Grand Prix Rejects

Welcome to the third season of the FIA Formula 2 championship. Here's the entire rule book:

Race Weekend Structure:
Race weekend are made out of two 100km races, preceded by 30 minute qualifying sessions.
The final race of the year will feature a 185km race only.

Driver and Teams:
We will be having 13 teams on the grid next year, with 26 cars making the race.
Teams can have 2 drivers, and a reserve driver (in case injury happens through a weekend).
Drivers can be real life or canon driver. Real life drivers will be subject to RNG, and canon drivers to DEC aproval.
A driver in Formula 2 can't be older than 32 years old, and can't have more than 15 ARWS, F1 or IndyCar entries.
Each team will nominate a home race, where their drivers will get a performance bonus.

Points Scheme:
1st - 15 Points
2nd - 12 Points
3rd - 10 Points
4th - 8 Points
5th - 6 Points
6th - 5 Points
7th - 4 Points
8th - 3 Points
9th - 2 Points
10th - 1 Point
Pole Position - 2 Points

Stewarding:
Drivers will be subjected to penalty points in case they have misconduct throughout a race weekend.
In case a driver gets 10 penalty points in their license, they loose 5 championship points. Incurring 20 penalty points equals a race weekend ban, and incurring 30 penalty points means a 1 year ban.
Penalty points means also a race grid penalty for next race.

Ibe Defects to F2, Vows to become F1 World Champion

One of the hottest prospects in open wheel racing has announced he will be changing career course for the 2020 campaign and beyond.

After breaking onto the scene through standout displays in the short lived AutoReject Nippon and 2.0 North America series, including being the only AR 2.0 North America Champion, Roger Ibe continued to show he talent by being one of the top talents in AutoReject 3.5 the last two seasons. He racked up eight wins and fifteen podiums in two seasons and finished third in the 2019 championship after leading the way early in the season before a string of bad luck allowed Anu Võsu and João Eduardo de Lima Conceição to overhaul him late in the season.

He has been linked to numerous rides in the AutoReject World Series, in part due to the Scholarship money he would bring to a team through his AR 3.5 success, but also because he's one of few top-teir prospects that isn't affiliated with a established driver development program. Teams that were alleged to have shown interest in the Filipino-Canadian driver included Eric Vincent Racing, Scuderia Adriatica, and GA Squadron Racing, but he has since announced on a video his Social Media page that he will be moving to the FIA Formula 2 World Championship for the 2020 season.

"Man, uhh this is very tough, but this season I'm going to take my talents to F2 and go after a Formula 1 World Driver's Championship. That was the conclusion I came to in the last little while."

He will be vying to become the second Filipino driver to race in Formula 1 after Arsenio Laurel raced as a privateer in the mid 1950s.

"I feel like this is going to give me the best opportunity to win, and to win for multiple years. And not just to win races, or to win multiple races in a row, but I want to win championships at the highest level of racing. I can't say it was always in my plans, I can't say it was always in my plans because I never thought it was possible, but the things Achille Lunardi and the rest of Formula 1's management has done to put the future of automobiles on the forefront while continuing to focus on putting as good of a product on track as possible, you know it was hard to turn down."

It has not been announced which team he will be joining, but it is expected that most teams will be vying for early championship favorite Ibe to drive for them in 2020.
