary before age 2, they are well on their way.

I predict Vettel will still be racing and we'll have a situation much like 1985 in IndyCar. Complete with Vettel winning by one point and Jan Lammers showing up in five races.
