All noted.

Apologies for the slow progress this season, I'm trying my best to start the series again.
Miguel98 and Klon now have a week to submit their entry if they wish to. If they do not reply before before June 20th, their spot will be given to the next guys on the waiting list.

As Klon decided to not take the remaining spot, Gonzalez gets a chance to enter a two cars team if he wishes to. Gonzalez has until June 28th to enter his team.

Xairim gamble pays off with maiden win

Macanese driver Adilmar Caetano Xairim stormed to SEAT Supercopa victory in Spain, opening the season with his first win in the category.

Xairim suffered a poor start and dropped a place to fourth at the start, but methodically picked his way past all the podium contenders to lead with seven laps to go.

Trueba team principal Giovanni Roda paid tribute to his driver, lauding his patience and forethought.

"Adilmar focused on the race set-up, and he did exactly what was needed," he said. "What impressed me a lot was the patience he demonstrated. He didn't let his bad start get to him. He regrouped and waited for the right moments to pass."

"It was an excellent drive, and a demonstration of the qualities he has. With that first win on the board, he knows now what he is capable of, and we can focus on repeating it again."

2019 SEAT Leon Supercopa - Round of Belgium results

Stewards report

"Sasha Hawke" (#25) has been given 4 penalty points for causing an avoidable collision with Shoi-Jun Seo (#26)
Constantin Florescu (#45) has been given 4 penalty points for causing an avoidable collision with Scott Marsden (#7)

Ahem, for some reason I ignore, I thought Sasha Hawke was driving this season, but she had been replaced by Mauricio Cueva...

Just thought I would finish this one day.

Electrical finish for the 2019 SEAT Leon Supercopa championship as four drivers started the race with a mathematical chance at winning the drivers championship. It looked like Sasha Hawke, Adilmar Caetano Xairim and Ernesto Padilla -starting respectively 7th, 4th and 9th- were the most serious candidates.
Sofia Bonaventura started the race in second place alongside Elisa Jama Yattae who scored her first Pole Position since 2016. Bonaventura had an outsider chance to clinch the title but needed her rivals to be far down the order. Track position was crucial on the narrow Hungaroring circuit, and there weren't many overtakes as expected.
On the 21st lap, Xairim was virtually champion as he was holding the fastest lap of the race and a 5 championship points advantage over Hawke. Bonaventura spent all the race very closely behind Jama Yattae and there was enough time to complete another lap. Then chaos happened as Bonaventura pushed (or rammed) Yattae's car in turn 3, causing damage to the back of her car. Yattae had to pit for quick repairs as her rear bumper and wing threaten to fall on the track. Robbed of what could have been her maiden win, she enraged on her radio.
The stewards quickly investigated the incident, as Bonaventura crossed the line in first place. Xairim got overtaken by Guillem Llobet on the last lap and crossed the line in 9th, still virtually champion for 2 points.
On the cooldown lap, the stewards issued a ten seconds penalty to Bonaventura, moving Sasha Hawke from 6th to 5th place. Xairim on the other hand, had crossed the line 10.011 seconds behind Bonaventura and did not move up in the standings. This gave the championship to Sasha Hawke for 2 points over Xairim. Different emotions everywhere in the paddock, Hawke's joy contrasting with Xairim's disappointment while an enraged Yattae stormed into Bonaventura's pit box. Both were quickly separated by several mechanics.
The scenes almost completely overshadowed Khungirat Molotov Khünbish's maiden victory. The mongolian looked surprised when his team told him that he had just won the race. Constantin Florescu and Judd McAllister completed the podium.

Thanks for coming back to finish this series!

If I may ask, will there be a 2020 season?

At the moment, I do not really know. There might be a veeeery slight possibility, but the series do not allow much user interaction. And at the moment, there are no series to feed from the Supercopa, which is not really good for its future.

GTSS for sure needs a path for rookies. And honestly, given how bloody starved we are for current series, you could easily gain the place as Alt-F1's main feeder. :pantano:

There are some Formula 4 drivers from the numerous canon series we can use for a few seasons if we need drivers, and even a few years ago Supercopa and GTSS were the only tintop series in this canon (Touring Cars/GT3 must be cursed around here)

Would any of the 2019 Supercopa drivers be interested in working as test drivers for the eGT and Tesla Trophy series cars? We're looking for four drivers to spend 2020-21 testing for the electric GT3 series (starting in 2021) and the Tesla Trophy electric prototype series (2022).

In exchange, they will get full-time rides in the 2020 IndyLights series, 2021 eGT series, and either eGT or Tesla Trophy in 2022.

They're not 2019 SuperCopa drivers but Tomasz Gabrysiak (POL) and Jonas Söderström (SWE) don't really have much going on in 2020 and have experience in touring cars and GT racing.
