Rescale Formula H World Championship - The series is dead

Post by GTAlpha »

Uhh... Hi?

So, this is my first championship here. It is non canon (so I save myself from a lot of trouble), and I hope to make a decent job at it.

The story about this championship is that is the first-ever open wheel racing series based on hydrogen engines. The concept was based on Formula E, but changed from electric to hydrogen in order to make a series that was fast as F1 and eco-friendly as FE at the same time.

With that out of the way, here's the infos

- 13 teams and 26 drivers (both real and fictional drivers are allowed)
- 20 races
- Points are given to the first twelve (20, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1). No bonus points are given at any time
- There are four championships: Drivers, Constructors, Engines and Nations
- 8 engine manufacturers: Chevrolet, Renault, Ferrari, Peugeot, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Citroen
- To sign up, you simply need to write your team, your engine choice and your drivers (Nationality, DOB if you want, Real or Fake, etc).
- Also, if two or more teams chose the same real driver, an RNG is run.
- For liveries: No offensive sponsorships and/or liveries and no tobacco sponsorships. (I know you have your own image hosting service so I could get away with tobacco liveries, but...)

Understood everything? I hope so...

This sounds rather interesting, if it takes off, so here's my entry:

Team Name: Team Aguri (might as well keep it FE-based...)
"Engine" Choice: Honda
Driver 1: Kamui Kobayashi (Real-life, JPN)
Driver 2: Alex Lynn (Real-life, GBR)
Is this entry OK?

It is a rebranded engine? 'Cuz if it is, then you have to specify which one of the 8 engines is, otherwise I can't accept your sign-up

I was talking to watka after the Australian Grand Prix, and I was suggesting that FH should be "a thing". He seemed more cynical of the idea however, because of the Hindenberg disaster of 1937.

Image

And if I were to have started a series of my own on here, this would have been my idea.

TEAM: MasterCard Lola
ENGINE: Chevrolet, rebadged as a DeLorean (clearly and obviously fictional, but meant to be a rebirth of the Irish 1980s manufacturer, and based in Belfast), to reflect John DeLorean's professional links with GM

DRIVER 1: Douglas Mann
DRIVER 2: Pippa Mann

These are the same as my canon drivers, but as this is non-canon, this obviously won't add to their canon storyline and it won't matter if there are any clashes or injuries. Fictional versions of fictional drivers, if you like. Meta-fiction.

Sorry, missed that one line in your first post! Edited, to reflect John DeLorean's previous role with General Motors.

After much fiddling, I have managed to fix the Formula H template so that the shadow layer on the main psd is no longer completely opaque, meaning the background colour and sponsors can be added:

The revised, working file is here if you are having issues.

I just want to check a couple more things (I'm working on the Aguri livery now); firstly, which rFactor F1 2010 mod are you using (I worked out that the car was a Red Bull RB6, but can't seem to find a matching skin in any 2010 mod I know of) as I would like to test how my design looks before submitting, and secondly, how are race numbers allocated, as I would like to number my cars. Answers to these two queries would be extremely helpful

I know this will be controversial, but after I had realized I made a mistake with the original car template (Was too complicated), I made a choice of changing with the GP2 template.

However this won't change a thing, only different chassis, but the teams will remain the same.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.

The download of the car will be on the first post.

Again, I'm sorry

I posted this on the livery request thread but didn't get any bites, so might have some more luck here:

Given my total lack of time and design skills, if anyone would be willing to do a Ferrari-esque livery for my Scuderia Idrogeno team for GTAlpha's Formula H series, it would be greatly appreciated...

Given that it's not technically a Ferrari team (although is heavily affiliated) happy for whoever takes this on to get pretty creative and not be held to tradition.

So.

I was working on Stig's Idrogeno car, but when I put it into the game, I realized I've could have made a much better job at it.

Since it'll take much more time, I ask if This Could Be You or other painters who don't have any problems to send me liveries that are done, to at least keep the thread alive

It's not exactly what you wanted, but I gave it a try.

(In case you're wondering, the Rescale cloud is because Rescale is the title sponsor of the championship)

It's completely untested (my rFactor's broken), and likely a bit rough, but here's the Aguri livery. I will start on the other liveries, so expect the Renault and the Idrogeno cars soon.
