Great job, thank you so much! I still can't manage to cope with the 8-bit palette (Paint.NET just doesn't do things right when it comes to 8-bit BMP images, I'll try out GIMP later :/ )

Other news:
- RZ Motorsport still needs a driver for car #26 (read: someone should offer Ataxia a driver :D )
- Mazzacane Motorsport still needs to name both drivers.
- I still need clarification about whether the Silver Line drivers are Academy or Stay-at-Home.
- There are two free slots. If those aren't filled within a reasonable timeframe, those teams who wish it will have the opportunity to expand to three- or four-car-operations.

Also, if you plan to use GIMP, novitopoli remember to run your files through Irfanview first before importing to GP2edit otherwise it screws them up (they end up shifted off the right of the screen, or won't load at all)

Re: 2019 South American F4 - last slot up to grabs!

Post by novitopoli »

So, a short update:
- Pasta should nominate a driver for the #77 car.
- There is still one driver slot up to grabs, on a first-come-first-serve basis. First 2-car team owner checking up here can take it.
If neither the former nor the latter happen before January 8th, 23.59 CET, the #77 entry will be voided and the series will start with 26 drivers.

As far as the livery go, only Mazzacane (white-blue livery with Argentinian sponsors) is left. Sadly I can't seem to get the 8-bit palette to work, so if could be nice if someone (TCBY :) ) could take care of it.

A bit of clarification on upgrades:

3-token upgrades: 50% chance to succeed. If they succeed, grip bonus up to +60. If they fail, grip malus down to -30.
2-token upgrades: 65% chance to succeed. If they succeed, grip bonus up to +40. If they fail, grip malus down to -20.
1-token upgrades: 80% chance to succeed. If they succeed, grip bonus up to +20. If they fail, grip malus down to -10.

Every driver has six tokens - a maximum of three of them can be spent between the first race and the first in-season test/between the first and the second in-season test/between the second in-season test and the last race.

Victoria Marcia Belmonte-F3 test
After her good showing at Bahia Blanca, with a fastest lap in Race 2, she got the opportunity of riding a F3 car for the first time.
1-50: Belmonte is more confident and can go a really big step forward
51-100: Belmonte fails badly to get control of a more powerful car and gets a small injury - this compromises her racing.
...51. It all goes well until her last lap, where she spins while trying to bring the car into the pitlane. A small back injury ensues, making her a bit less performant. (-28 grip)

Alejandro Gomez-Press day
Gomez has a long interview with a local journalist on his future - questions can get a little bit tricky.
1-65: A long interview teaches Gomez to cope with pressure
66-100: Gomez is let down by the journalist's tricky questions, can't answer well and developes some confidence issues....
...80. A couple of questions create a little setback in Gomez (-2 grip)

Verania Andres - Internet Forum
Maria del Carmen Alvarez - Internet Forum
Carla Wilkinson - Internet Forum
Gabriela Alessandra Castaneda - Internet Forum
Raquel Rodriguez - Internet Forum
All five girls join a famous Internet forum on the history of the long-forgotten heroes of Formula 1. For each of the drivers:
1-80: She appreciates meaningful and mature discussions which also improve her racing.
81-100: Her new role models are Rosset and Nissany - forgetting racing should be about being fast...
Andres - 46 - no problem for her! (+12 grip)
Alvarez - 61 - she's so hooked she even thinks about joining a "game" section of the forum (+18 grip)
Wilkinson - 74 - She signs up and lurks a bit, without posting too much (+6 grip)
Castaneda - 21 - Same as Wilkinson - interested but not that hooked (+5 grip)
Rodriguez - 3 - She loves the idea and jumps in sternly...she's so interested she finds herself staring at something called "canon calendar" (+11 grip)

So, time's up for upgrades!

Matias Valdes - Simulator Round
Diego Moggia - Simulator Round
Ricardo Miranda - Simulator Round
Julio Jimenez - Simulator Round
Carlos Ramon Jimenez - Simulator Round
Arsenio Godoy - Simulator Round

Some teams have elected to give their drivers the opportunity to refine some fine driving techniques and to learn more about the series' tracks on a powerful simulator.
1-65: The driver learns a couple of good tricks - better braking points, the perfect way to shift, and so on... His driving greatly profits from it.
66-100: He just takes it as a videogame, without gaining anything other than a scolding by the team principal.
Valdes...18: Everything runs smoothly. (+28 grip)
Moggia...39: A fine day, he gets more confident. (+13 grip)
Miranda...50: A couple of problems, but at the end it all goes well, and he gains quite a lot of performance (+36 grip)
J.Jimenez...96: He doesn't even bother to show up on time. (-7 grip)
C.R.Jimenez - 64: he shows up late too, but everything goes well afterwards. (+19 grip)
Godoy - 53: Fine job - he rocks on the simulator, the team is almost astonished (+38 grip)

Enzo Fittipaldi - Back to School
After a disappointing first weekend and the end of (Brazilian) summer holidays, school's set to begin again for Enzo.
1-80: Enzo can cope well with the pressure of being both a student and a racing driver - good grades act as a motivation on the track too.
81-100: Some beef with the teachers and bad grades - his mind is not really "there"...
30 - On his first day of school, teachers ask him how his first race weekend was. His honesty about admitting he DNQ'd twice is greatly appreciated. (+17 grip)

Jorge Agramonte - Team Building
Xavier Santillian - Team Building
Caio Collet - Team Building
Gianluca Petecof - Team Building
Ana Sofia Santana - Team Building

The driver will have the opportunity to spend a day at the team's home facility in order to make him/herself familiar with facilities, management, mechanics and especially teammates.
1-65: Everything runs smoothly - the driver really loves being there, and his/her racing improves as a result.
66-100: Being teammates isn't always easy - not getting along so well is fairly common...
Agramonte...4 - He's the home boy, he likes everyone and everyone likes him. (+22 grip)
Santillian...63 - He doesn't really love Agramonte getting most attentions, but the place ain't bad. (+7 grip)
Collet...17 - Same as for Agramonte - he's at home there. (+17 grip).
Petecof...24 - He and Collet already knew each other from karting, and they get along really well. (+31 grip)
Santana...17 - Surprisingly, she bonds well with the boys - after beating them fairly in the first race. (+7 grip)

Cecilia Ugarte - New Setup
Cecilia had some problems in her first weekend - maybe a new setup and a seat fitting can do?
1-80: It gets better - she can show a bit more of her potential from the next round on.
81-100: It's even worse than before! She really has some problems coping with her first single-seater.
70 - It took time, but at the end it went well. (+15 grip)

John Pearson - Internet Forum
Aria Hevel - Internet Forum

After having heard about it from their colleagues, Pearson and Hevel decide to join this famous internet forum on Formula One backmarkers.
1-80: They absolutely love it - and they want to show their new-found mates how good they are.
81-100: They get a bit too hooked up, to the point they almost forget to show up at the track!
Pearson..55 - the Falklander gets along well with most members and posts regularly (+16 grip)
Hevel…98 - She gets hooked up to the point she joins a game on 50's Formula One...only to fall into a Ponzi-like scheme bankrupting her team! (-4 grip)
