Lucasz Radziszewski (Poland) - AM
Vitaly Stepanenko (Ukraine) - CF
Andrzej Mahmutovic (Bosnia-H) - CF

Jurong Suning will trade you Stepanenko for Corey Fraser [ST].

Another problem - I'd like to sign Wei Chen from Johor-Woodlands, but if they do not respond, can I still manage to carry out a trade if their current manager is replaced? We would be sending Zhao Shunyuan in the other direction.

Because I'm a Spelling Nazi, can we just agree Patrick Niederhauser's name was written incorrectly and should be updated to the correct spelling? It bothers me so much it's making me regret the trade in the first place

….sure, it'll be Niederhauser then.

And to the rest of you managers, you all have less than a day to finish off your final trade offers if you want any last minute steals!

Seeing as swapping player ratings is forbidden, can we get an opinion news piece after the window slams shut on the winners and losers of the trade window? :deletraz:

GPRFL Article Writer wrote:Trade Window -- Movers and Shakers
---------------------
We Shall Not Be Moved

Despite the enticing trade window, several teams opted to remain locked up within the trade window, deciding to shut up shop completely without taking any offers or putting them on the table. Citroen-Bukit Gombak has released plans to rebuild, but they've opted not to stay quiet in mid-season. Rivals Tengah United followed Citroen Bukit-Gombak suit, shutting down a wild yet reasonable trade from the Best F.C. In The World involving both teams' starting goalkeepers and four goal heroes. Likewise, Atletico Bedok's only involvement was closing their shutters to a Karl Jepsen trade from the Mariners, with their wall at the back being deemed to valuable for the team from the east.

--------------------------------
Red Diamonds Go Mining for More

Yishun Red Diamonds were the one team to go absolutely crazy in the first week of the trade window. And I do mean go absolutely crazy. The first bid they put out was probably the most laughable bid of the window. Their offer to Royal Brunei was that Zhen Zong, their ageing striker who hasn't even got a chance to go on the pitch all season, be traded for Wong Ngai Ho, Royal Brunei's surprise package who won't stop performing incredibly all year long. Needless to say, that offer was soundly rejected, but then they got some good offers later on.

They acquired a new backup for left-back, Javed Sharif from Bishan F.C. in exchange for their own backup in the midfield in Tamura Tadakuni. The substitute swap continued with their centre-backs, as they targeted transfer-listed Azhar Suleiman over at Marina Bay for their tough and dependable backup Sorin Ionesco. And finally, once the management at Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport recovered from their fit of laughter at the Zhen Zong/ Ngai Ho deal, they were able to negotiate a deal with Mohana Darzi and Igone Baldonado arriving to the outfit in Jurong West, while letting Sok Dina and Lin Yueh-Pin go off to Yishun. With most of Yishun's transfers being in the form of backups and substitutes, it remains to see how a heavily changed substitute's bench will affect the high flying club from the North.

------------------------
No Real Big Moves

Speaking of Royal Brunei, they were one of the few teams to actually complete a trade involving first-team players with the first trade of the window. Charles Roi, despite being named as one of the better players in the side by Royal Brunei at first, had been having a struggle producing quality play all season. They went ahead and traded him away to local rivals Internacional for…their starting goalkeeper, Daniel. Unusual, no? Not quite for Internacional, who might see this as quite a benefit. Though Daniel was clearly their best goalkeeper, his recent form has been horrific, no doubt to opposing teams finding the few weaknesses in their defence more often and the team realising that Daniel has been thanking god for his defensive line all this time. Nevertheless, Royal Brunei have still found a good back-up in case Mirlan Shakirov gets injured, and likewise, Internacional may just be able to turn Roi into a valuable asset to hold their midfield together. When these two meet again in the Jurong Triple Threat, it'll be fun to see what goes down.

