In fact, i stated my drivers before the season earlier (as you implied that would be okay)

so you just need my strategies:

All drivers are the same, except for Taiwan, where the third guy will drive. I assume that would be Jem Chen. The other will of course be Chandhok, Riffo and Arabadzhiev.
All drivers conservative, except for Riffo. All using the softest compound. Div 1 teams pitting at the exact 1/3 and 2/3 point, DIv2 teams pitting at the exact halfway point and Div3 teams not pitting.
SC has no influence.
When rain: pit if lap times are more than 2% slower than usual.

I don't have much time (nor energy) to get a 'true' strategy, my apologies.
I don't know what i want and i want it now!

Ah yes, I forgot it was you that had done that though you hadn't specified Taiwan's exact season plan for every race. I think you've included everything I need there for strategy.

Out of pure curiosity, what criteria do you use to assign a rating to each driver? Some ratings in there don't seem to make much sense.

This is largely based on open wheel ability and achievement, so anyone that is more known for touring cars or rally success won't be given as much credit as a driver that has seen open-wheel success.

Generally this is the criteria I use for each level

Platinum - Consistent front runners in either Formula 1 or Indycar. If a driver has around 8 or more podiums in Formula 1 and are still regularly active in racing then they are assured of a Platinum rating. Indycar drivers would need more than that to achieve this rating such as winning or being in regular serious contention for a championship. Platinum may also be given to multiple prototype racing winners (Lotterer).

Gold - Any reasonably promising F1 driver that can achieve regular points finishes will earn a Gold rating. Indycar and Formula E drivers would need to win races. GP2 and World Series by Renault champions or serious contenders can also achieve gold status before moving up to F1 or Indycar. Drivers from below GP2/WSR level cannot achieve Gold or higher till entering this level.

Silver - Drivers who have been front to midfield runners at GP2/WSR level but not championship contenders. GP3/F3 drivers can also achieve Silver by being regular front runners while F4 level drivers can achieve Silver by winning or seriously contenders for a championship.

Bronze - Drivers that are yet to achieve anything from the above before the start of the 2016 season. Any driver in their first season of car racing will be rated Bronze. The most recent driver to reach F1 while still rated bronze would probably be Alex Yoong, even Yuji Ide won Formula Nippon races and would have gained Silver by F1.

Drivers will only have their rating upgraded between seasons so any success from 2016 won't be factored into the rating till after the season is complete. Drivers who haven't been regularly active in racing for several seasons (Trulli, Villeneuve for example) will see their rating decline. Both of those examples would have been Platinum last decade but are considered Gold now.

Which driver's ratings in particular didn't make sense to you?

Well, I was mostly looking at my own drivers, and aside from Marcus Ericsson (whom I'd argue is now a semi-regular points scorer), they seemed fine to me.

My issue is with the ratings of non-open-wheel drivers. As far as I'm aware, Nasser al-Attiyah and Elfyn Evans, for example, have no open-wheel experience whatsoever, yet have a higher rating than Axcil Jefferies, whose bronze status is deserved, but still has more open-wheel experience than either of the previous two.

Ericsson is borderline Gold/Silver for me. If he builds on what he did last season then he'll definately have Gold for 2017. As for the rally drivers you mention, I admit I should make them bronze based on what I said in my last post. I think I gave them silver originally because I felt they may be talented enough to be reasonable in an open-wheel car.

A3 Grand Prix gave us a surprisingly clean race, thus there was no need to include an incident report. Reject antics were instead provided via pit strategies as more than one nation threw away what could have been victory. :P

Rememer to nominate drivers and strategies for BOTH United States and Canada if you haven't already. Deadline for US will be the day after I post up Mexico A1.

My teams will use the same drivers as Mexico.

The only change in strategy is Kosir's race turning into a 0 stop for both races.

All Countries Will Stay The Same Driver Wise
Greece Strategy
Tires At Start : Hard
Pit : Lap 35 for softs
SC influence : If Stop in Range of 5 laps Stop

A3 Teams (MDG And PERU)
Tires At Start : Hard
Pit : Nope
SC Influence : If in range of finish (example : Ten Laps) pit for softs

Drivers: the same for all teams. The Taiwan drivers will follow the same roster for the the time being.

Strategies
India:
Both races: conservative - start hard - change to hard on lap 35 - don't react to SC
Bulgaria:
US: agressive, start on softs, change to hards on lap 15 - don't react to SC
Canada: conservative, start on softs, change to softs on lap 24 - don't react to SC
Chile
US: conservative , start on hards, change to softs on lap 33- don't react to SC
Canada: agressive, start on softs, change to softs on lap 15 and 30 - react to SC when within 3 laps of planned pit stop.
Taiwan
US: agressive, start on soft, pit for soft on lap 12 - pit when SC within 3 laps of planned pit stop
Canada: conservative, do not pit - don't react to SC

All teams change to rain tyres when pace dropped by 5% and when rain is actually falling. Change to Russian tractor tyres when snow falls (you got to be prepared for Canadian winter!)

Took a while to find time but A2 Mexico is finally up and what a close finish thanks largely to the contenders being on near dead tires by the end.

I should have A1 done over the next day then I'll run US qualifying at the weekend.

A2 Mexico
https://www.docdroid.net/pw8ZasO/3-mexi ... x.pdf.html

Please have drivers and strategies posted for BOTH the US and Canada Grands Prix by Sunday if you haven't already. The following still need to do so.

Ice1Racing
HawkAussie
Tommykl
Nuppiz
Dr-Baker
Simtek
Klon
WaffleCat
Andrew
Pinkd56

On a more amusing note, This may have joked about it but qualifying in Canada might actually be under threat from snow. :P In fact morning running is likely to be run in sub freezing temperatures.

While The Philippines are very happy to have led their first laps in A2, their chief strategist just got taken out the back and forced to eat 20 serves of Balut.

(Only Google that if you have a strong stomach for foreign delicacies)

When I visited for a work trip they got me to eat it too. I actually didn't mind it as long as I didn't think about it too much - the taste was fine. Buuut, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat it again.
