Matchday Report

Jurong Suning F.C. vs Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport

You want a dramatic derby, with tension and bad blood waiting to spill over the edge? Look no further than Jurong East. The second of the Jurong Triple Threat fixtures was almost riot like. Tackles were being sent in everywhere, not least from Royal Brunei's substitutes. The match was practically a competition for most dramatic foul committed, not as much about goals scored. It's a miracle that mostly yellows were dished out in this war. The only red came about in the 90th minute when Fermin Ruiz committed his second yellow-worthy offence of the day on Javier Rosario, one of the main culprits behind Brunei's bashings. The ball was placed 30 yards out. Wong Ngai Ho stepped up to take the free kick. It was not your usual 30 yard smasher, as Ngai Ho's shot daisycuttered along the grass under the overenthusiastic wall. That, and an amazing dummy by Son Kee-Soo left even Yeung-Hwan Jong helpless as the ball snuck into the bottom corner of the goal. For the rest of the match, the once-disruptive crowd became silenced.

Johor-Woodlands F.C. vs Best F.C. In The World

Five wins on the trot is all that Johor-Woodlands United gets. That's still good enough to leave them on the top for the time being, but the gap has become close and dangerous. Especially dangerous when you realize that you've lost to one of the potential title challengers in the Best F.C. In The World. Johor-Woodlands' defensive game worked well for the first half of the game, but they couldn't get their ball through to their star Lin Tang up front, no doubt thanks to the efforts of Otgonbayar Enkhjargal Behsud keeping his defense well knit. In the second half, it was time for the Best F.C. In the World to pile on the pressure, and pretty soon they capitalized. The freekick routine they attempted in their first match against Bishan worked the same treat here, Ong Puthucheary rifling the ball into the top of the net. Johor-Woodlands' day got much worse when Tu Van Ngyuen, who just came on at the start of the second half, had his metatarsal broken after an attempted slide challenge. This left his replacement, Mu Tai Lu, out of his usual position, no doubt contributing to Lucinho's goal in the 86th minute to truly kill the game off.

Queenstown Ice vs Red Eyes Celtic

Today was the derby day of Josef Svensson in more ways than one. Simple put, he was involved in every goal for the Ice. And one goal for Celtic. Starting off with an early header from a corner, his absolute peach of a crossfield ball found Bjorn Sorensen on the opposite wing, where he went on to slot the ball home four minutes and an embarrassed James Hunter later. In the 58th minute, it was his header from a throw in that assisted an absolutely stunning goal from Grigorijs Ozolinsh, one of the screamers of the year.

This derby wasn't all kind to Svensson, though. In between the second and third goal for the Ice, Rasmus Jorgensen, Red Eyes Celtic's top goalscorer, was naturally through on goal until Svensson made the last ditch sliding tackle to dispossess the attacking midfielder. All that did, though, was redirect the ball past Karl Lantscher into his own net. Svensson was later taken out of the game, though that might have been a mistake. Come the 88th minute, James Hunter, the same James Hunter left on his behind by Bjorn Sorensen's skills earlier on, climbed up and placed a header in off a swinging free kick from Karol Kokla's first action of the game. For the next five minutes, the University Derby became a total blur. Red Eyes did everything short of kidnapping Karl Lantscher to try and score their winner. The Queenstown Ice defense became sloppy and tired. Lantscher got a yellow for time wasting. And yet, the Ice held on for their first win of the season.

Marina Bay Mariners vs Bishan F.C.

The Mariners left it late to turn on the style. So very, very late. Late enough for Bishan to take the lead. Late enough for substitutes to be made. Late enough to make concerned Mariners fans leave the Floating Platform to avoid the inevitable traffic jam. But hey, they turned on the style with five minutes to go. A slicing run by Lucas Silva levelled the scores in the 85th minute and just three minutes later, his cross would go on to find Jamie Pizzoza's head for a late winner to crush the dreams Bishan had for most of the second half. Yeah...sorry for the boring writeup, but other than the Mariner's lack of class until the last five minutes, this game was boring. That sometimes happens in football. Next.

Citroen-Bukit Gombak F.C. vs Atletico Bedok A.F.C.

