Re: 2010 Korean GP Discussion thread

They raced in Hungary in 1989 a couple of months before a revolution, though I don't think there was any conflict when the race was on. There may have been political upheaval in Brazil and Argentina around the time of F1 in the 1950's, 60's and 70's but I don't know anything specific.

Re: Ferrari's engine dilemma

I think Alonso learned from Kimi Raikkonen -- let the feuding teammates take each other out of the title hunt. But I also think he realizes that the #1 driver in Red Bull, namely, Vettel, is a bit too far back in points to make a run at the title unless he makes a mistake or the car lets him down. ...

Re: trivia question....

Without looking up the answer your talking about the 1983 Toleman (TF183???) in the hands of Derek Warwick and Ayrton Senna. The special feature could be the design of the airbox, or that high, bulky front wing the Toleman had in its early days (I'm thinking of the 1982 British GP when Warwick ran 2...

An article in The Guardian today which talks about the facilities in Korea. For one person to describe it as "A bit like a very run-down, seedy Blackpool" makes me think he hasn't been to Blackpool in about four decades.

Almost as brilliant as Valencia??? I thought his drive yesterday was better than the performance at Valencia, as he overtook more cars in a race than most drivers do in half a season and also invented a new overtaking place. In both races he was superb, but I think Suzuka was better. He really is a ...

Massa could also have simply let Sutil and Rosberg go through - if he really wanted to he would not have gone down the inside of Rosberg and crashed. I still largely blame him for the accident.

Try pronouncing Llanelli properly. You need, in the words of Edmund Blackadder "Half a pint of phlegm in your throat" to pronounce it correctly and even then "You'll be washing spit out of your hair for a fortnight".

No insult meant there, I actually quite like Wales.

Not for the first race or two, Heidfeld will need that time to adapt to the Sauber. He may out-qualify our beloved Kamui, but I doubt he'll beat him in race trim. Kamui in races has been excellent since Valencia.

Force India should go like stink at Monza, they have loads of grunt and a decent low downforce package. Sutil was 5th at Spa and hardly got a mention, which is a credit to him.
