Largely due to complications with the template, i have decided to rule out custom made liveries (at least for 2018).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deadline for driver confirmations is 3 of November, around 5pm GMT, then we can start this off. Should neither of the teams respond, they will get Giuseppe Colombo, Oscar Duck III and Alex Alessin driving their cars.

I still need Nuppiz to confirm if Stefan Kuntz will be driving for Eisen Wolf or not. I offered him drive in the classified thread but he has yet to reply. :|

I checked with Nuppiz and he did offer Enrico Molinaro at the same time, so I'll sign him instead - I just checked with Nuppiz and Molinaro's still a free agent. :)

Obviously, I would have preferred to have won the race, but naturally we made a decision as a team to split the strategy between myself and Asim to maximise our chances of winning the race - Asim's strategy was simply the better one, and he drove very well today. I'm still very proud to have taken Bentley's first ever pole position, and I'm sure there will be a lot more poles and wins to come for us.

Autosport wrote:Mazda "must find more" - Couteau

Pirtek Mazdaspeed Pulsar owner Jacques Couteau has urged Mazda to ramp up development of their prototype SKYACTIV-D engine. Pulsar have struggled to score meaningful results with their diesel-powered inline-4 twin turbo engine, and Couteau feels that Mazda need to step up their commitment to the team.

"I cannot be there for every race, because I have plenty of other areas to work with within the Astro Racing Group" said Couteau. "We entered this deal as a partnership with Mazda and Mazdaspeed, and there needs to be more give and take. Mazdaspeed have agreed to transfer over more staff to our race team, but Mazda themselves need to work on this engine."

"Nissan have three different engines, and are successful. There is no reason why we cannot do the same. We are one of the most efficient teams on the grid but that doesn't count for anything when you can't score, so there needs to be some real development on the engine."

"We are promoting the benefits of a SKYACTIV engine, and Mazda must take this seriously."

Motorsport wrote:4 Hours of As Fartway round red-flagged
After multiple complains about the multiple complaints about the poor grip that the track had, alongside two serious accidents involving drivers, the commitee has decided to red-flag the 4 Hours of As Fartway race.

First, Jordan McKenna. While spunning out in the near the Klote corner, he tried to recover, but he didn't watch that Andrea Battani was in his sight, and McKenna's car flew into the air. Luckily, he escaped away with only a minor concussion, and he is clear to race.

However, Rui Onorio wasn't as fortunate. He tried to lap Yui Megumi in the Poeha corner, but a lack of space meant that the car went flying into the wall, the car completely destroyed in the front. He has some serious fractures, and its in critical condition, so his return to racing for the rest of 2018 is very unlikely.

Due to these serious accidents, and the aforementioned complaints of many drivers about the track, its very unlikely that the track will come back for 2019.

With this, Lotto must name a replacement for Rui Onorio for the rest of the season.

Causing an avoidable accident by deliberately driving the wrong way on the track? That's a ban surely.

STANDINGS AFTER RACE 9:

WDC:

Code: Select all

1. Asim Adhikari   4430
2. Ron Mignolet   3940
3. Dennis Mignolet   3580
4. Jordan McKenna   3320
5. Hagane Shizuka   3240
6. Ricardo Llosa   2830
7. Paul Jenkins   2820
8. Calvin Brooks   1920
9. Jackie Gardner   1690
10. Stefan Kuntz   1650
11. Vic Sunset   1120
12. Deividas Lukauskis   980
13. Anita Horford   850
14. Tristan Jung   850
15. Riley Griffith   770
16. Wulfric Wombesi   700
17. Takuma Nakamura   420
18. Rui Onorio   280
19. Andrea Battani   210
 =. Laurindo Coelho   210
21. Leandro Moreira   140

Asim Adhikari has pretty much the title on a silver plate, but, if he slips up, Ron Mignolet could easily overtake him for the title. Dennis Mignolet has a very outside chance of getting the title, which will only happen if he gets a FLAP, PP and victory, and his rivals get nothing.

WCC:

Code: Select all

1. Nissan Motorsports   6050
2. Team Bentley   5720
3. Noritake   5020
4. Mont Blanc Racing   4350
5. Scorpio Racing   4020
6. Lotto Racing   2630
7. JLD Motorsport   1700
8. Mazdaspeed Pulsar   1120
9. Valerian Motorsport   1050
10. Scuderia Adriatica   140

The titles are more open in the WCC, although its still pretty much a battle between the first two. Noritake has an outside chance of getting the title though.
