2014 GT300 World Series (SSR11/Series Finale up!)
2014 GT300 World Series (SSR11/Series Finale up!)
Welcome to GT300 World Series - a championship answering the question of "what if GT300 expanded beyond Japanese Super GT?". The championship, run on xkoranate (using C-A-R system, but with stats generated by RNG, much like my ill-fated Formula X series - the bargaining tool after the farce that was FA1L's Alternate F1) and will be run exclusively on street circuits.
There are two team types: Works and Customer. Works teams are manufacturer teams and are eligible to receive latest machinery. Customer teams may use a new car, or stick with older ones.
You must enter two drivers, one real, one fictional. They will switch driver seats during the race. Order of driver does not matter.
Scheduled races:
1. Tokyo R246, Japan - 58 laps (300 km)
2. Lippo Village, Indonesia - 75 laps (240 km)
3. Hong Kong (GT4 track) - 53 laps (155 km)
4. Birmingham Superprix, United Kingdom - 44 laps (175 km)
5. Valencia F1, Spain - 47 laps (255 km)
6. Seattle Short, USA (GT2 track) - 74 laps (100 miles/160 km)
7. Indy Tornoto, Canada - 71 laps (120 miles/200 km)
8. Adelaide F1, Australia - 68 laps (250 km)
9. Special Stage Route 11 Classic [World Championship Round] - 62 laps (300 km)
The following cars are the Modern Cars, which can be used by the Customer and Works teams. Only one customer team can use them at once, and there can only be one works team per manufacturer.
Toyota Prius Hybrid - Prius in nothing but name (and hybrid system), powered by detuned Formula Nippon engine, using WEC hybrid technology. ALL CARS TAKEN!
Subaru BRZ - The only true non-hybrid GT300 car available for works teams, powered by Subaru's boxer engine. ALL CARS TAKEN!
Honda CR-Z Hybrid - Honda's answer to Prius in GT300, with twin turbo engine and electric motor to keep it hybrid. Works team taken, customer one still available.
Porsche 911 [996] GT3 - GT3 car re-homologated for GT300 WS, popular with teams around the world. ALL CARS TAKEN!
BMW Z4 M GT3 - Another GT3 car re-homologated for GT300 WS, with the power of Bimmer M and Z. ALL CARS TAKEN!
Renault Sport Megane Trophy II - Renault has announced that the Megane Trophy has been homologated for GT300 World Series, with slightly detuned specifications to make it legal for GT300 WS. Who will make use of this unknown potential of an one-make racer? Works team taken, customer one still available.
The following cars are Old Cars, available only for customer teams. Each car is limited to two teams.
2008 ASL Garaiya - Originally planned as a production car made out of ashes that is Tommy Kaira ZZ-II, the car ended up becoming an homologation special racer on its own right.
2001 Toyota MR-S - Compact looking racer with hidden potential behind the scenes. ALL CARS TAKEN!
1999 Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 - It has aged well, now with MR2's 503E engine. Beware of the car's increasingly aging performance, however. One car left.
2001 Nissan Silvia S15 - This Silvia is a stable racer, but the reliability can be nightmare.
2006 Mazda RX-7 FD - Serviced by RE Amemiya. The rotary engine is different from everyone else from the grid (apart from the hybrids). One car left.
2011 Mooncraft/Riley MC/RT-16 Shiden - Born from a Daytona Prototype and powered by Toyota V8 engine, won the Super GT GT300 championship in 2007.
1999 Mitsubishi FTO - Powered by Lancer Evolution engine and stuck to front wheel drive, challenged the GT300 championship in 1999. Different driving sensation, especially handling, are to be expected.
2008 Subaru Impreza GD - Carrying the legacy of a rally car - including the 4WD drivetrain, expect grip everywhere but somewhat weak reliability. ALL CARS TAKEN!
1999 Porsche 911 993 RSR - once a popular foreign car choice for GT300 teams. It has aged however, so don't expect much performance wise. One car left.

Some say he plans to put an S921 on the Goodwood 2012 run, and that he DOES know what Deletraz is doing.
All we know is...he's called Perry McCarthy!
...we'll never see an S921 at Goodwood, will we?

No trailing zeroes allowed, so I give you #7. Which means Klon's team has been given a provisional number of #77.

Looks like this series had suffered the same fate as both Reverie's CIFM World Championship and my Formula X series. If there is no more entrants (and mrfakeboullier still doesn't fix his entry) I'll call this a bust and scrap it.

Noted - also, second teams are now allowed; however, users running works modern car teams may not use the consumer slot of their own car (for instance, if you run the Subaru works team, you are not allowed to take the BRZ consumer slot).

Mecha, you need to stop flaking out of these things! If you're going to make a series, do a race or two and then scrap it, when what incentive do people have to go with any future ideas you have? Just stick at it, and once the series is going and established then people might feel it's a series worthy of joining.
As the saying goes, "if you build it, they will come."

I'll gladly stay in it if we go to two cars. Besides, it'd make having two drivers be a bit more natural.

So if I read it correct, then as I run Porsche Team Australia, I should use the customer 911 for my second team?
Tell me if so.
Anyway,
Porsche Junior Team Australia:
Team type: Customer?
#66, looks like the old 911 (1999-spec)
Drivers - James Courtney (AUS), Ryan Eastham (AUS)
Tell me if so.

Drivers - James Courtney (AUS), Ryan Eastham (AUS)
Are you referring to the old cars? That's OK with me.
Yeah, I saw that I can't use two same cars, so looks like I have to use the old 911 for the second team.

Just a heads-up: if you want to run a second team and you already have a works team, you don't have to make the second one a "satellite" team of your works one.

Re: 2014 GT300 World Series (Sign Ups)
So am I to assume that all the other customer cars except the ones with "one car left" next to them are...taken, or that they're still open?
Some say he plans to put an S921 on the Goodwood 2012 run, and that he DOES know what Deletraz is doing.
All we know is...he's called Perry McCarthy!
...we'll never see an S921 at Goodwood, will we?

"One car left" means the car is still available.

Rejected: You are running a works modern car team and attempting use the consumer slot of your own car, which is not allowed. Also, there can only be one works team per manufacturer. Your works team also already signed Whincup. Please remember that second teams can be unrelated to your works team.

Oops. I must've misread the thing about the 2 teams. My bad
As for that, I will think about whether I will have a 2nd entry (unrelated. of course ) or not.
