Alright guys, the one day warning is up! Time to submit your squad for this week if you haven't yet!
My friend's USB drive spoiled, spilled tea on her laptop and had a bird poo in her hand.

What did she do in her past life to deserve this?

Matchday Report

Marina Bay Mariners vs. Johor-Woodlands United

A rough as all hell, scrappy game to start off. An intense midfield battle was interrupted by few attempts on goal. Lin Tang had a shot scrape the paint off the woodwork and Lucas Silva's shot from a messy scramble was blocked by either Andy Sim or Sam Howard (I honestly couldn't tell who) off the line. And this was all in the first half-and-hour before the challenges suddenly came to a halt after a massive incident. The Mariners had a ball bounce clear after a corner, and Goncalves was all prepared to unleash a characteristic long range effort. Nanda Nibhanbupudi, however, came for the ball with a full head of steam, and while he did get the ball clear, his entire weight went down on Goncalves' standing foot. Some photographers and players could hear the crack. Goncalves' left leg was bent awkwardly and horrifically. Nibhanbupudi called for medics a la Lawrence Taylor, distraught at the sight. Mariners players could only attempt to calm Goncalves down. For Goncalves, his season is over, and the rest of the game was played out in a somewhat sombre manner.

Citroen-Bukit Gombak F.C. vs. Jurong Suning F.C.

Citroen-Bukit Gombak F.C. returned to their special seven (SEVEN!) man defence to cope with Jurong Suning F.C.'s unusual tactics. Rotating defenders, Yan Wei Sheng playing on the wing and full-back simultaneously and an attacking midfield trio doing whatever they please. It was the most spectacular tactic to watch live, as the Bukit Gombak faithful was almost silenced trying to keep up with Jurong Suning's wild play. Vladimir Kriz had similar troubles, and fouled Wei Sheng as he went all the way up field on a counter-attack. The resulting free kick by Zhi Huang bobbled past whatever Jurong Suning player that was up front as well as Citroen-Gombak's seven defenders to end up at the feet of Maximiliano Tate, whose blast into the top of the goal ended up being the only goal of the game as both Roland Lek and Tomas Cunha Gomes' rare attacks were foiled by the ever resilient Joo-Woon Song.

Internacional Futebol Clube de Cingapura vs. Yishun Red Diamonds

A surprising upset, indeed, but this time it was Internacional's stunning attack that was pleasing everyone in Jurong instead of their defence. And that was mainly down to one man: Erik Heinrich. The man on form gave Laban Tambak a good run for his money in attacking prowess today, as both strikers went at it on goal, though Internacional's defence was prepared for Tambak quite well. Heinrich, meanwhile, went mad towards goal. Poor Arthit Chatwilai, on his return to fitness, could only stumble as Heinrich rounded him for Internacional's first. Then the unthinkable happened: Chicao scored a goal. Yep, that's right. CHICAO. Volunteering his services for a corner, a powerful header from Anthony Elleray was directed to the far post. Then Chicao…I don't think he knew it as, rather than a directed header, the ball smacked off his face. This deflection was enough to fool the helpless Chatwilai and give the tough, bruising defender an unexpected comical goal. Heinrich later added his second for the game in almost the same fashion from another Elleray header, though this time the German meant his header. Tambak, though heavily limited, still drew and converted a penalty conceded by Ang Ka Ling, and went on to play a one-two to allow Vasily Vasilyev to slot the ball around the far post, though by then it was too little, too late for Yishun Red Diamonds.

Tengah United vs. Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport

A frustrating game overall for Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport, as the weather in Singapore took an unexpected turn for the worse as it usually does. Just that this time, it was horrifically bad. A downpour suddenly started around four minutes after kickoff, enough to put off Valkone Syphasay, whose sliding challenge was near uncontrollable as he took out Javier Rosario in the box, who went to convert his penalty early on in the game. Downpours like this only usually last for ten minutes in Singapore. This rain went on for full ninety and then some. The action at Choa Chu Kang Stadium slowly devolved from the beautiful game to WWE Divas-style mud wrestling matches. Along with the rain came heavy gusts of wind at random intervals. Azhar Kumar went on a rare break upfield early in the second half and decided to play a cross in, a rare sight from the Singaporean. It seemed like an easy enough ball for Mirlan Shakirov to collect, but one of those gusts of wind kicked it at that moment, and the ball sailed over the Russian's head and into the net. Kumar knew the goal was unintentional, but celebrated anyway, just because he's joined the exclusive club of players that have chipped Mirlan Shakirov.

