Penalty Points after the race:
#5 - Nico Rosberg - 5 (+5 for causing an avoidable accident involving the driver of car #6 (Fernando Alonso))
#14 - Romain Grosjean - 5
#74 - Felipe Massa - 10

-- Positives --
Nico Rosberg - even though he eliminated his team mate, he used his chances perfectly and wins.

Kevin Magnussen - placing a Marussia in second earns you the INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE.

Romain Grosjean - good drive to earn Peugeot valueable points.

Lewis Hamilton - somehow carried the miserable Stefan to ninth.

André Lotterer - made the most of his chances down the road and got his first F1 points.

-- Negatives --
Sebastian Vettel - it should have been eighteen points, not four.

McLaren-Hyundai - screwing up with a car that is basically bound to earn 1-2s earns you the REJECT OF THE RACE award.

James James Davies - silly race which turns his engine failure into a mercy kill.

Sauber-Mercedes - double retirement is not good for business.

Valtteri Bottas - you cannot win a race on the first lap, but you sure can lose it.

www.formula1.com wrote:Second Malaysian Grand Prix Cancelled!

The FIA informed the public at 8:20 p.m. local time that the second Petronas Chemicals Malaysian Grand Prix is to be cancelled. Several cracks in the asphalt, which already affected race II, have been exposed as extremely dangeorus hazards due to a major rain storm hitting the track around 20 minutes after the end of the first race, won by Nico Rosberg.

So far there has been no date set for any potential running of the race at a later day. With the contract for the Malaysian Grand Prix coming to an end this season and no new deal being negotiated, the future of the race is very much in doubt.

OOC: For your advancement clauses, all teams will be awarded 20 points. The track is quite broken as the AI line tries to overtake in spots where it is just impossible.

Penalty Points after the race:
#5 - Nico Rosberg - 5
#14 - Romain Grosjean - 5
#27 - Evgeny Restov - 3 (+3 for causing an avoidable accident involving the driver of car #30 (Lewis Hamilton))
#74 - Felipe Massa - 10

-- Positives --
Robert Kubica - did exactly what he needed to in order to secure the win, very intelligent racing.

Nico Rosberg - had no chance against Kubica, but still got the job done.

Sauber-Mercedes - very healthy bunch of points for the Swiss team.

Phoenix McAllister - fought off a train of cars with top-tier stars to earn Villeneuve valueable money, that's the INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE.

Jenson Button - great race by the Brit, the transmission failure is not his fault.

-- Negatives --
Williams-Mercedes - not switching the tyres when Alonso had the loose wheel did come back to cost them.

Brabham-Mercedes - having Davies's gearbox fail and screwing up Frijns's pitstop has really hurt them today.

Caterham-Peugeot - their performance was severly lacking, they need to do better.

Evgeny Restov - his team mate made him look like a noob, he took out Hamilton and got stuck behind McAllister: REJECT OF THE RACE by default, really.

Kevin Magnussen - after his heroic performance in Malaysia, you would have expected Kevin to keep it out of the wall.

F1 doesn't work in units of less than 1M. So it'd have to be 1M + 1M.

#5 - Nico Rosberg - 5

#27 - Evgeny Restov - 3

-- Positives --
McLaren-Hyundai - a one-two in both qualifying and race and your drivers sharing the FLAP, I don't think it could have been done better.

Nico Rosberg - refused to let his team mate pass him and was justified later.

Sebastian Vettel - he really earns respect with drives like these, after suffering yesterday, he earns the INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE award.

Robin Frijns - nice run by the Brabham driver to beat Jenson Button and other talented men.

Bruno Senna - had a great race before technical problems ruined it all.

-- Negatives --
James James Davies - failed to make up ground after his grid penalty, that one really hurts.

Kevin Magnussen - silly error turns Fernando Alonso into his mortal enemy.

Sebastién Bourdais - REJECT OF THE RACE for throwing away a very valueable result for himself and Sauber.

Marc Gené - you'd expect a motorsport veteran to not try such crazy moves.

Jean-Éric Vergne - bad luck is not helpful when you make a mistake.

TL;DR I have surrendered control of Villeneuve.

NBC Sports wrote:Haas Automation buy Villeneuve Racing

Gene Haas, founder of CNC tools specialists Haas Automation, has bought the Villeneuve Racing team.

Haas has been in a partnership with NASCAR driver Tony Stewart for a number of years with their Stewart-Haas outfit in the stock car series, and has been planning his own endeavors in Formula 1 for some months. After looking at a number of prospective areas in Europe to build his team, Haas has decided to buy the UK base of Villeneuve Racing from struggling Durango, and in addition has purchased the race operations for a nominal fee.

"We're glad to have found our home away from home, and this marks a new chapter in the beginning of the Haas F1 Team" said California-born Haas. "We've got all of the tools at home to design a fantastic Formula 1 racer, and in England we can make all the preparations to ensure this team is successful on-track."

"We bought the facilities from Durango for a seven-figure fee, and we decided to purchase the Villeneuve Racing team for a nominal £1 as per the deal" said Guenther Steiner, the Haas F1 team principal. "Durango have hit financial problems, and wanted to offload everything to do with the team."

"We decided to pick up the team as well, and we are in the process of deciding what to transfer to our own team and what to let go. We have no contractual obligation to keep anything for 2016 as they are Villeneuve contracts, not Haas contracts. However, there are things we would like to hang on to and the process for that will be tendered in due course."

It is unknown who Haas will sign supply deals with for next season. Although the team have confessed a desire to install an American driver in the team, it is again uncertain who they will sign. However, it is unlikely that Jacques Villeneuve will race for the team at Vancouver.

