Re: The Rejectful Eastern European Cars Computerised Series
Yeah, my Marlboro Agip Scuderia Politalia Polski-Fiat 126p was obviously doing quite fine, especially when Pau is notorious for sudden attacks on your car by the safety car. I want to seize the opporturnity to thank our sponsors Marlboro and Agip...or Eni...or whatever they call themselves, for the...

Re: The 'The 2011 IndyCar Series thread' thread
The 2012 IndyCar almost looks like a 2nd generation CanAm car, just with open-wheels. But while most CanAm cars were beautiful, the 2012 IndyCar looks just horrible. I just hope that we'll see some decent aerokits for 2013 by the likes of Penske or Lola (Unlikely, I know. But here's still wishing fo...

"Hockenheim is a place that I detest. There are three chicanes, two of which you have to take in second gear, but since the rest of it is comprised of straights you have to take all your downforce off, which results in a very nervous car. It's horrible to drive as you have no grip and the car ...

Old Hockenheim. Seriously why did it have to go? The lap wasn't stupid long like the old Nurburgring or old Spa!!! (And I agree about Imola too - they had to change it post-1994 tragedies but could have made Tamburello one slow corner and eliminated the Villeneuve kink by just making that section a...

Larousse would constantly bicker around the end of the pack, duking it out with Simtek, while easily beating Forti and Pacific. Then they would have probably been sold to DAMS in '96, because Larousse was notoriously cash-strapped during this time period.

The only coverage I get in Germany, are some weird recuts of Superleague races on Bloomberg every now and then. Although I have to admit that they have superb web coverage. But unfortunately the series is racing in front of literally nobody. And that's sad, because it would be good to have a open-wh...

I miss the era of different engine concepts. Either the choice between turbo or naturally aspirated engine in the 80's, or the choice between V8s, V10s, V12s or W12s in the era of 3,5l engines.

In my opinion, two-times DTM champion Timo Scheider should have had a chance in Formula One. He was managed by Willi Weber, and he was rumoured for a Benetton seat in 2000. Unfortunately he never got a seat with Benetton and his relationship with Weber went to nowhere.

As for Germany (And Johannes Seidlitz is a very good choice BTW), why not go with Nick Heidfeld's brother, Sven Heidfeld? He didn't compete in any on the said championships, so he must be eligible.

Heinz-Harald Frentzen - An alternate career
Prologue Heinz-Harald Frentzen was one of Germany's hopes in motorsport. Along with Michael Schumacher and Austrian Karl Wendlinger, he was a sportscar driver for Mercedes, and a very fast one.