Atletico Bedok A.F.C vs. Best F.C. In The World

Rumour has it that Mediacorp are going to be producing a sequel for Singin' In The Rain, and that the cast would feature the entire squad of Atletico Bedok A.F.C. The rain that had hit Choa Chu Kang was in full terror mode in Bedok, much to the delight of Atletico Bedok players. Their hack-and-slash tactics worked to full effect in the waterlogged conditions, and all the long balls by the Best F.C. In The World were stopped dead by whatever puddle the ball had plumped itself in. It was ugly football, and the goals from Atletico Bedok were equally distasteful. Felix Bauer-Jensen had been attempting to grab wet balls all day (don't get a dirty mind now, folks) and more often than not balls squirmed out of his palms like eels. Substitute Will Chilton took notice from the bench, and when he got on, went on to capitalise on Bauer-Jensen's mistakes twice in eight minutes to earn Atletico Bedok a miracle win before the trade period.

Bishan F.C. vs. Red Eyes Celtic

What a match. The rain from yesterday night continued into the day, though now easing up ever so slightly. Red Eyes Celtic had control for the majority of the game, with Markus Ingimundarson and Anders Matias Torbergsen linking together for Celtic's first goal early in the game before Rasmus Jorgensen's delightful curler from the edge of the box sailed over Bill Ritchie's fingertips into the opposite corner for a spectacular. All throughout, Bishan were looking for an equaliser, and midway through the second half struck an opportunity when James Hunter took down Mikhail Kuznetsov in the box. Rafal Nahorski stepped up to take it, only to see the ball blast right over the bar. From the following goal kick, the ball eventually found it's way to Ingimundarson, who went on to run as fast as his old legs could take him. For those that only watch football casually, it may seem like an average enough goal. For those that know Ingimundarson, the next goal was a moment of magic. Ingimundarson brought the ball to his own pace, magically skipped past a backtracking Fernando Cabral, before firing a rifle past Ritchie for his second goal of the game.

That goal was the end of Red Eyes Celtic's domination, as Bishan came firing back on all cylinders. Shots were being blasted past Jaakkola's goal left and right, and Bishan finally got another penalty as James Hunter conceded another foul in the 85th minute, this time taking down Kuznetsov's substitute, Pavel Jaan. Riley Ritchie went on to covert the penalty with ease, and two minutes later his low shot somehow slipped under Jaakkola's stretched arm to make the score 3-2. Then Bishan F.C. went on full psycho mode on attack, as for the rest of the game, only Bill Ritchie was in Bishan's half, and even then looked like he was going to rush into attack. The Makarenko brothers in Red Eyes Celtic's defence, though, were absolutely on point, playing the game of their lives to give Red Eyes Celtic a hard earned victory.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Two things. The first being Goncalves' injury. I didn't intend for the severity of the injury to be that harsh at all. I just got a list of injuries and their prognosis on one tab, and the beautiful RNG on the other. And, sadly for the Mariners and Ataxia, it just so happened to be the ever-dreaded leg snap. Sorry.

The second, being the fancy, lovely mid-season trade window!!! The post for that will be coming up either tomorrow or Monday, will last for two weeks, and kinda requires quite a bit of interaction. I'll do the best I can from my bunk in the Army to keep up, but it should run smoothly with what I've got here. So hang on tight!

And yes, I did just source out the WSL. Shush.

MID-SEASON TRADE WINDOW and another thing

Post by WaffleCat »

MID-SEASON TRADE WINDOW

Managers, now it's time to head back into the offices, check your emails and hook up your fax machines, for it's time for the mid-season trade window! Will there be any big name transfers?! Will there be a traitor to their respective randoms as they switch to their local, heated rivals? It's all about to go down right here!

How the trade window works:

-- The trade window will span two whole weeks, from the time this post goes up to the 11th of February, 2359 Singapore time. 'Gamewise', the window only really lasts a week so that the stamina of players affected by their bye weeks are fair, so no change in fatigue.

-- NO MONETARY TRANSFERS. For the sheer reason that I can't work out the money system in this game yet. Heck, I might need loads of help in this regard.

-- Each team is only allowed to send out a maximum of four trade offers to other teams in the league per week.

-- There is no limit as to how many offers a team can recieve. When a trade offer is received, the recipient can either accept the trade, deny it completely or change only ONE SIDE of the trade offer like so:

If Player A is offered for trade with Player B, the recipient can only either swap out Player A for Player C from the same team, or Player B with another one of his own, Player D, but must not change both out.