To put it simply, Citroen Bukit-Gombak pulled a complete Citroen Bukit-Gombak on Atletico Bedok A.F.C. Use their seven (SEVEN?!) defenders to plug all the play ahead, substitute Roland Lek with Tomas Cunha Gomes and watch the work he churns out to provide a winner. It's a simple formula that worked yet again. They honestly shouldn't be winning this many games. But given the mad in the head genius of a seven-man defense tactic, it just keeps working. HOW??

Internacional Futebol Clube de Cingapura vs Tengah United

Well, let's put this simply: Internacional Futebol Clube de Cingapura are not the team that held up the Mariners and Citroen-Bukit Gombak without Chicao. Having turned on Internacional's defense for the past two games, Chicao's suspension left Internacional seriously wanting in defense. Sure, Internacional's attack was alright. Heck, Kucuk Bulent powered forward to take the lead for Internacional in the 50th minute. But Tengah kept on coming through to test Daniel in goal, the Brazilian needing to pull off some miracle saves to keep Internacional in the lead. In the end, though, it was one of Daniel's attempt to stop Adam Fischer that came out mistimed and conceded a penalty that the 4-goal hero from last week converted rather well. To cap off how much Internacional missed Chicao, his replacement, Marcio Pedrinha, ended up redirecting a corner into his own net in the 81st minute to gift Tengah United the win. At least Chicao will be back next week.

Grand Prix Rejects Football League 2016/17 -- Matchday 8

Atlético Bedok A.F.C vs Internacional Futebol Clube de Cingapura -- Bedok Stadium
Bishan F.C vs Citroen-Bukit Gombak F.C. -- Bishan Stadium
Red Eyes Celtic vs Marina Bay Mariners -- Clementi Stadium
Best FC In The World vs Queenstown Ice -- Jalan Besar Stadium
Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport vs Johor-Woodlands United -- Jurong West Stadium
Yishun Red Diamonds vs Jurong Suning F.C. -- Yishun Stadium

Bye: Tengah United

The GPRFL Community Facebook Manager wrote:
"Matchday 8 offers most sides no respite from matchday 7, not least for Atletico Bedok A.F.C. as they host Internacional Futebol Clube de Cingapura in their home ground at Bedok Stadium. Sure, Internacional lost their last game to Tengah United, currently on bye, but at this point they have their star defender Chicao back from suspension. Time will tell if they can block off the rough Atletico side. Over at Bishan, Citroen Bukit-Gombak are hoping to use their similar defensive prowess against Bishan F.C., who looked good in their match against the Mariners. Well, up until the last five minutes, that was. If they can replicate the magic they had in the first 85, they can do so much more damage to Bukit Gombak. And while the Mariners were mentioned, they have an away tie against the desperately unlucky Red Eyes Celtic, the only team yet to win a match all season long so far. While they're undeserving of that statistic, they are unlikely to rid themselves of the moniker against the team currently second in the table, game in hand to boot.

The Best F.C. In the World would no doubt be high after defeating current league leaders Johor-Woodlands United, and are looking to carry that momentum into their next home fixture against the Queenstown Ice, who themselves have had their own morale boost after winning their derby against Red Eyes Celtic last week. Another derby winner last week was Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport, who are immediately slotted into a tough fixture with current league leaders Johor-Woodlands United, though the side from the north are missing Tu Van Ngyuen due to injury. And finally, the Yishun Red Diamonds return from their week off looking to capitalize on a Fermin Ruiz-less Jurong Suning F.C., looking to get back up to chasing the league leaders once again. With the top 8 all within 5 points of each other, this season is going to be a really, really close one."

Owners who HAVEN'T submitted a specific lineup for THIS matchday:
Oh, y'know, the usual.
-------------------------------------------------

Time to get picking your players. And a few reminders. Ice1Racing, Markus Tikkanen was banned from last week's (and this week's) game due to suspension, yet you still named him in the starting eleven. I assigned a random player (Innerhoffer) to his role, so take note of the naughty step. And Biscione, I forgot to add Fermin Ruiz to the naughty step in the stats box of last week's results initially. I just edited that in, so please take note. Thank you and good luck for this week!

If you have nominated a regular starting XI, you don't. I just submit a new lineup every week, because I like to tweak my lineup to keep them fresh, rather than run them into the ground.

Same tactic as usual, organisation, counter, 4-4-2. Rotation politics More or less meaning we're playing with a full B-squad, though in our team, there are no real B-players. This is intented as a statement of the quality of our youth, considering our opponent is the leader, and they would be very embarrased if they didn't destroy us.

