The Porsche Reject Cup: 2016 Fall Season - R1 Results Up

Post by Hound55 »

Hello, ladies and gents. Welcome to the beginning of a new era. GT racing shall forever be changed as we usher in a new licensing system, and a new series.
Image
Wiki

The Porsche Reject Cup is a one make series, starring the 2005 Porsche 911 GT3. Since there are several touring car series below the Porsche Reject Cup, there are two separate seasons each year to guarantee that drivers can move up to the series easily. The Spring season is in North America, South America, and Australia while the Fall season is in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Each season is eight races long, with the final round being a double header. There is a month long recess between each season in order to give drivers time to sign deals to move around the racing ladder.

This series will be run in rFactor

How to Join
If you would like to start a team, please use the template below:

Team Name: NAME (COUNTRY)
Car 1 No.: #
Driver 1: DRIVER NAME (NATIONALITY)

Car 2 No.: #
Driver 2: DRIVER NAME (NATIONALITY)

A few rules for accepting teams
1. For the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 season, you may create new drivers. However, after those seasons, drivers must come with either Reject Touring Car Championship, Super Touring Cup, or Rejectruck experience. They may also be from a higher series as well, but nothing lower than that.
2. Numbers do not need to be sequential, but must be between 0 and 99. 1 can not be used until after the first season. After the Fall 2016 season, the championship driver will reserve the right to the number 1. Teams already in the series will also hold numbers they have from the previous season should they wish, meaning new teams can not steal another teams numbers.
3. The tires will be Michelins and the cars will be Porsches. Other than that, you are free to have any brand affiliation you please.
4. You can have 1 or two drivers. No more, technically no less.
5. I will take a maximum of 18 teams. Any more and I will struggle to find tracks that will hold that many cars.

2016 Fall Season
Round 1: Oulton Park (with F1RDS) - August 12-14, 2016
Round 2: Nurburgring GP (standalone) - August 26-28, 2016
Round 3: Belgian Late Night Fight: Spa-Francorchamps (Spa Superprix) - September 9-11, 2016 NIGHT
Round 4: Adria (with F3RWRS & RTCC) - September 29-October 1, 2016
Round 5: Fuji (standalone) - October 21-23, 2016
Round 6: Macau (with F1RWRS) - October 28-30, 2016
Round 7-8: Dual in the Desert: Bahrain Sprint (standalone) - November 17-20, 2016

Point System
Points are awarded the same way they are in Porsche Supercup right now.

1st - 20
2nd - 18
3rd - 16
4th - 14
5th - 12
6th - 10
7th - 9
8th - 8
9th - 7
10th - 6
11th - 5
12th - 4
13th - 3
14th - 2
15th - 1

Templates
If you are artistic, then here are the templates for the cars. If you are not, please say so in the thread so that someone may design a car for you. I'm warning you all now, I am only average at making liveries, so I'd appreciate if one of you could do the honors.

Has both .psd and .pdn

There are no mandatory number boxes, so don't worry about putting any on the car.

I was wondering if you all would be okay with me partaking in my own series. My activity in the PMMF is limited by the availability of space in other racing series. I'm fine if the general consensus is no, just would like to grow my sphere of influence is all.

I'll try to stream the races using Ustream. Since I won't really be scheduling when I run races for this, I will offer to PM you if I plan to start a race soon. If you don't want the unnecessary clutter in your email, then no worries. But if you like clutter and/or have a smart phone for quick email access, then this might be something you would like.

I also have no art skills so could someone please do the livery for me?

I am fine with you taking part in the series and yes, I would like the email thing as well please.

Thanks

EDIT: Regarding the livery, a Black and orange paint job with Repsol sporsoring would be awesome!
Thanks

I'll name the first driver later.

Using the dates you've given, I've come up with some ideas for a calendar:
Round 1: Oulton Park (with F1RDS) - August 12-14, 2016
Round 2: TBD - August 26-28, 2016 (A good weekend for a standalone event, since the only support option would be Brands Hatch with the Rallycross series)
Round 3: Spa-Francorchamps (Spa SuperPrix, with everything) - September 9-11, 2016
Round 4: Adria (with RTCC/F3RWRS) - September 29-October 1, 2016
Round 5: Zhuhai (with GTR/F2RWRS) - October 21-23, 2016
Round 6: Macau (with F1RWRS) - October 28-30, 2016
Round 7-8: Groningen - November 25-27, 2016 (I moved it back a week, because it matches with the Touring Masters event)
Feel free to throw all that out the window :P

Also, I'm cool with you entering yourself, a lot of other series owners do the same thing, including myself :D

Might as well make sure the old fart's race-ready before he jumps into the Super Touring category later this year. The second seat is open to anyone who is at least half-decent and won't wreck the car. If they do well enough, they'll be in the running to earn a promotion to either the JLD GT-R team or the DCR-ZimSport RTCC team for 2017.