The other few transfers among starting players have all been through Jurong Suning, who went wild in the second week of season. This may just be due to anger from Bishan F.C. downright refusing to pick up the phone from several offers for Jun-Ho Gim. Firstly, they contacted Red Eyes Celtic to give away their ultimate disappointment, Vitaly Stepanenko for their substitute striker in Corey Fraser. Who knows if Stepanenko will undergo a makeover in Jurong Suning, but Red Eyes have had enough of him performing below expectations, I reckon. For their next trick, they traded away Zhao Shunyuan for Johor-Woodlands' star right-back, Wei Chen, by default, but we'll get back to that later. Finally, they ended up with an absolute steal from Queenstown Ice, as their right back that has been nothing but surplus to them, Li Ruan, was traded away for starter Patrick Niederhauser, whose name we've been spelling incorrectly for the entirety of the season. Needless to say, Queenstown Ice needed some backup in the centre-midfield, and got it in the form of Patrick O'Gready, who's been nothing but useless for Red Eyes Celtic. In return, they gave them Miklos Marko, who was also nothing but useless for Miklos Marko. Almost seemed like a pity deal between the University Rivals to close the trade window, but there you go.

--------------------------------
Johor-Woodlands manager sacked, looking for replacement.

And one final impact came at the end of the trade window, as the current manager for Johor-Woodlands United was rather forcibly sacked at the end of the trade window. Though the official reason was for not being active in the trade window, it could also be due to their incredible five-game losing run late on in the first-half of the season.

Currently, the board for Johor-Woodlands United are seeking a new manager, with a member of said board stepping in to take care of the team for now.

And with that, the trade window is done. All info about your traded players, but not including ratings will be sent to you guys soon.

Also, we need a new manager for Johor-Woodlands United, so anyone interested to take over the team just say so in the comments, and I'll PM you the team info.

Thank you.

Star Sports wrote:New Jurong Suning signings will need time, says manager

Nunzio Luzzatto, manager of the Jurong Suning team, announced in the press conference for his trio of new signings this morning that it may take time for the trio to make an impact in the team, given their respective situations before arriving at their new team.

The man arriving from the north, Wei Chen, is e expected to make his debut first of the trio, according to comments from Luzzatto this morning at the recently completed Suning Training Complex on Jurong Island.

"There are different goals for all three of these new signings," Luzzatto explained. "They come from different teams in different scenarios, so have different mindsets on arrival. They come from teams that were struggling, thrashing away to keep their heads above water. Things are different now."

"You can see the talent in all three, but some difficult situations have affected their performances. This is natural. We have a good team chemistry, a good mentality here, it's what has us at the top of the league despite other teams having more money, better resources and so on."

His first attentions turned to Wei Chen. The right back was acquired from Johor-Woodlands, who are undergoing a seismic change of their own with the recent departure of their Australian manager.

"With Chen, you have seen already his star qualities," Luzzatto effused. "In the opening rounds, you saw his real level. He was the star of the team, a strong tackler, brave, but also making excellent contributions down the wing to attacking plays. As the mentality at the team changed, his freedom to play was restricted, and his form dipped. I think the way we play, our system, will suit him well and will help him rediscover his form."

Attentions then turned to Vitaly Stepanenko, who was the star of the Red Eyes Celtic team, and had been considered a huge disappointment from his lack of firepower.

"I think with Stepanenko, you have a player who could not deliver on their potential. It is still there. The way his team was playing was not productive for his style. Stepanenko gives us another option up front, something different to Bertoldo [Rocca], he is a bit more technical and tricky. Given the support apparatus we have going forward, with Mauricinho, De Felice, Ruiz, Ru, he will have enough support going forward to get himself on the scoresheet again."

Lastly, he commented on a signing from neighbouring district to the east, Queenstown, and their former Austrian midfielder Patrick Niederhauser.

"Patrick will need a few weeks before he can play," the Italian stated. "Queenstown ran him into the ground. He will need some prolonged rest, and gradually building up his match fitness again. He can certainly contribute, but for the remainder of this season, he will be playing a supporting role. On the run in to the finish, we will need to rotate and keep everyone fresh, so his contribution will still be very important for any success."

The second half of the GP Rejects Football League begins NOW!