13 GK Shahrazen Ali Rahman (BRU)
18 RDF Thordur Ingvarsson (ISL) - 24 CDF Sun Sokphen (CAM) - 15 CDF Nguyen Thanh Công (VIE) - 19 LDF Sok Dina (CAM)
17 CMF Nur Ammar Hassan (BRU)
22 RMF Thossawat Hathairanattanakool (THA) - 25 MF Amri Jayaseelan (MAS) - 20 LMF Nataniel Barbosa (TLS)
27 A Son Kee-Soo (KOR)
23 A Syahmi Hamir Jabidi (BRU)

Substitutes:
12 GK Hanif Basri Aziz (BRU) will replace Ali Rahman at half-time, for the sake of giving both some time.
28 A Pham Vinh Hào (VIE) will replace jabidi at '70
26 MF Lin Yueh-pin (TPE) will replace 'whomever is is the least fit' at '80

Matchday Report

The ever growing GPRFL Hospital Ward
My goodness me, the ambulance drivers must be getting paid extra over here with all these people getting injured left, right and centre. And most oddly, it seems to be the defenders getting the force of injuries this time, the most serious being Citroen-Bukit Gombak's Johan N. Hermansen after a collision with Riley Ritchie left his leg pointing to Johor but his toe facing Sumatra. Ironically, Hermansen's absence unraveled the seven (SEVEN!) man defence of Bukit Gombak enough to allow Ritchie to score the eventual winner for Bishan. Mikhail Makarenko, having played for pretty much the entirety of Red Eyes Celtic's season, showed his fatigue with a severe calf strain, leaving the Russian out for a few weeks.

Slaven Kostelic's injury was almost comedic, smashing his head onto the post in an attempt to stop Shahriar Islam's shot from going in. Though he played on for a further 9 minutes, he was taken off for safety, and a concussion would keep him away from Queenstown Ice's next fixture against Royal Brunei. In addition to these few injuries, Jurong Suning F.C. suffered a minor scare when their star defender Joo-Woon Song, North Korea's hero, suffered a thwack to the left knee in their win against Yishun Red Diamonds, requiring to leave the pitch unable to place any weight on his left leg. Fortunately for Jurong Suning, the injury is only a minor contusion and Song should be able to start the next match, which is actually a few weeks away thanks to their bye.

Seven goal thrillers everywhere!
This weekend of high attrition led to two fantastic seven goal showcases, the first of which being an absolute first half masterclass by the Best F.C. In The World. Five goals in the first half wasn't just beating the Queenstown Ice, it was sending an absolute message. Everyone got in on the act, including centre-back Alberto Diogo getting in a brilliant diving header in his first ever appearance for the club. This game also had own goals on both ends, Hachiman Kunimoto and Bjorn Sorensen being utterly helpless as they redirected crosses from the left wing into their own net, both being sent to the bench later in the game to wallow in shame, I suppose.

The second thriller was a real tit-for-tat affair, Red Eyes Celtic proving that even they can match the Marina Bay Mariners on a good day. And it wasn't the on-off Mariners of the past few games. Marina Bay were absolutely on fire. Red Eyes struck first after just nine minutes thanks to a minor scramble at the near post after a corner. Then Lucas Silva managed to pick out gaps in the Celtic defence twice to slot home two cool one-on-ones. Rasmus Jorgensen lit up the crowd with a spectacular 35 yarder free kick off the post to level things in the second half. Not to be outdone, Goncalves also converted a free kick in the 70th minute, his very last action of the game before being subbed off. Then suddenly, Red Eyes made it three apiece after Jorgensen's magnificent dummy sent substitute Zhang Zhu through on goal. It seemed to end that way, and the Celtic fans were ready to go home pleased with a draw against a top team. Then on came Felipe Barbosa. He and Silva clicked like they always did, and in the 92nd minute, Barbosa's impeccable through ball found Silva absolutely free, and the Mariners took the lead, won the game and left Red Eyes Celtic fans saddened once more.

Goal of the Week

Well, with 35 yard free kicks, wonderful through balls and diving headers, there were many great goals to choose from. However, the real winner of the goal of the week goes to Jacob Yaung's brilliant diving header on the end of an even better cross from Freddy Maturana. A simply sublime goal, one of the best crosses you might ever see in the game, and it happened right here, in the GPRFL.
----------------------------------------------------------------

Well, a different approach to the match report this time, take note of the Naughty Step and Injured Lists (quite a few updates there) and also a BIG announcement for the future weeks of the GPRFL to come. Get ready, or not ready...

