KL-racer's F1 Management - 2011 Round 9 up

KL-racer’s F1 Management 2011

Welcome everyone to the sixth season of my F1 Management series. It’s 2011 and after a tough set of debates, the FIA has agreed to slowly implement the 1.6L V6 Turbos to be used alongside the current 2.4L V8’S. However, to make things more equal, the 2.4 V8’S power output will drop because of the rev limiter being set to 16,000RPM not 18,000RPM like it was last season. However, one thing that didn’t change is that I will still be using Grand Prix 2 to run this series. Also, the Pre-Q rules didn’t change, meaning that the bottom 10 teams will be forced to Pre-Q. The pre-q list will be updated every 4 races, like before. Also, I agreed to cap the entry list at 20 teams. Meaning that there will be no new teams entering F1 for the time being, unless one or more of the current teams are facing money issues. So, here’s the entry list for 2011.

Points system: It will still be a 20-15-11-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system

The Race Calendar: Nothing major changed from last year, just in case you are new to this series, here's the order.

Melbourne
Sepang
Shanghai
Yeongham
Catalunya
Monaco
Montreal
Donnington Park
Hungaroring
Spa
Monza
Singapore
Suzuka
Interlagos
Bahrain
Abu Dhabi

Testing schedule:

There will be a pre-season test at the newly constructed Jaypee New Dehli Circuit in India, as part of a compensation deal from the FIA after failing to secure a race slot for this year. As for in-season tests, there will still be four of them. They will be conducted after the races at Yeongham, Donnington Park, Monza, and Interlagos.

Upgrade rules:

There will still be five areas of upgrades. Like before you can do one or two areas per in-season test. Likewise, you can double up on one area, with the same costs as doing two separate areas. However, the costs are slightly increased, they are now $600k for one area and $1m for two separate areas/double up on one area. These areas are as follows just in case you forget or are new to this series:

Reliability: Reduces the likelihood of car failures
Aero: Improves the handling consistency of the car.
Qual Pace: Improves the overall pace of the car during Pre-Q and Qual. runs
Race Pace: Improves the overall pace of the car during race conditions
KERS Power: Improves the power output of your KERS unit

Good luck to everyone!

Re: KL-racer's F1 Management - 2011 Bidding Infomation

Posted: 02 Aug 2016, 16:30
by KL-racer
With all of the vacant teams now filled up. I am going to post the bidding information now while I am waiting for Samster (USF1) to confirm their entry.

Engine Bids

With the V6 Turbos now being available. Here’s the starting bids for the engines. You can bid for up to 3 engines.

Ferrari Turbo $25 million Will supply Ferrari Only!
Ferrari V8 $22.5 million 3 teams max
Honda Turbo $20 million Honda and 1 other team
Mercedes Turbo $18 million Mercedes and 1 other team
Honda V8 $17.5 million 2 teams max
Mercedes V8 $17 million 2 teams max
BMW V8 $15 million 2 teams max
PURE Turbo $14 million 1 team only
Cosworth V8 $12.5 million 2 teams max
Renault Turbo $12 million 2 teams max
Renault V8 $10 million 2 teams max

Chassis Bids

With the easing in of the V6 Turbos, I have decided to add a second set of RNG parameters to be used if you happen to get a V6 turbo engine, but otherwise the costs will remain the same.

Cost/RNG Parameters if using a V6 Turbo engine/RNG Parameters if using a V8 engine

Tier 1: $30 million/4000-5500/4000-5000
Tier 2: $25 million/4000-7000/4000-6000
Tier 3: $20 million/4000-8500/4000-7000
Tier 4: $15 million/4000-10000/4000-8000
Tier 5: $10 million/4000-12000/4000-9000
Tier 6: $5 million/4000-14000/4000-10000

Drivers Available:

Remember, you can select drivers outside of this list but they are subject to a RNG to check if they are willing to join or not. Otherwise, you could bid up to three driver bids for each race seat. Due to the new two-engine formula, a reserve driver will be needed as well, for testing upgrades during the in-season tests and not to mention to cover for the possibility of injuries and/or if you want to demote one of your race drivers. And before I forget, all driver bids are for 1 year only, no multi-year deals are allowed!

Sebastian Vettel $10 million Wants #1 status
Felipe Massa $8.5 million
Lewis Hamilton $8 million Wants #1 status
Michael Schumacher $7 million Wants #1 status
Fernando Alonso $6 million Wants #1 status
Mark Webber $5 million
Robert Kubica $4.5 million final season before moving to WRC
Nico Rosberg $4 million
Jenson Button $3.5 million
Kimi Raikkonen $2 million
Andre Lotterer $1.5 million
Vitantonio Liuzzi $1.25 million final season before moving to SUPER GT
Nick Heidfeld $1 million final season before moving to WEC
Rubens Barrichello $1 million
Heikki Kovalainen $750k
Daniel Riccardo $700k
Nico Hulkenberg $650k
Kamui Kobayashi $600k
Paul Di Resta $550k
Bruno Senna $550k didn’t race at all in 2010, prefers a race seat
Romain Grosejan $500k
TImo Glock $500k
Pedro De La Rosa $500k
Davide Valsecchi $500k didn’t race at all in 2010, Prefers race seat
Jarno Trulli $500k Final season in F1, slight discount was given, Prefers race seat
Sergio Camanasas $475k
Fabio Leimer $450k
Johnny Cecotto Jr. $425k
Jules Bianchi $400k
James Jakes $375k
Jerome D’Ambrosio $350k
Max Chilton $325k

Antonio Felix Da Costa $150k
Daniel Juncadella $125k
Alexander Rossi $100k
Pastor Maldonado PD $10 million
Narain Karthikeyan PD $8 million Last season in F1, prefers a race seat
Sergio Perez PD $7.5 million
Karun Chandhok PD $7 million
Vitaly Petrov PD $6.5 million
Giedo Van der Garde PD $6 million
Adrian Sutil PD $5 million, prefers a race seat

Please note that there are only 50 total drivers on this list, and all 20 teams need 3 drivers, meaning that there will be 60 drivers total signed. So, I highly suggest to you throwing at least one name that is not on this list preferably as a reserve/test driver to reduce the chance of me doing a second round of driver bids!

Finally, to make things as fair as possible, all bids must be sent via PM! Good Luck!
