the newly upgraded Maxtreme BMWs made it through easily, but behind them it was very close, with the Dynamics cars just making through on aggregate due to BTC Racing and new entrants Boulevard being hamstrung with one much slower driver.

Mat Jackson put the Motorbase BMW on pole for the sixth time this year, with Shedden joining him on the front row. However, championship contender Tom Chilton had a very poor run, starting only fifteenth alongside the equally unimpressive Arena drivers. The Dynamics Hondas both failed to qualify.

Jackson had a decent start and led for the first couple of laps, before being passed by Plato, Reid and Shedden, who had a very poor start. Plato didn't exactly pull away from the CVR driver, but maintained enough of an advantage to win, also setting fastest lap. This was especially crucial for him as his main championship rival, Colin Turkington, didn't finish, closing the gap between them significantly. Matt Neal scored points in a race for the first time since Brands Hatch, even after a pitstop brought him way down the order.

Shedden put his car on pole for race 2, but main story was the stunning performance of the Maxtreme cars- Pinkney was on the front row with teammate Michelisz just behind. Chilton ran poorly again, but was surrounded this time by the two Vauxhalls. Andy Neate somehow qualified, leaving his teammate and Tempus' Marko Asmer out in the cold.

Race 2 was manic. Shedden initally took the lead, but held on to it for less than a lap after being spun round by Michelisz, which meant by lap two,
Dave Pinkney was leading (
), scoring his first points of the year for leading a lap before spinning and then retiring. Most of the field then proceeded to take eachother out, with both WSR cars spun round, and Chilton retiring. This led to a very strange result: Tom Coronel, from 8th on the grid, won with Plato a useful second, Michelisz recovering to third. James Nash scored for the first time since Thruxton, and even more remarkably, by staying out of trouble, Andy Neate finished in 7th, scoring Dynamics first points all year. Collard was drawn for reverse grid pole, but Nash actually got it. Turkington at least managed fastest lap, so it wasn't
all weird.

Nash led off the line, and stayed there for half the race and then proceeded to spin, dropping him to fifth, allowing Shedden (who had had a brilliant start) to take advantage and win although the RML driver recovered impressively to second after those in front bickered. Alain Menu, starting on the front row, completed the podium. Andy Neate scored again, while Plato extended his points haul from this weekend with fastest lap again.

Sorry for the delay (I've been busy due to homework). Feel free to upgrade cars/sack drivers before Knockhill. Remember, Knockhill can be skipped to gain a 5CR rebate for teams that can't make it to Scotland, so remember to tell me if your going to skip it. I'm also thinking of doing a mid-season team and driver review akin to the one after Media Day in the next few days, as well as updating the wiki (which has lagged behind).