Grand Prix Rejects Football League 2016/17 -- Matchday 9

Alright, you guys are probably waiting on the edge of your seat for next week's fixtures, so I'm….

...not giving them to you all. Not just yet.

It takes a lot of time to do even just one match day, probably takes up my entire weekend if I'm honest with you all, yet it's the most efficient way I can think of. Collating starting lineups is one thing. Then comes the statistics issue, which I do by plucking stats from real life games (mainly from the S.League and Malaysian league, though sometimes I deviate from normality) and drop them into the teams. Then I write the reports, which take long enough.

However, my army life, as some of you may know, has intervened. Simply put, weekends burned, not much time for this. I need to find a way to keep your interests up in this though, cause I really want this to not die *ahem*F1RSTC*ahem*InBetweeners*ahem*ThreeLapChamps*ahem*. So, without further ado…

The Grand Prix Rejects Football League Team Dossier

With so many players, it can be hard to keep track who's doing well where. Sure, you know when strikers score goals and whether your defence is naughty with stats like these. However, what about regular stuff, like holding up the ball, positioning, so on and so on. Who's really valuable to your team? How much are they worth? Are you starting a dud? Is a substitute stealing the limelight?

This dossier kinda answers all these questions and more, talking about each player individually, providing reviews of there performances in the games run so far and giving ratings out of 10 to each player. These ratings will also help in their value in the transfer window, coming up soon after Matchday 13 in the mid-season.

It'll take me a while to compile one for each team individually, which I'll send via PM starting next week, so don't get your knickers in a knot if you haven't received yours yet.

For now, since there's no fixtures, just…erm….

Go ahead and brag about how amazing your club until your dossier arrives, then brag about how the dossier agrees that your club is amazing etc. etc., then repeat bragging until the next fixture list arrives next month-ish.

Thanks.

Re: Grand Prix Rejects Football League -- 2016/17 Season

Post by WaffleCat »

I just realized something. Doing dossiers is so, so much more time-consuming than running the games. Like... I haven't even finished the first one and I'm two weeks in. So you know what? Let's just carry on with the games. Dossiers will be handed out after Matchday 13, mid-season.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grand Prix Rejects Football League 2016/17 -- Matchday 9

Johor-Woodlands United vs. Yishun Red Diamonds -- Northern Derby -- Woodlands Stadium

Marina Bay Mariners vs. Best FC In The World -- City Derby -- Marina Bay Floating Platform
Citroen-Bukit Gombak F.C. vs. Red Eyes Celtic -- Bukit Gombak Stadium
Internacional Futebol Clube de Cingapura vs. Bishan F.C -- Jurong Stadium
Tengah United vs. Atlético Bedok A.F.C -- Choa Chu Kang Stadium

Bye: Jurong Suning F.C.

The GPRFL Community Facebook Manager wrote:
"With anticipation, Matchday 9 arrives with two of the biggest derbies in the Grand Prix Rejects Football League season. The first is going to be a heated affair, especially with the Malaysian-Singaporean Johor-Woodlands United taking on Yishun Red Diamonds in what is bound to be a fantastic battle for superiority near the top of the table, with both teams eyeing a glorious victory over their local rivals to gain a massive leap in the championship standings. And if both slip up, expect Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport to take up pole position near the top as they face off against relative strugglers Queenstown Ice. The second derby, though, is for all of the spoils. League leaders versus championship chasers. 1 vs 2. Big Money vs Big Money. It's basically the match of the season, one that could decide where the championship goes. It's the Marina Bay Mariners against the Best F.C. In The World at the Floating Platform. Tune your TV sets, internets, radios and whatevernot to catch this match as soon as you can.

After what should be a spark of a City Derby, ease your mind at the picturesque and mellow Bukit Gombak Stadium as Citroen-Bukit Gombak look to deal with the loss of defender Johan Hermansen against Red Eyes Celtic, who might just take this opportunity to score their first win of the season, especially after their loss last week to Marina Bay. Further west and further south, we see Internacional Futebol Clube de CIngapura play host to Bishan F.C. in their aging but oddly brutalist concrete bowl of Jurong Stadium. And finally, ultra-attacking Tengah United return from their bye week with what would likely be a hot fixture against the rough and tough Atletico Bedok A.F.C, who for some reason can't punch their way out of the bottom three despite their best efforts."