Grand Prix Rejects Football League 2016/17 -- Matchday 14

Bishan F.C vs Best FC In The World -- Bishan Stadium
Atlético Bedok A.F.C vs Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport -- Bedok Stadium
Tengah United vs Yishun Red Diamonds -- Choa Chu Kang Stadium
Internacional Futebol Clube de Cingapura vs Jurong Suning F.C. -- Jurong Stadium -- Jurong Triple Threat
Citroen-Bukit Gombak F.C. vs Johor-Woodlands United -- Bukit Gombak Stadium
Marina Bay Mariners vs Queenstown Ice -- Marina Bay Floating Platform

Bye: Red Eyes Celtic
-----------------------------------------------------------
The GPRFL Community Facebook Manager wrote:

"The second half of the season begins, and rather predictably, the fixture schedule will be the same as the first half. Only this time, the home and away teams are swapped around. This means that Bishan F.C., having held the Best F.C In the World to an exciting 3-3 draw in the first ever match of the league, will have the home advantage on their return. Atletico Bedok, having stunned the Best F.C In The World last time out, hope to claim another scalp in Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport. Yishun Red Diamonds made several moves in the trade window, but will any of them come to fruition against the ultra-attacking Tengah United?

Another main player in the trade window, Jurong Suning F.C., will have an exciting time showcasing their new players against Internacional Futebol Clube de Cingapura in what will be the defensive standoff of a Jurong Triple Threat tie. And remember when we thought Citroen-Bukit Gombak claimed a major scalp in Johor-Woodlands United? That might be a bit easier for them, given the home advantage and Johor-Woodlands currently relying on caretakers until more offers come in. And, finally, the Marina Bay Mariners look like they'll have an easy time against the Queenstown Ice, but you may never know when the Ice can finally find their form they've been looking for, and what better time to pick themselves up in the best place of the lot?

-----------------------------------------------------------
Owners who HAVEN'T submitted a specific lineup for THIS matchday:

Best F.C. In The World (Klon)
Citroen-Bukit Gombak F.C. (Dexter249)
Queenstown Ice (Ice1Racing)

-------------------------------------------------

We're back, but don't forget the basics! Remember to check out the last set of games (Page 6) to see who's unavailable for your squad. And, for anyone else looking:

Johor-Woodlands United is still up for grabs!

Just say that you'll take over them, and I'll send the entire squad with ratings over to you!

Jurong Suning F.C. - Matchday 14 Teamsheet

Image

New signing Wei Chen gets thrown straight into the side at RB, who will spend somewhere in the region of 60-70 minutes on the field before Hannesson will relieve him of his duties. Given Tate is running as the box-to-box midfielder, Huang will relieve him to keep the CM position fresh and avoid tired legs. Ruiz will stay on the pitch for as long as he's playing well - if he has one of his off days, Jia Ru will step in.

I would also like to note that due to the changes after the last trade window, the above will now be considered my team's Default XI in case of any lineups failing to be sumbitted.

Matchday Report

Bishan F.C. vs Best F.C. In The World

This game was almost a direct echo to their first encounter, except without any heroics from the Best F.C. In The World in the dying minutes. It was a direct back-and-forth for the first half of the game, both teams getting many, many chances on goal. Mikhail Kuznetsov got lucky early on with a wild deflected shot, though the Best F.C In The World were quick to reply on one of their typical breaks from a long ball, with Saduharu Oh being the one to receive the ball, waltz around Bill Ritchie and slot the shot home. After half-time, though, it was all Bishan. With their young fans going wilder than before, Kuznetsov was able to control Jie Xun's long ball in a sea of defenders and found the one gap to poke the ball home. And just when the Best F.C. In The World were looking like they were on a fightback, Riley Ritchie forced Ngyuen Tuan Trung to play a weak backpass to Felix Bauer-Jensen, with Ritchie beating the German keeper in a footrace to curl the ball into the side netting.