Livery-wise, could someone knock up a simple livery of black with green and yellow stripes, and the Dairy Crest logo liberally slapped on the car? I shall repay you with my gratitude or with some Predicament Predictions results... :)

Looks great. I forgot to mention this earlier, but I believe the rear bumper is actually mirrored, so everything you will want to put on there needs to be reversed. Everything else is fine. I will fix the window numbers thing when I find the time, too.

Also, you still have the outline of the Carrera Cup box on your car. It can be removed as a layer in photoshop/paint.net

This will be a great addition to the growing touring and GT side of the canon. I will be doing my own livery, and wouldn't mind taking on other people's too if they can't manage it themselves. The team is a new project preceding a restructuring of my operations in the canon, with the second seat open to offers.

I made a wiki page for the Porsche Reject Cup. There are two issues with the numbers.

1) Rob Lomas Racing have requested the number 1 for Karimov, but I prefer it if no one would run the number 1 as long as the series has no champion.

2) Both Il Barone Rampante and Rob Lomas Racing have requested #27.

Abdel Genazzi, fresh from his half-season in the IRFC, is openly looking for a seat in the Porsche Reject Cup. Hey, he's not particularly fast, but he generally makes it to the end of races! Consider him to be a 6 foot 4, mustachioed Algerian equivalent to Max Chilton :P

Something italian would be great, maybe inspired by this: http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ferlito- ... to-314816/ but with the red and green switched. :) Be creative and for sponsors it just has to be some italian companies. :) Cheers!

I can make a start on liveries, so I'll be happy to start that now for you. FMecha, I'll take a look at yours as well this evening.

I'll send my car in once I've got a second driver.

As for the Globex livery, I'm not too fussy about the livery, so long as you make it stand out while not being too terrible.

Whoever does it, I'd prefer you use this logo:

... though, if you think you can make something better with the original one, be my guest:

... and if possible, I'd like the motto here to be incorporated somewhere on the car:

Lastly, I'd like it if there were assorted minor sponsors filling up any blank spaces.

Henri Racing Technologies will enter, however, the 2 drivers I plan to enter will miss the second half because of commitments to the F1RSTC based in the current provisional schedule. The 2 drivers I plan to enter for the first half are:

Team Name: Henri Racing Technologies (USA)

Car 1 No. 63
DRIVER 1: Jukka-Pekka Kankaanpää (Finland)

Car 2 No. 84
DRIVER 2: Clément Grandmaison (France)

I'll announce drivers for the second half ASAP. I'll announce what type of livery I want later, as I have nowhere near the skills to do it myself.

EDIT: I'll be happy to get an email alerting when a race will start. Thank you :)

For the Commonwealth livery, I'd be fine with any design, just that it incorporates the logo below in some way, preferably in a blue and gold color scheme.

Thanks in advance to anyone who decides to take this on.

Maybe it would be better to have the same two drivers for the whole season? You'll ruin your shot at the championship if you have two sets of drivers, but its up to you.

As for the Eastern Racing Alliance, here is our livery for the #77 car. #78 to follow soon.

I'm just trying to get my newer drivers in the F1RSTC more seat time, which right now I think is most important to them rather than running at championship pedigree. My view is that the more experience, the better the driver gets. Heck, Jukka-Pekka is only 18, maybe he's still in the mindset of having fun being most important ;)

Well, I'll think about it. I don't think it really matters who I have drive for me right now, as my team is kind of a development team. We want to do well, but my main goal was to get my drivers in F1RSTC (and RTSS to a certain extent) some seat time over here in this new series. So, I'll think about it. I'll announce when I've made a decision. If there are any other offers, I'll have to think about them too, as I've gotten a gig going in the Drivers Needed topic.

Re: The Porsche Reject Cup: 2016 Fall Season - ENTRY LIST CL

Post by Hound55 »

Okay, a few updates:

ENTRY LIST IS NOW CLOSED

*ahem* Yes, there are no more spots left, I'm afraid. In fact, we hit our limit of teams. I think tracks will be able to handle it, but if they can't, drivers may DNQ. You have been warned.

Also, if there are parts of on the entry list under your username that are left empty, I did not receive them or they were already taken. I am primarily concerned about numbers, so make sure if your entry does not have a number listed so we can sort that out before we get to the liveries.

LONG LIVE MARUSSIA

Things I was wrong about:
Kimi to Ferrari, Perez out of McLaren, Maldonado to Lotus, Kobash comes back, Gutierrez stays, Chilton stays, Boullier leaves Lotus.

I stream Ustream, we all scream for PRC.
