Many of you know and love WaffleCat's In-Betweener Championship, in which Patrick Tambay became World Drivers Champion using 100% genuine Formula One results. It is phenomenal.
Most of you are also aware of Formula E's knack to buck the trend in every way, right down to their season running right across the Northern Hemisphere winter. Well, in the same fashion as before, Formula E champions will now be crowned at the end of the calendar year because it pleases me.
In the case of two different seasons in the same year having slightly different points systems (pole and flap), we will be sticking with the system that was in place at the start of the season.
Formula E Calendar Year Championship
2014 Formula E Season
Drivers Championship
Race Winners
A somewhat disjointed mini-season ended with a clear winner: as the only man to have been on all three podiums, Lucas di Grassi had been the obvious class of the field - but he was nearly robbed by a curious points system that saw drivers dropping the scores from the worst of the three rounds.. The unfortunate anti-di Grassi was Michela Cerruti, who was the only driver to compete in all three races and still fail to score. However, she was only one point behind the unfortunate Nick Heidfeld, who was so infamously robbed of what would have been his only win in the 21st century by a homicidal Nico Prost. I feel for Heidfeld, and hope he gets a factory LMP1 gig somewhere.

If you have the time and inclination, doing the same for A1GP would interest me. See if it gives Team GB a title...

Sure! A quick flick through Wikipedia makes me think the following, but I've done no maths:
2005: France
2006: France
2007: Germany
2008: Switzerland
2009: Switzerland

Without looking anything up, those sound plausible from memory. Brazil's best results would be 2005 with Player Jnr.

2015 Formula E Season
Drivers Championship
Race Winners
This season looked all the way as if it was Nelsinho Piquet's to lose, and he was in possession of a huge points lead by the mid-season break after London. But lose he did, bagging only four points at the final three races of the year. As a result, he was overtaken by both Sebastien Buemi (who won four races) and reigning Champion Lucas di Grassi. The multitude of driver changes resulted in no fewer than 24 points scorers over the course of the year.

Re: Formula E Calendar Year Championship
Just wondering if there’s a reason why di Grassi is Italian in the main standings?
Other than that good work Aislabie! Will keep an eye on this one

Because I was copying and pasting the image code for an Italian flag and just changing the three-letter abbreviation in the image code. Evidently I missed one
