Bertrand Gachot's words were gold stuff, saying his F3000 pole time at that circuit in 1987 was faster than the time he managed with the Coloni F1, and that the car was "much too heavy" and was confident they could qualify for Germany. Also, they misspelled Coloni for "Colini"

Did Coloni qualify for a single race in 1990? I know they didn't in 1991.

Only thing better would be if Ford brought a bright red F150 truck to be the safety car at Monza.

Wouldn't it be called a "safety truck" rather than a safety car?

A Funai SUPER AGURI, driven by Satoshi Motoyama (arguably one of the best driver Japan has ever produced)? Only bettered by Yuji Ide.
And Katsutomo Kaneishi's drive in that race was quite epic, too.

Really, really freak accident. Happened in my sight. Very traumatizing for a five-years-old (at that time). Let's just say, one thing I'll never forget that day (even if I want to - and I want to forget that) is the sight of his body lying on the track, period.

Kapow! Thousandth post on this thread! And for that, I give you: my tour of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit three years ago. This video contains terrible impressions of Murray Walker, and also me. Hence it may not be suitable for small children or those of a nervous disposition.