-- A trade offer is cleared if the offered team accepts or flat-out rejects an offer. In the second week, teams can only make offers if they have had offers cleared in the first week, by 6th Feb, 2359 Singapore Time. If say,

Team A makes four trade offers at the start of the window, Offer 1, Offer 2, Offer 3 and Offer 4.

By 6th Feb, Offer 1 and Offer 2 are still under negotiation, but Offer 3 and Offer 4 have already been cleared. Thus, Team A can only make two new trade offers to replace Offer 3 and 4 until the end of the window.

-- Only one trade offer could be made at a time if one wants to swap out a player for multiple players or vice versa.

-- This is where the ratings that I gave you guys kick in, in order to provide a fair trade window. Although ratings CANNOT be publicly discussed, they are vital for some special trade clauses…

In the situation where a team offers Player A for Player B...

-- If Player A is rated more than three points HIGHER than Player B, basically the team has dun messed up their trade, and the trade will be automatically accepted, no matter how the receiving team responds.

-- If Player A is rated more than three points LOWER than Player B, the team is being far too ambitious, and as such the trade offer is automatically cancelled, no matter how the receiving team responds.

Take note the above rule will not apply for negotiated trades and multi-player trades, and as I know all, I'll tell you when a trade is auto-accepted or auto-cancelled.

-- No Trades by PM. All to be on this thread.

Happy trading!
---------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope you didn't get too lost from the above rules. And speaking of rules, here is another minor, yet very very major rule….

SACKINGS

Yep, managers can get sacked here. I don't really want to clampdown much on inactivity, being quite the occupied person myself, and I myself can sometimes get lost with whatever I'm involved in. However, I think this rule requires to be in place in order to keep this season going smoothly for everyone. As a result….

You will be SACKED if:

-- You don't have any activity whatsoever during the trade window
-- You fail to submit a line-up for three consecutive matchdays

Obviously, sacked managers will need replacements, and so I'll open up a waiting list for other users who want to enter the GPRFL, who can enter with their own respective teams in the following season.

So…let the mania of the trade window BEGIN!

Star Sports wrote:GPRFL Trade Window: Zhengzhong requests transfer from Jurong Suning

Highly rated Chinese playmaker Chao Zhengzhong has demanded a transfer out of Jurong Suning F.C, having found himself stuck behind Brazilian star Maurícinho in the pecking order at the team.

The clinical trequartista, who has an enviable goal ratio for a midfielder of 0.5 per game, has torn defences apart on his appearances for the Chinese-owned Jurong East team, but hasn't been able to unseat the equally prolific Maurícinho from the single AM slot in the team's formation.

Suning have reportedly accepted the Chinese player's request, as the current league leaders are looking to acquire a pair of full-backs during the window, and will need to sell first to meet Financial Fair Play regulations. Fellow midfielders Xia Zhang and Logan Hunt are also widely anticipated to be leaving for other clubs during the window.

Star Sports wrote:GPRFL Trade Window: Suning court Bishan's Jun-Ho

Jurong Suning have reputedly made Bishan's rightback Jun-Ho Gim their number one target for the transfer window, and are willing to pay top dollar for the North Korean.

Reports suggest he has been requested at the behest of Jurong Suning's team captain Joo-Woon Song, who also captains the North Korean national team, and thus has a close relationship with his fellow countryman.

While club management would not comment on the rumours, Joo-Woon himself did not deny the reports when asked at the gates of Suning's training facility this morning.

"Gim is a great friend of mine, and an esteemed colleague in the PRK national team," he said. "To have him at Suning? For sure, he would be an excellent addition, there is no doubt, but this does not mean anything will happen. But I will be the first to welcome him if we were to join the team."

Jurong Suning Offer 1: Chao Zhengzhong (AM) [Jurong Suning] < -------- > Jun-Ho Gim (RB) [Bishan]

According to an insider within the organisation, Best In The World F.C. is looking to improve their offensive lineup with a major trade. Despite already having the highest scoring output in the league, management is concerned with being unable to cover the lapses of their otherwise talented defense.

Said deal would involve Tengah United and their superstar Adam Fischer, who has impressed with six goals in the campaign so far. According the rumor, the team is supposed to recieve a starting player to improve their defense, which has conceded the second-most goals in the league.

Tengah United recieve:
Felix Bauer-Jensen
Mizi Badri Suhaili

Question: can players be sacked and changed for youth players?

vvv RULES CLARIFICATION & TRADE WIRE vvv

Post by WaffleCat »

This wrote:Question: can players be sacked and changed for youth players?

