Formula 2 says farewell to the Lola B17/50 chassis powered by the Judd VI engine. Ever since 2018, this has been the car that has been run by the main feeder series to Formula 1, producing some fantastic and close racing all throughout the pack. The new car will be produced by Dallara and will be called the T21. In its back, a Judd engine producing 480HP will be placed, being dubbed the Judd VII. The new engine block will adapt F1's hydrogen power.

The testing of the car has been carried on since late 2019, when the FIA firmly announced a delay in the switch to a new platform for its main feeder series of a season. Testing has been carried by former F2 driver Jack Aitken and Jason Hamilton at Donington Park and its reported that the new car is much more akeen to modern day F1 cars than its previous generation it was based off.

The FIA F2 World Championship is scheduled to continue in two weeks at Donington Park, where a reveal of the Dallara T21 will happen to the public.

First, let's confirm some entries! I need the following people to confirm if they are carrying on for 2021. Since my main plan is to drop to 11-12 teams, in case two people don't respond, I won't be giving out their spots to the waiting list.

Race Weekend Structure:
Race weekend consists of three sessions: a 45 minute free practice session, a 30 minute qualifying session and a 150km race.

Driver and Teams:
We will be having 11 teams on the grid, with 22 cars being supplied to the teams. Every team runs the same chassis - Lola B17/50 - and the same engine - Judd VI.
Teams must have 3 drivers hired: 2 full-time ones (who can be replaced) and a third driver ready to be drafted in case a injury happens to a driver across the race weekend.
Teams can run a maximum of four different drivers during the season.
Drivers can be real life or canon driver. Real life drivers will be subject to RNG, and canon drivers to DEC aproval. In case the DEC owner cannot be reached or is not active in the forum anymore, driver will be subjected to a similar RNG as real life drivers.
A driver in Formula 2 can't be older than 30 years old, and can't have more than 5 ARWS, F1 or IndyCar entries.

Thesis delivered so its time to get this show on the road. As we need to catch up to 2022, the 2021 F2 season will be run using Aislabie's Simulation Excel. For 2022, we will go back to a normal, 3D game!

For now, we need to handle drivers. Let's remind everyone of the driver rules for the 2021 F2 season:

Driver and Teams:
