2020-21 F5000 Season (Quickish Sim)

Since I am a glutton for punishment and I can't get enough of "gp4.exe has stopped working", everyone's favourite madhouse carney circus is back for another summer of good ol' fashioned fun

Teams

There will be a maximum of 22 cars at any given race weekend. Entries will be made up of a to-be-determined number of teams.

Users can enter privateer teams consisting of one or two cars, provided that they find funding for them in the sponsorship phase. Teams will have the choice of 4 engine suppliers; Ford, Holden, Nissan and Toyota. Series management reserves the right to alter or deny team applications as needed. (tl;dr don't try to enter a European or North/South American team as I'll probably tell you to go away.)

An example entry form for a team is provided below:

Team Name: Colin Pryce Racing
Team Base: Gold Coast, Australia
Number of cars: 1
Car numbers: #23
Engine Supplier: Toyota

Sponsorship

Inspired by the system used by Indy Lights (Read: Completely ripped-off from), sponsors will be featured in F5K this season.

Sponsors are not guaranteed; there is an RNG for each and every one, and there's a chance you could end up short on budget for the year and have to miss a few races. Sponsors are on a per car, not a per-team basis, and sponsors have different levels of funding and requirements to be met. There are also pay-drivers who can cover a certain number of races in the season on their own.

Sponsors will fund you for the stated number of races (some will change their investment if you meet or fail certain conditions), and to run all rounds of the season, you have to make sure you have enough sponsorship for all rounds for that car.

As for pay-drivers, some can pay for the entire season in one go, some only have enough money for part of the season. You can keep them for the rest of the season they don't have money to pay for if you secure a sponsor for the other races. Or you can opt to sign someone else, perhaps because the other sponsor you were able to get demands as much!

Below is the list of sponsors available to sign, and any requirements that need to be met to keep them onboard. Pay-drivers are also listed on the second sheet, and more pay-drivers will be added over the course of the signup process.

Sponsor & Pay Driver Lists

Schedule

The provisional calendar can be found here. Dates will be confirmed once other championships confirm their 2020 and 2021 calendars

Now that I finally have my weekends back (for now), the F5K quicksim is now back on. For existing team owners, you may now place bids on sponsors using the following form:

Team Name:
Car 1
Sponsor 1:
Sponsor 2:
...
Sponsor x:

Car 2
Sponsor 1:
Sponsor 2:
...
Sponsor x:

Provisional deadline for sponsor bids is 11:59pm GMT Saturday, January 14th

New Team Owners are still welcome to apply for whatever spots are available. If there are fewer than 20 full-time cars by the close of the sponsor market, Team BRM's application for additional cars will be accepted