Errr...not yet. I'll admit, this is kind of a flaw that I have in my thing here, as I'm trying to keep things fairly simple for myself to make things easy for me to sort out in my (currently) busy schedule.

Youth players/releasing players/retirements/monetary transfer and other stuff raised I'll get to work on after the season's done, so don't fret too much about that.

Anyway, from what I've gathered, these teams have the following amount of trade offers remaining for the first week of the trade window:

Jurong Suning F.C. -- 2 offers left (multi-player trade used)
Best F.C In The World -- 3 offers left (multi-player trade used)
Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport -- 3 offers left (multi-player trade available)
Marina Bay Mariners -- 3 offers left (multi-player trade available)
Yishun Red Diamonds -- 0 offers left

All others have four trade offers left.
---------------------------------------------
TRADE WIRE

Charles ROI to Internacional <---> DANIEL to Royal Brunei
Tamura TADAKUNI to Bishan <---> Javed SHARIF to Yishun
Azhar SULEIMAN to Yishun <---> Sorin IONESCO to Mariners
Mohana DARZI and Igone BALDONADO to Royal Brunei <---> Sok DINA and Lin YUEH-PIN to Yishun

---------------------------------------------

The above info will be updated as the trade window goes along.

Do take note a trade offer is not counted until a player is named from both sides of the trade deal, like what DemocalypseNow and Klon did.

And take note, for cases like the trade between This and FantometteBR, the trade offer will be tallied to the first to name a specific player, hence the trade offer is counted towards Royal Brunei as Roi was named for a trade.

That's all for me, dropping by from my bunk. Will do my best to follow this as closely as possible and answer your queries where possible. :-)

Just another little detail to clear any confusion...

A trade offer is only used up if a team contacts another team with at least one specific player mentioned.

This means approaching players on other teams with open offers -- be it whether they are trade listed or not -- still counts as an offer for your team.

Also, once the entire trading period is over, I'll update y'all with dossiers of players that you've received in trades.

Anyway, carry on as you were.

Two notes on that:

1) Suleiman's from Marina Bay Mariners, not Tengah

2) Zhen Zong's rating is more than three points lower than Ngai Ho's (heck, more than five points even), so your offer for Wong Ngai Ho is automatically cancelled according to the rules mentioned earlier.

Apart from that, you're quite alright as is.

Not Much on the block at Bukit-Gombak
The team has planned rebuilding during the transfer window, but mid-season is "too far into the season" for the team manager, Therefore no offers will be made at thw team for now.

Managers, roughly 40 hours-ish until the end of the first week of the trade window. If you want to negotiate any trade offers, try to do so before the first week ends, otherwise you'll have fewer trade offers to play with in the second week.

Seeing as Bishan are not capitalising on this opportunity to name their terms, instead I will have to put forward an offer my own again. I know they want a striker, and look a bit short in the middle of the park, so let's try this;

SUNING | Fraser [ST] + Ruan [RB] + Zhang [CM] < ---- > Gim [RB] | BISHAN

Mariners decline the offer with Darzi, largely because we don't play with full-backs...

We will provide a counter-offer of Suleiman in exchange for Ionesco.

Yishun accepts the counter-offer

Prasongsanti will be removed from our transfer list

We also will use our final offer as a multi-player deal:
Mohana DARZI (LB) + Igone Baldonado (LWM) [Yishun] <--------> Wong Ngai Ho (LM) [Royal Brunei]
Owner of the Peak Motorsport Group.

In that case, i counterproposal by adding RMF Thossawat Hathairanattanakool or MF Lin Yueh-pin to the deal.
2 for 2. Dina is a young promising player and thus to good to be traded for just one player.

Alright, just two hours left until the first week of the trade window closes, after which the second week will begin. Trade numbers will go back to 4 unless you still have offers that are not cleared yet (only Jurong Dining still have an offer pending as of now).

And also, do keep in mind the sacking rule for failing to show up at all in the trade window. Again, to newcomers, a waiting list will open up if a manager gets sacked.

Alright then, the first week of the trade window has passed, and with DeomcalypseNow pulling out of his deal, quite literally at the last minute, everyone has four trade offers again should they wish to trade. The trade window has been extended to 12th February, 0800 Singapore Time/0000GMT.

SACKINGS

The following managers will be sacked if they are inactive in the remainder of the trade window:

RedEyes504 (Red Eyes Celtic)
Wizzie (Johor-Woodlands United)
Ice1Racing (Queenstown Ice)
peteroli34 (Tengah United)

Even if you don't wish to trade anyone, state your intention here a la Citroen-Bukit Gombak.

Thank you.
