2020 Alternate ELMS season - Drivers & stuff

Oh look, another endurance series!

I'll go into the rules of engagement a bit later on (driver limits, categories, so on and so forth), but at the moment, I'm just tendering entries for teams. You may apply for one team each for now, and then you'll have the chance to take on more later on.

"Open" teams can be filled with existing ELMS teams, realistic real-life teams, or fictional teams with some kind of sportscar pedigree, it's your call. Whomsoever chooses DragonSpeed will also be responsible for the sister G-Drive car, as in reality (and I might have to be a trifle picky with who runs them, considering they're a big team...)

Any entries with drivers named in them will not be taken. If you're submitting an entry for an open GTE spot, please select a free number between #50 and #99.

LMP2
#21 DragonSpeed / #22 G-Drive (kevinbotz)
#23 Panis-Barthez Competition (pinkd56)

#27 SMP Racing (pi314159)
#28 Mont Blanc Racing (V8fan12)
#29 Racing Team Nederland (Reject_Dom)
#30 Graff (me)
#31 AVF(vacant)
#32 United Autosports (TomDilain)
#33 BORC (This Could Be You)
#34 High Class Racing (Normal32)

LMP3
#2 / #3 United Autosports (Bandon23)
#4 Cool Racing by GPC (Klon)
#5 Eurointernatinal (Normal32)
#6 Murphy Prototypes (Simtek)
#7 Lukoil Team Lugano Racing (Salamander)
#8 BORC (TCBY)
#9 AT Racing (Ataxia)
#10 Oregon Team (Pasta)
#11 Tsujimura Scuderia (novitopoli)

#15 VA Racing (TomDilain)

LMGTE
#51 / #55 Spirit of Race (CarloSpace)
#56 Tom Douglas Racing (Wizzie)
#66 JMW Motorsport (vacant)
#67 Ford Team Europe (Dom)
#70 Trueba Racing Team (Biscione)

Would it be possible to enter Proton Porsche in LMGTE? If so, i'll opt for the usual number 77. Failing that however, I'll enter Meditterenan Motorsport with the number 17 in LMP3.

I'd like to run SMP Racing in LMP2. If any vacant positions remain in LMP3 or GT at the end of the signup period, I'd like another entry for Belsø Bilsport.

As things stand, everyone's been provided with at least one of the teams requested. The following vacancies still remain:

LMP2:
Graff
United Autosports

LMP3:
literally all of the vacant slots

GTE:
JMW Motorsport
Aston Martin Racing
three vacant slots

- People with interest in running a second team may apply for an LMP3/GTE slot.

- Tom Douglas Racing must select a number between #50 and #99.

- Here's the 99%-complete spreadsheet. You may begin to select cars, but not drivers at this stage. The spreadsheet includes all FIA Categorisations of canon drivers - if there's an omission or an appeal to change a driver's category, please notify me.

Some GTE teams have already been assigned cars due to works deals. Balance of Performance applies.

In hindsight I would like to make the following adjustments;

The #24 Trueba Racing Team LMP2 entry will now become the #24 Voeckler LME. The team will run with an ORECA 09 chassis.

Trueba Racing Team will apply to take an LMGTE slot, running as #70 with a Ferrari 488 GTE.

BORC will continue our use of Dallara chassis as in ARNippon and purchase a P220 chassis.

Also, (if possible), BORC would be interested in also taking the #8 LMP3 slot too, akin to United Autosports' setup. If that seems unrealistic I understand (we're a far less established team than United, albeit one with a lot of money), I'll either enter some RL team in #8 or stick with LMP2.

Would like to avoid dual-LMP3 entries for now, however I'll keep them in mind if we have spaces to fill.

Just a reminder that Graff and United Autosports' LMP2 operations are free.

There's also three vacant LMP3 teams, and both AMR and JMW are available in the GTE category.

Furthermore, I've been working on a few profile shots for cars - if you're running a fictional team, let me know your colour scheme and sponsors so I can get to work on it. Thanks!

Here's an example...

You got it. You'll have the chance to run as plain ol' Aston Martin Racing if you take any old bronze, or Beechdeen AMR if you take Andrew Howard for that role.

Now that the 2018 FIA driver classifications are out, driver signing will commence when all the slots are taken. I will explain the process for this later.
