Looks like F1 Deprivation is now affecting the drivers as well. Or maybe, seeing as DJ Squire currently is not on the grid for the season, Hamilton has decided to fill his shoes. It surely cannot be worse than his driving last season, can it?

NOTE: This story is run by The Scum, so take it with a pinch of salt...

Of all the songs in the world, that's one of the few you don't actually need to change the lyrics to in order to link it to F1.

and when we cross the line we always come to late

I can just see Felipe Massa's debut single coming out ...

"If you're having girl trouble, I feel bad for you son
I got ninety-nine problems, but a bitch ain't one."

This has the potential to be as embarrassing as the F*** It (I Don't Want You Back) single and F.U.R.B. (F*** You Right Back) response song from a few years ago. Which gave birth to this brilliance (in the Formula 1 world, I imagine this would be performed by Alonso).

I remember saying Hamilton was like Jacques Villeneuve in that he would eventually record an album... proof that F1 Rejects is ahead of the rest of the world. Unwittingly.

Now we only have to wait if he is as talented(less) as Villeneuve is for music. As for the sales no doubt he will sale a lot. If he is really good, he manages to sale naturally but if he is crap then all the mindless fans of his (he is a star so, like all stars, he certainly has some) will help boost sales.

Then maybe he can use that money to help offset his McLaren repair bill.

I remember saying ages ago - something like 2009 - Lewis Hamilton was going to become the next Jacques Villeneuve, with a backwards career trajectory. I didn't expect him to reach this stage so quickly though

Good job distracting himself from concentrating on racing.
So not only McLaren shoots themselves on foot by making a cartoon instead of solving the car's growing problems, now Hamilton is planning something that currently seems to be useless!

1. Hamilton and Villeneuve come close to winning the WDC in their first season.
2. They both manage it in their second.
3. Their 3rd seasons are a disappointment.
4. They both make controversial comments, putting their necks on the line.
5. They both try terrible music careers.

I really can't wait for any of this music to be leaked. Like, HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT?

I was there on WTF1 when the first rumours began of his music-writing. Is he going to release the music when his racing career finishes? Is he going to have a career in music after F1? Is it only going to be released when he dies?

I hope at the end of this he's just rapping over other people's songs, like the classic Ja Rule Duets series:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dh5IgSrAUUo
If it's ANYTHING like the Ja Rule Duets, it'll definitely be worth the wait.