Atletico Bedok A.F.C. vs Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport

Last time Royal Brunei showed up against Atletico Bedok, they had to rely on Atletico's goalie, Kuwan Guntur, to make a foul to gain the advantage. Not this time, though. Kuwan Guntur was on top form, though he didn't have to do much except make each save look spectacular. That's mostly down to the struggling team from the East making the most out of a home ground advantage (seriously, watch out for the line of red ants near the corner flag) and their roughouse tactics. Well, by roughouse tactics, I mean Marinos Diamantopoulos, who went back to "I WILL KILL YOU IF YOU TOUCH ME" mode for this game, picking up a yellow and a suspension in the process. But no matter when you help snatch an incredible upset, thanks to Riyad Barazite thumping a header home from Wellington Paulista's crazy cross from the opposite wing.

Tengah United vs. Yishun Red Diamonds

Someone give Tengah United a pat on the back. Please. And maybe a Band-aid from the beating that the Yishun Red Diamonds delivered to them. Letting in an early Laban Tambak goal was bad enough. The real blow came when Valokone Syphasay, Tengah's main man in their...two man defence, strained his groin chasing down the Indonesian striker and had to sit out the rest of the game. And as good of a defender Tyrus Sim is, he just cannot close up any gap fast enough up the middle. So as soon as Yishun decided to introduce a few fresh legs, notably new signings Azhar Suleiman and Lin Yueh-Pin, poor Tengah were ripped apart. Especially in the final 7 minutes, as Khai Chakara had an easy break away, Tambak found the scoresheet yet again from his trusty header, and Lin Yueh-Pin did more in 11 minutes for Yishun than he did for the 13 weeks he was at Royal Brunei by miraculously chipping Mohammed Kadhim from the edge of the penalty area to complete the absolute rout.

Internacional Futebol Clube de Cingapura vs Jurong Suning F.C.

The previous game between these two was a defensive masterclass from both sides, and this was more of the same. Not your typical balls-to-the-wall derby match here, but it's a match for every defender in the world to admire in terms of positioning, offside traps and pressuring players on the ball. The only, truly major action of the game was the solitary goal itself, as Bertoldo Rocca's ambitious effort was blocked by Dragan Skacic, but the resulting deflection kindly led to the head of Samuele de Felice, who nodded the ball into Mirzai Shaifuddin's net to steal a win, that would be vital with most title contenders dropping points this week.

Citroen-Bukit Gombak vs. Johor-Woodlands United

With Johor-Woodlands United being so desperate as to having to resort using the CATS Classifieds to try and find a new permanent manager, a caretaker was left in charge as they made the trip to picturesque Bukit Gombak Stadium. And early on, their caretaker was already shouting obscenities at the referee. As the ball bobbled in the Johor-Woodlands penalty area, Roland Lek and Omar al Farik decided to challenge each other for the loose ball. al Farik went light on his challenge - hell, he goes light on every single challenge - but Lek collapsed in a heap, and that was enough to award Citroen-Bukit Gombak. This left Lek to - FINALLY - open his account for the season as the penalty flew the wrong way past Louis Gilbere. However, it seemed like a penalty was the only way Bukit Gombak could get past Gilbere, as he saved everything and anything. Lek's other shots on targets, Knight Jantarat's amazing free kick that was going to the top corner, and picking out every single cross from the air. Yes, check the stats sheet, he really did that. Despite Gilbere's heroics, though, Johor-Woodlands couldn't find the goal whatsoever, leaving Bukit Gombak Stadium in defeat.

Marina Bay Mariners vs. Queenstown Ice

It looked so, so easy for the Marina Bay Mariners. Just do what you would normally do, and the goals would follow. And Lucas Silva and Felipe Barbosa did what they'd normally do, combining together for piercing runs and a brilliant one-two for the first goal of the game. It was the one-two that would put other one-two passes to shame. But that's all the Mariners ever got to normally do. And the Queenstown Ice went bananas on attack. With the insane Josef Svensson and Slaven Kostelic marshalling the attack down the left flank, poor Shaun Sim was made to look like an incompetent fool as the Swede and the Croat razzle-dazzled down the left wing each time Queenstown Ice got up front. On one attack, Kostelic was able to break into the box, where Lauri Aaltonen left the box to charge him. And charge him he did, but Kostelic still managed to maintain possesion in the middle of all that jazz, and simply laid the ball across to Matias Innerhoffer to slot the ball home fairly easily. And then Queenstown went and settled back on their five man defence, with Kouta Hamaski bravely marshalling the defensive midfield, preventing any more Silva/Barbosa play from happening. Though the end result was a draw, the Mariners sure felt like it was a heavy loss. For the Queenstown Ice, though, they celebrated rapturously in the Bay.