Go ahead, post your lineups

Well, I'm back. So, after a few weeks away, you guys should know the drill by now. Let's GO!

Matchday Report

Johor-Woodlands United vs Yishun Red Diamonds

The first Derby of the matchday, the Northern derby, just went to show how much Johor-Woodlands United miss players when they get sent out of action or completely isolated from the game altogether. Yishun Red Diamonds managed to get Lin Tang secured, locked down and with nowhere to go. On the other side of the pitch, Johor-Woodlands' defence was exposed several times, no doubt thanks to the looming presence of Sam Howard being on the sidelines instead of on the pitch, leaving Laban Tambak plenty of opportunities to score. Incredibly, Louis Gilbere save each and every single one of them, much to the Indonesian's frustration. So much so, late in the game, he charged all the way back into defence just to get the ball back for attack, fouling Tang in the process. Tang got heated, Tambak got frustrated, the rowdy home fans got more rowdy, the crazy Yishun away section got crazier, TV Viewers grabbed popcorn watching the league's two best strikers go at each other and the referee, thankfully, defused the situation by brandishing yellow cards. However, by then, the result was pretty much set by then, as one of Gilbere's incredible saves on the night fell right to the feet of Kim Trong Trung, who had no problem finding his first goal of the season and the only goal of the game.

Queenstown Ice vs. Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport
Once again, the Queenstown Ice looked like they had everything in the bag. Sure, they let the bag slip early on after failing to defend a corner from the head of the veteran Zulham Hidayat and allowing Dieumerci Mpenza to slide through the defence all too easily for a second goal. Then Jarkko Marjamaki suffered an injury scare following a bang of the heads (no real injuries) and Brent Sorensen came on. Sorensen went on to have the game of his life. Sure, he only took one shot on target that easily sailed off halfway to Sentosa, but who can claim to have a 100% percent pass completion rate? And set up the second goal on a plate for Krystof Vrablik to equalize? This youngster has got something about him. Of course, that would've had mattered if the Ice won the game. And if he'd scored the winner in spectacular fashion. But, come the 86th minute, Dieumerci Mpenza made the turn of the millenium off a high ball to fool a hapless Miklos Marko and slotted home the late, admittedly deserved winner for Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport. They kinda needed that winner too, seeing the result in the following game...

Marina Bay Mariners vs. Best F.C. In The World
Say goodbye to that undefeated streak, the Best F.C. In The World, and say hello to red-faced, pants on the ground humiliation. Losing the biggest game of the year in the league to your title rivals in front of what might be the largest crowd of the year in the country's biggest derby is bad enough. Losing 4-1 in that scenario is just terrible. When your best player is Shengyu Oh while your star strikers have an absolute shocker of a game, sending not one but two balls into Marina Bay, you've had a rough time. And the Mariners made took the opportunities so very, very well. Emil Blazevic started off by scoring what may be the most powerful strike in GPRFL history, and then the floodgates opened. Lucas Silva's 18-yard effort made it 2-0 and made him joint top scorer of the league alongside Laban Tambak. And just when the Best F.C. In The World got some momentum through Oh's tap in, Silva and Jamie Pizzoza made an absolute fool out of the defense before the Gilbratarian slotted in those 'sweaty' goals you see FIFA Youtubers scream incessantly about, play the sick dubstep music and photoshop some 'Deal With It' sunglasses. And just to add to the humiliation cake, Felix Bauer-Jensen thought Goncalves' audacious effort was going well wide, making no attempt at saving it. The ball obviously rolled off the post and in. The German goalkeeper's reaction pretty much summed up the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day from the Best F.C. In The World.

Citroen-Bukit Gombak F.C. vs Red Eyes Celtic
From a humiliation on a team level, to humiliation on a personal level. Meet Rory King. He's been fairly insignificant for the season thus far, especially when you're one of Citroen-Bukit Gombak's seven defenders (SEVEN!!), but he's kinda been alright thus far. In this game, without Johan N. Hermansen playing, King and his fellow backline felt more exposed than ever before. King gets a yellow card fairly early on trying to desperately stop Red Eyes Celtic's hotshot Rasmus Jorgensen from scoring yet another goal. Your partner in the backline, Sebastian Cade, gets the same treatment doing the same thing, and Vladimir Kriz pulls a muscle trying to keep up with all this action. Then, he attempts to play the simplest backpass ever. And....well.... it's the worst miskick anyone's ever seen. And the ball's gone into the back of his own net. And you can only push to attack so much when there are seven defenders on his team. And he's been tasked to stay back. And they're starting to make an attack. So what most people do is make a tackle. Rory King went ahead and did a full-on hockey style body check. Cue a red card and a redder face on Rory King, for having one of the worst performances I've seen. Red Eyes Celtic couldn't care less, though. They've finally, finally, gotten their first victory in the league.

