Re: Submitted article: Review of Psygnosis' "Formula 1"
The difficulty of the game in the higher levels is terribly hard. The only way to play the game and win is enabling a "Boost Mode" that lies in the Options section. I've won all the races of a championship season in Schumacher's Benetton on the hardest difficulty settings (albeit with aut...

Re: Submitted article: Review of Psygnosis' "Formula 1"
Great to see this game get some appreciation almost 20 years after its initial release! I do have a slight quibble, however, with this paragraph: The biggest problem and one that, to be fair, many racing games still suffer from is the lack of adequate balancing. One can absolutely destroy the compet...

Re: The most rejectful F1 moment ever in your opinion
Incidentally has there been a podium when the drivers couldn't open the champagne bottle? I recall seeing a photo some years ago of the podium finishers at IIRC one race around 1988 / 1989 where the top 3 (I think Prost & Nannini were amongst them) appeared to be struggling to open the champs. ...

Re: Exclusive Interview with Philippe Alliot!
I think it's a very optimistic interpretation of what could have happened. He was running in seventh place when he retired on lap 47 with a gearbox failure, and would have finished fourth had he retained his track position to the end. He would have had to pass Boutsen, who was 25 seconds short of la...

No time for lengthy research, but I can help for a couple of these: 03 is 1980, Hockenheim 04 is 1980 at the Österreichring 05 is 1979, possibly Kyalami 06 is Long Beach 1981 For 01, 02 I am not sure about the year. Yes, from reading between the lines I had assumed that Rotek had purchased one of Gilham's entries, hence why the "no new teams" information is still technically accurate. This also explains why Simon Belcher has an entry, as his team is linked-up with an existing entrant.

I think the photo of Senna is from the 1990 Hungarian Grand Prix.
