Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Qatar 2023
Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Qatar 2023
1. Alfa Romeo. A rare double points finish, exactly what Hinwil needed.
2. Oscar Piastri. He's the real deal alright.

Alfa Romeo. Scoring points with both drivers is unusual for them nowadays

1) Alfa Romeo: Double points after slipping back during the season.
2) Oscar Piastri: The result today might have been only exceptional because it's taken so long for him to display the talent that took him to successive single-year victories in Formula 3 and Formula 2, but the sprint race victory was something special.

Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Qatar 2023
Oscar Piastri: His first sprint win, in a season where anyone other than Verstappen winning is a surprise. Who would have thought he'd take his first "win" before Norris? Also a very good race on Sunday.
Honorable mention to Alfa Romeo for rare double points and overtaking Haas in the WCC.

1 Alfa Romeo. Double points was unexpected!!! Good driving from both drivers
2 Oscar Piastri. Winning the Sprint then second in the race. Shame about the race Qualifying

Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Qatar 2023
Just one for me today: Oscar Piastri. His race was a culmination of a great weekend. I don't think he was quicker than Norris, but he was more consistent and less error prone. I think McLaren were right to hold position, because they don't want to destroy a 2-3 finish thanks to a silly team scrap (see Mercedes at T1).
Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Qatar 2023
I'm going Alfa Romeo for a priceless double points finish. HMs to McLaren/Piastri (though I now think podiums are the norm for them so think they need to beat Max to get the award) and Russell and his car's strength for a great comeback drive having been savaged by his teammate.
