In today's thrilling piece of thread necromancy: some urbexers have a look round the factory in Leafield, as once used by Arrows, Super Aguri and Caterham. Re: Reject of the Race - China

It's too easy to say Williams, so I'll say Kvyat. The penalty was harsh but he was at fault. With Albon having had a great race, Kvyat might find himself without a drive before long.

Albon. Very impressive race which belied the fact that it was only his 3rd race. If this carries on much longer, Kvyat will lose his drive by mid-season.

I was informed yesterday by my cardiologist that I have to have more surgery to attempt to control my heart condition. This time it's likely to be major open-heart surgery. I'm happy because the surgery has very high success rates but worried because it is quite risky.

When I last posted in this thread, my grandfather had just died. Since everyone else has mentioned Leclerc's turbo, Ferrari, Vettel and Renault, It would have been too easy to say Williams, so I'll say Racing Point. Perez squeaked a point in the race but they seemed to have gone back from last year.

As others have said, Leclerc, Norris and Albon were all very impressive. I'll go with McLaren, who were surprisingly good.

I'd like to nominate Kvyat. Great job coming from a year out of racing. Bottom of Q2 but did well in the race.

Williams doesn't have the charisma and appeal of Minardi.

The Toro Rosso has been revealed:

The livery is the same as last year and the car isn't very different, apart from the changes enforced by new regulations.

The 2019 car (and livery) launch thread

I noticed that this thread hadn't been started yet so I took the liberty of doing so.

Today Haas showed off their new livery. It's very black with some gold highlights and lettering, in a very Team Enstone circa 2011 way:

Or perhaps the Toyota F109 test car that Pirelli used.

This is Ferrari reverting back to the pre-Jean Todt practice of finding a scapegoat for a failure, sacking the scapegoat in a very public display of resolve and determination and making big statements about a major change wich will yield great results. I thought Ferrari was over this nonsense.

I still think that the privilege of being on the grid holding a driver's board should be a lottery among the spectators. Maybe an extra fee on top of the normal ticket price to be entered into the draw.

The ridiculous amount of immunosuppressants that he is bound to be on will make him very suspectible to infection.

A third of lung transplant recipients develop acute rejection during the first year. Hope it's not that.
