What's your engine supplier, Bandon? Judging by your first three driver options it's Honda.

Anyway, driver RNG will take place in the afternoon and we'll continue from there on.

really happy with getting nobuharu-san. his second half of last season was really impressive, and we hope that with his talent and ARTA's knowhow, we're gonna have a successful return to nippon open-wheel racing!

on the other hand, wow, the field is gonna be insanely competitive this year, with lots of big names! it's as if we returned to the glory years of the 90s!

alright, that's cool, but only having 9 races on the schedule...there are some tracks which, with a little renovations and expansions, could host formula NIPPON or super GT rounds in the future:

- sendai hi-land
- tsukuba circuit
- inagawa circuit
- central circuit hyogo
- a rebuild of mine circuit
- a grand prix of Tokyo, using the R246 map from gran Turismo
- A 500 mile race at the motegi oval, know as the "Nippon 500". sure, it's probably unrealistic, but it'd be cool, nontheless

Sendai is already closed as is Mine, Tsukuba is quite short but maybe capable of a NC race or something.

A Motegi oval race is... interesting to say the least.

I will most likely increase the race number to 10 for 2021 with Suzuka-East taking that spot

Re: 2020 Yaname Electronics Super Formula - CAR SETUP

Car Setup
Here comes the fun part - time to assign points to your car!

There are no upgrades, so be careful - what you make before the season starts is what you get for the whole season.

Since S.H.I.T., Real Racing and Le Beausset dropped out after 2019, the following teams will get an extra 0.5 CP: Kamaha, Kondo, Nakajima, B-MAX.

Here's the recap of the Car Points rules.

The six attributes you can change are as follows:
Mechanical Grip - base speed of the car - 2 CP
Wet Weather - wet weather pace - 1.5 CP
Qualifying - qualifying pace - 1.5 CP
Reliability - base reliability of the car - 1 CP
Ease on Tyres - slightly increases tyre durability - 1 CP
Ease of Setup - increases setup quality of the car - 1 CP

All attributes are integers from 1 (worst) to 10 (best).

BASE STATS - Drago Corse & ARTA:

Code: Select all

Mechanical Grip - 6
Wet Weather - 6
Qualifying - 6
Reliability - 6
Ease on Tyres - 6
Ease of Setup - 7

BASE STATS - any other team:

Code: Select all

Mechanical Grip - 6
Wet Weather - 6
Qualifying - 6
Reliability - 6
Ease on Tyres - 6
Ease of Setup - 5

The teams will start with the following values:
Mugen - 14 CP
TOM'S - 13 CP
Impul - 12 CP
Cerumo - 11 CP
Dandelion - 11 CP
KCMG - 11 CP
LeMans - 9 CP
Kahama - 8.5 CP
Kondo - 8.5 CP
Nakajima - 7.5 CP
B-MAX - 7.5 CP
ARTA - 7 CP
Drago - 7 CP

You are allowed to decrease car attributes, for example if you decrease Reliability from 6 to 4, you get 2 more CP to assign elsewhere.
Every player is required to assign all of their CP (however if you end up with 0.5 CP, you will start next season with an extra 0.5 CP).

Cerumo
Mechanical Grip - 6 + 2
Wet Weather - 6 + 1

Reliability - 6 + 1
Ease on Tyres - 6 + 1
Ease of Setup - 5 + 2

TOM'S

Mechanical Grip - 8 (2 * 2 = 4 CP)
Wet Weather - 7 (1.5 CP)
Qualifying - 8 (2 * 1.5 = 3 CP)
Reliability - 7 (1 CP)
Ease on Tyres - 7 (1 CP)
Ease of Setup - 7 (2 * 1 = 2 CP)

= 12.5 CP

Yup! Which means:

ARTA
mechanical grip 7
Wet weather 6
Qualifying 8
Reliability 8
Ease of tyre 6
Ease of setup 7

remaining CP: 0.5 if my calculations are correct. Pretty decent setup, if i do say so myself

2020 Super Formula Championship: ROUND 1 - Fuji Speedway
Possibly the last thing Ryo Michigami expected from his Drago Corse team was to win a Super Formula race. They were unsuccessful to even get a podium before making a hiatus after the 2016 season.

And yet... Sena Sakaguchi pulled off an upset. Qualifying in third place (which was already a big surprise), Sakaguchi stayed there until the pitstop phase when a slightly faster pitstop combined with a 1-lap overcut propelled the young Honda junior ahead of both Naoki Yamamoto and polesitter Valtteri Bottas. Yamamoto tried his best, eventually overtaking Bottas for second place and then charging towards Sakaguchi, but to no avail.

Qualifying Weather: Dry - Sunny
3-stage qualifying system. 24 cars take part in Q1, 18 cars in Q2, 10 cars in Q3. At the end of Q3, the three fastest earn 3, 2 and 1 championship point respectively.