Here's your results, and the fixtures for next week will be out a bit earlier than normal for my Army reasons.

"Matchday 15 kicks off with the Queenstown Ice looking to keep up their good form against the Mariners last week as they host Citroen-Bukit Gombak's seven (SEVEN!) defender insanity. And speaking of insane defending, Internacional Futebol Clube de Cingapura and Johor-Woodlands United will square off in the battle between heavy defending teams at Woodlands Stadium. The team with the best defensive record, though, Jurong Suning F.C., are flying high, four points ahead of the rest of the pack. They need all their defensive effort, though, against the insane attacking prowess of Tengah United, who just want to bounce back from their five-goal embarrassment last week.

The team that dealt that five goal embarrassment, Yishun Red Diamonds, square up to Atletico Bedok A.F.C., looking to claim another major scalp after shockingly beating Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport last time out. The Bruneian team need to recover quickly if they want to keep up with league leaders Jurong Suning F.C., as they face a tough test in Bishan F.C.. And in the final game of the week, the Best F.C. In the World return to Jalan Besar to do their best to hold off a rejuvenated Red Eyes Celtic, who held the Best F.C. In The World to a draw last time they met."

Jurong Suning F.C. - Week 15 Teamsheet

Image

The team again plays a similar system to that used against Citroen-Bukit Gombak F.C, but with the right wing being covered by the defensive Hannesson rather than offensive De Felice. We want to take advantage of their lack of defenders though, so instead of 4 midfielders in the centre of the pack, we have just three, with Stepanenko making his debut, playing the second striker role behind Rocca.

Matchday Report

Queenstown Ice vs. Citroen-Bukit Gombak

Ladies and gentlemen, note this down in your history books: Queenstown Ice has won a game. And it wasn't no fluky victory either: the Ice caused Citroen-Bukit Gombak's seven (SEVEN!) defenders to slip and slide all over the place. Seven defenders in a rigid formation is good, but seven defenders that get confused by striker's moves looks unorganized. And the main organizer was Krystof Vrablik, guiding his wing play tremendously well, scoring one and laying off Matias Innerhoffer for a second just before the break to gve the Ice, for once, a well deserved win.

Johor-Woodlands United vs. Internacional Futebol Clube de Cingapura

If it weren't for Chicao picking up a yellow card and getting banned for the next game, I'd say Internacional played beautiful, perfect defending against the similarly minded Johor-Woodlands United, who are still running on caretaker. Despite this and the general disorganization of the home team, Internacional couldn't really get any breakthroughs attacking-wise, especially with Erik Heinrich being well off his game today for some...mystical reason. Only a goalmouth scramble - with an opportunistic slide in from Mohammad Isfar Ali - could gift Internacional with the goal they needed for the three points.

Jurong Suning F.C. vs Tengah United

Despite missing Valkone Syphasay, Tengah were determined to make everything difficult for league leaders Jurong Suning F.C.. And...they did. The ball rarely fell to Tengah's back line thanks to amazing pressure from the front line to win the midfield ball. And with Jurong Suning's psycho tactics, there was the occasion where it was five Tengah wingers and strikers versus one Joo-Won Song. And though Song is probably the best centre-back in the GPRFL, even he couldn't stop an amazing round-the-diamond play by Felipe Oliveria, Adam Fischer and, with the strike, Liam Holmes to put Tengah ahead. Jurong Suning did get a goal back when Yan Wei Sheng struck in a Chao Zhengzhong cross that missed everyone as it headed to Wei Sheng on the far post. But that goal was really all Jurong Suning can do. Thank goodness they've got a few points in hand.

