Driver Profile: Ricardo Zunino

Post by Londoner »

Morning everyone :deletraz:

Imagine visiting an F1 paddock on a whim and suddenly being handpicked to replace a double world champion with immediate effect. Your team mate is a hot prospect who would go onto win three world championships in the follow decade. Hell, your boss is none other than that tough as nails bastard Bernard Charles Ecclestone. Surely you're primed for lift off?

As you might have guessed, Ricardo Zunino was very much a man in the right place when Niki Lauda walked away from Brabham towards the end of 1979. Try as he might, young Ricardo was unable to trouble the points during two frustrating stints with Brabham and Tyrrell. Our profile maestro Rob Dylan has worked his magic to tell thr plucky Argentine's story, which you can read right here today!
