1. Guanyu Zhou. Firmly had the measure of Bottas all weekend, and to my eyes seems to be the Alfa driver with the more secure future in F1.

2. Carlos Sainz Jr. Purely by default, this was the first weekend in a while where he was the best Ferrari driver.

Tsunoda: Continues to get points out of a car that I'm fairly sure is terrible.

Zhou: What Londoner said.

1- Guanyu Zhou either Bottas is becoming really really bad or he is becoming really really good. Probably somewhere in between.

2- Yuki Tsunoda. Putting the Alpah Tauri where it doesn't deserve to be and at least making red bull even think (though I doubt they will do anything) about 2024.

Hm Carlos Sainz- Gave it ago compared to his highly regarded teammate

Mercedes: comfortably second quickest car in race trim. Made Ferrari look bad

Zhou: well ahead of Bottas all weekend

Zhou & Tsunoda for reasons already stated.

Honorable Mention - Stroll just for the virtue of finishing ahead of Alonso. Though, Alonso basically let him stay ahead hence why its an only honorable mention.

Unfortunately, Tsunoda was given a time penalty that dropped him out of the points in the end - it was an effort that should have resulted in points, but it just didn't work out that way.

Still, I would agree with nominating Zhou and Tsunoda, and maybe also Ocon too for managing to quietly plug away and get some points there.

Zhou was the only one who finished much higher than you would expect, once Tsunoda's penalty kicked in.

Yes Mercedes improved but still nearly half a minute off Max so not where they need to be still.

Zhou Guanyu was really the only driver that punched above what has been his weight throughout the season. A staggeringly better performance than Bottas.

Zhou Guanyu: Very impressive result after a few weak races for Alfa Romeo. This while Bottas was nowhere – the two are now tied on points!

1. Circuit de Catalunya: Who'd'a'thunk going back to the '06 and prior layout would be better. To my Spanish friends, please write your local MP to have the person who invented that chicane be hanged by dawn.

2. Zhou and Tsunoda: They share the top spot for great racing and really embarrassing their teammates today.

Nothing stood out.

The race was better than I expected but that is more of an indictment of F1 as it currently is.

1. Zhou - Great racing and shows why he is in F1

2. Mercedes - They were not very good on Friday but it just seemed to click

Another one for Zhou and Tsunoda. The latter in particular has been one of the unsung heroes so far this year