Internacional Futebol Clube de Cingapura vs Bishan F.C.

Let's face it, after Dragan Skacic's early red card for a stupid handball, and Bishan F.C.'s goal from the subsequent free kick, you'd expect the floodgates to open. However, with Chicao, Tomas Sjerbcka, Küçük Bülent and Ang Ka Ling as your gatekeepers, there was no way Bishan was going to score a second. Bishan piled all sources forward using whatever attack possible, be it tiki-taka, counter-attack or plain old Ritchie to Ritchie play (That's goalie to striker, for those unfamiliar with Bishan's lineup). The back line for Internacional just held firmly shut. It's a shame Internacional couldn't get a goal or two as Hiro Nakamura also had a fantastic game, subbing on for his injured countryman and easy-to-mix-up colleague Akira Takamura. With the defenders playing out of their skin, it was absolutely beautiful defensive football. Boring for the casuals, beautiful for the tacticians.

Tengah United vs. Atletico Bedok A.F.C.
It's been a while since a win from Atletico Bedok, hasn't it? Or even a solitary point for that matter, having lost the last three on the trot. Lose no more, though, lose no more. With a bye coming right up, Atletico decided to play their all before the upcoming break. And boy, did they give it their all. Tengah United are known for full-on attack, but Atletico Bedok's defence was rock steady with each attack from Adam Fischer, Felipe Oliveira and co. And on the few attacks that Bedok had, they made the most out of it. Adil Rexha converted the penalty he drew from Ryan Jones early in the second half, and Will Chilton's volley a few minutes before being substitued sealed the deal for the away side and may just send Tengah United back for a rethink.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And that's the matchday done. Take note of injuries, sendings off and the like (there's quite a few this week) and celebrate with champagne/cry in the corner (delete where applicable) until the fixtures come up tommorrow. (if my computer doesn't act up, which it's starting to do)
My friend's USB drive spoiled, spilled tea on her laptop and had a bird poo in her hand.

"Matchday 10 kicks off with two teams that, though they are right next to each other on the league table, they're more than one win away. Will Tengah United be able to close up the gap to the elite few or will Bishan F.C. get that one step closer to a title challenge? We'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, while we're debating over who's going to win the opening fixture, let's take a moment to remember that Red Eyes Celtic have actually won a game. Yep, that's right. And they look to turn a winless streak into a winning streak against Internacional Futebol Clube de Cingapura, with some of the best defenders the league has to offer.

In the meantime, at Jalan Besar Stadium is two teams looking to overcome the embarrassment of the previous week. Citroen-Bukit Gombak F.C. look to leave the fall of the Rory King behind as they face the Best F.C. in the world, who are probably pulling the longest faces in the world after their disastrous loss to their rivals, the Marina Bay Mariners. And speaking of the Mariners, they have absolutely no respite in yet another vital game. With the Best F.C. In the World crapping themselves in Marina Bay, Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport are now the only team within touching distance of the Mariners. A win for Royal Brunei means they leapfrog the Mariners to the top of the standings. Lose and the Mariners will run off cackling with a precious 4-point margin at the top of the leaderboard at worst. Expect Jurong West stadium to go nuts.

Another team that's won their latest derby match is the Yishun Red Diamonds, and by all means a well deserved win at that. The early league leaders look to regain their mojo as they face the Queenstown Ice, who - despite their misfortune, have given plenty of top teams a good run for their money. And speaking of running, Johor-Woodlands better run. Now. They've lost their last three on the trot. And they've got a fully rested Jurong Suning F.C. ahead of them for their next fixture. If they don't pick up now, that streak will go to four games. And Jurong Suning will be more than happy to pick up any crumbs that fall off the table."

Again, I've got everything ready for this matchday coming up, so let's get right to it. Lineups, fall in.

Edit: Oh, and this matchday is most definitely going to take two weeks to do. Yep.