Yishun Red Diamonds vs. Atletico Bedok A.F.C.

Twelve minutes in, Vasily Vasilyev pulled up with a calf strain after a mildly rough tackle. Twelve minutes later, Wellington Paulista sprained his ankle on an advertising hoarding trying to chase the ball down the touchline. Never has H-TWO-O harmed anyone more than today. And just like that, both wingers, both major pillars of support for their respective attacks were out of the game. It was a matter of adapting and seeing which substitute would be a better replacement. In this case, it would be Bo Kyaw delivering the goods as his free kick found the glancing head of Kim Trong Trung to help the Yishun Red Diamonds to another win.

Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport vs. Bishan F.C.

Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport played perfectly by their book today. Almost a comically simple game plan. Let Juan Villanueva do some diva-distractions with his flashy plays, find Wong Ngai Ho on the wing. Cross it in for the big Dieumerci Mpenza to head it in. Three times this happened, three times Mpenza scored. Well, not exactly for the third, as Mpenza had his initial header saved fairly acrobatically by Bill Ritchie, but it was his follow up that sealed his magical hat-trick. Bishan, without their prime right back, Jun-Ho Gim, couldn't even touch Ngai Ho all game, and were left to wallow in their shame in Jurong West.

Best F.C. In The World vs. Red Eyes Celtic.

Oh my, Red Eyes Celtic. You had the game all signed, sealed and delivered. Two-nil up in the second half. Anders Matias Torbergsen on super hot fire. Corey Fraser finding his feet well in the squad. And then, from the sixty-fifth minute on, the Best F.C. In The World made you guys look like the '8 games without a win' side you were in the first half of the season. Lucinho and Mizri Badri Suhaili combining and gelling so well for the first goal...and then....well. Don't misplace a pass back from kick-off like that ever again. Just one mistake, and bam. Shengyu freakin' Oh is right there to tuck it away. His second in two games. And though Red Eyes Celtic somehow held onto a draw, those final twenty-five minutes were either the collapse of Red Eyes Celtic or the Best F.C. In The World turning it on and being...well, the Best F.C. In The World.

Fixtures to come out tomorrow, or today if you're in a special timezone somewhere on Earth.

"With Royal Brunei Darussalam Sport picking up a few points on the league leaders, will they be able to topple Red Eyes Celtic this week with a chance to go top? Or will Celtic prevail and give the red-hot Yishun Red Diamonds a chance to catch up to the Bruneian team? It's not like the Red Diamonds will have no challenge though, as Bishan F.C. are hungry to avenge their heavy defeat last week, especially with Jun-Ho Gim back in their squad. And in Bedok, will Atletico Bedok's roughhouse tactics that got them a win against Royal Brunei help them claim another major scalp from league leaders Jurong Suning F.C.?

One team that is on the downturn is Johor-Woodlands United, still looking for a manager as they come up to face off against Tengah United in what should be a real defensive vs. attacking game. Internacional Futebol Clube de Cingapura are also known to be a defensive squad, but with Chicao out with a suspension, can they hold off an on-form Queenstown Ice this week? And in the last game of the week, Citroen-Bukit Gombak square off against the Marina Bay Mariners in what should be a cakewalk for the Mariners, but once again don't write off anyone just yet.

Owners who HAVEN'T submitted a specific lineup for THIS matchday:
Atletico Bedok A.F.C (Adrian_Belmonte)
Queenstown Ice (Ice1Racing)

Matchdays without submitting a line-up (THREE consecutive matchdays means you will be sacked)
All good here

Yep, new week for football, so get your lineups in right away!

Oh, and yes, Johor-Woodlands United is still up for grabs.

Jurong Suning F.C. - Week 15 Teamsheet

The lads have been read the riot act, given the hairdryer treatment, given a real kick up the behind, etc. Luzzatto was not a happy chap after last time out. The real question mark is - with Song needing a little rest towards the end of the season, how will the lads fare without him on the pitch for a few minutes at the end of the game?
