Privet tovarishchi! Welcome to the year 1987!
Comrades!
Certainly we have all heard rumours about how those filthy capitalists in the West are starting “World” championship for touring cars.
However, all we can say about their plan is - “bull shite”!
As we all know very well, the most Glorious touring cars in the World have always been produced on the Supreme side of the Iron Curtain.
Lada!
Škoda!
Trabant!
Polski Fiat!
Dacia!
Wartburg!
Moskvich!
Yet - despite all these famous names - the Westerners with their supposed “World” championship have not allowed a single, glorious Eastern car take part!
Comrades, we’re not having this! Now it is up to us, and us alone, to fix this vexatious situation and create the Superior Championship ourselves!
So, hurry up, dust off your racing tracksuit and take your most well-tuned car to the race track nearest you. It is almost time for the …
rFactor Reject Championship Season 1: Race Your Own East Car Edition
---
So, briefly, what the championship is all about:
This is a simracing championship consisting of 8 events that take place around the 80’s Eastern Europe, consisting of a feature race and a sprint race each. So yes, we’re all indeed playing the game ourselves against each other in real time, just like them real racing drivers do right now. For our series we are using the computer simulation rFactor, and we do also have our own dedicated server to host the races on.
We’re all using the East Cars mod for the game. The cars are relatively easy to drive and extremely fun to race, as proven by our extensive test sessions.
The major aim of this championship is to provide enjoyable racing for *everyone*, regardless of their equipment or skill levels.

FAQ
What if I don’t have rFactor and don’t want to pay for it either?
Just follow the easy steps below, and then you will have rFactor free of charge.
What if I don’t have the hardware to run rFactor?
Unless you literally don’t have a PC, this is unlikely. The game is 13 years old, so it is very unlikely any PC you’re currently using would not run rFactor at least on the lowest graphics settings - laptop or not.
What if I don’t have a racing wheel?
Doesn’t matter, the cars are fairly easy to drive and the driving assists we permit make it possible to be relatively competitive, even when using a simple gamepad or your keyboard.
What if I am not very good at driving?
Great! Then your skill level matches our championship perfectly well!
What if I am super good at driving and win every event by a mile?
Then you can (and may even be expected to) balance your pace by un-tuning your car to match the speed of the pack. All we want is close racing, this is not an exercise to show off anybody’s skills.
What if I cannot take part in many races?
Doesn’t matter - if you can take part in even one race, then that would be mega.

Rules
Available Driver Aids: Traction Control, Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS), Stability Control, Auto-Shifting, Clutch Assistance
Upgraded to level 4 spec, all the cars are seemingly relatively equal, albeit with their own distinct strengths and weaknesses each. Additionally, the mod also permits you to race the Skoda F3 car, and equip the Polski Fiat with a “level 6” Suzuki Hayabusa engine. Because those specs are vastly quicker than the rest, they are banned from the series.
Race events: Practicing for an event is possible offline or on the server at any time before the race event starts. The official event starts with Qualifying at xx:00 GMT, lasts for 15 minutes and is in the one shot format. The feature race starts at xx:20 GMT, and lasts for estimated 20 minutes. The sprint race will have a reverse grid and it will be around 10 minutes long. The whole event should not take much longer than an hour of your time.
Racing Standards: The cars are easy to drive so you shouldn’t need too much practise prior to an event, but please have at least a few acclimatization laps on every circuit and make sure that everything works without too much lag before turning up in the middle of an event. We will have lots of tolerance for hard wheel to wheel racing and genuine errors, but no tolerance for intentionally malicious behaviour on the race track at all. In other words: Making errors and causing crashes by them is allowed, wrecking someone else’s race because you mad at them isn’t.
The GPR user giraurd will act as the supreme Racing Steward of the Championship, so if you will have any complaints, please direct them to his mailbox post-race.