Penalty Points after the race:
#5 - Nico Rosberg - 5
#14 - Romain Grosjean - 5
#25 - Jenson Button - 5 (+5 for causing an avoidable accident involving the driver of car #74 (Felipe Massa))
#27 - Evgeny Restov - 3
#74 - Felipe Massa - 10

-- Positives --
Daniel Ricciardo - his first career win is bound to give him enormous confidence and earns him INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE.

Williams-Mercedes - brilliant fighting between team mates and thirty-eight points for them.

Sebastian Vettel - once more he shows that he is Caterham's greatest hope.

Alex Lynn - proves to Red Bull that parking him was a bad idea.

Evgeny Restov - neat comeback after losing his front wing at the start.

-- Negatives --
Jenson Button - his race was great, but there was absolutely no need to take out Massa and stuff like this is what REJECT OF THE RACE is all about.

Brabham-Mercedes - lacked the pace to grab the points they were close to.

Daniil Kwjat - while he is not doing bad, Vettel shows he technically could do better.

Mahindra-Mercedes - they are a classic backmarker team now, last year's heroics are basically gone.

Lewis Hamilton - the sole retirement of the day, that sure looks silly.

-- Positives --
Daniel Ricciardo - that was an awesome drive, the rookie is now a serious title contender.

Jenson Button - not able to pass Cassidy is the only minus point in his great race.

Sebastian Vettel - yet another good run by the German for Caterham.

Evgeny Restov - finally he scores his first point of the year, he gets the INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE.

-- Negatives --
Alex Lynn - the Brit was not as good as his car allowed him to be today.

Jean-Éric Vergne - his team mate's chances were slain by his car, he was just too slow.

Villeneuve-Ferrari - it is gonna be a tough job for Gene Haas to turn this pile of manure around.

Marc Gené - miserable pace for the Spanish driver until his retirement.

Kevin Magnussen - if you are too eager at the start, you pay the price for it and earn the REJECT OF THE RACE award.

Penalty Points after the race:
#5 - Nico Rosberg - 5
#6 - Fernando Alonso - 5 (+5 for causing an avoidable accident involving the drivers of car #32 (Felipe Nasr))
#14 - Romain Grosjean - 5
#25 - Jenson Button - 5
#27 - Evgeny Restov - 3
#28 - Alexandre Voeckler - 2 (+2 for having failed to undertaken one of the required pitstops)
#33 - Kevin Magnussen - 3
#74 - Felipe Massa - 15 (+5 for causing an avoidable accident involving the drivers of car #32 (Felipe Nasr))

In addition to the penalty points assigned to the driver of car #28 (Alexandre Voeckler), he has also been excluded from the race results.

-- Positives --
Sebastién Bourdais - he used all his ChampCar experience to win the first F1 race at Sonoma Raceway.

Fernando Alonso - he did not get the win, but he has beaten his championship rivals.

Alex Lynn - great run for Red Bull, Lynn is coming along nicely.

Kevin Magnussen - earns the INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE for giving Marussia two more valueable points.

David Cassidy - if Mercedes-Benz hadn't ruined his party, he would be now celebrating a win in his home race.

-- Negatives --
Felipe Massa - does not deserve the point he got today.

Daniil Kwjat - he suffered from a severe lack of pace, this is not something he can afford.

Marc Gené - being slow at age 40 is one thing, making a silly mistake at that age something else.

Ferrari - failure of communication eliminates ALV from the comptetion after Restov throws points away, the team earns REJECT OF THE RACE.

Jenson Button - pushing too hard is not good for your car, as you tend to put it in the wall.

Penalty Points after the race:
#5 - Nico Rosberg - 10 (+5 for causing an avoidable accident involving the drivers of car #15 (Marc Gené))
#6 - Fernando Alonso - 5
#14 - Romain Grosjean - 5
#25 - Jenson Button - 5
#27 - Evgeny Restov - 3
#28 - Alexandre Voeckler - 2
#33 - Kevin Magnussen - 3

#74 - Felipe Massa - 24 (+9 for ignoring blue flags and causing an avoidable accident involving the drivers of car #32 (Felipe Nasr))

-- Positives --
Robert Kubica - overcame an horrible pit crew to score a reasonably dominant win.

Jenson Button - even if a third place in the RB11 is not an INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE in itself, this move alone earns it.

Alex Lynn - another job well done, Lynn seems to have a future in F1.

Ferrari - having two cars in the points is what the red guys need right now.

Sebastian Vettel - overcame a grid penalty to score healthy points for Caterham.

-- Negatives --
James James Davies - his drive seemed rather uninspired today.

Mercedes - they had a case of roid rage in Felipe Massa and Jeroen Krautmeir was awfully slow, earning them REJECT OF THE RACE.

Robin Frijns - at least his team mate got some healthy points.

Daniel Ricciardo - made a silly driver error and pushed his engine too hard: the pitfalls of being new to F1.

Jean-Éric Vergne - the Mahindra guys just refuse to learn, do they?

After yet another disappointing performance, Felipe Massa has been fired with immediate effect, while Jeroen Krautmeir has decided to move up into team management on a full-time basis. As a result, they will be replaced with Nico Muller and Jules Bianchi until the end of the season

In that case I would suggest you determine a driver to replace JJD or Frijns, should that prove necessary, beforehand, otherwise the standard Alt-F1 replacement Adriano Nicchi will do the job.

You can only afford to fire either Massa or Krautmeir right now. You want to wait until the next GP weekend?
