Great for the team to win again, the plan for the year seems to be going well, hoping the two Olivers can build on success to secure a decent position and place for a real stab at the 2008 title.

Re: 2007 Alternate GP2 - Istanbul sprint race
Since Duval has failed to be much of an improvement on Kerr, he will be replaced by Simon Pagenaud for the rest of the season if Pagenaud's sponsors can cover the termination cost.

Since both drivers are low-money category, change costs 0,1M.

Re: 2007 Alternate GP2 - Istanbul sprint race
What a turnaround from this time last season! It took a late season surge for SAC to steer clear of the relegation zone last time, and now we're second in the constructors! Hopefully both Andre and Filipe can make some ground on Glock now.

Re: 2007 Alternate GP2 - Istanbul sprint race
There's no better way to imagine next race to start than top two in the grid being top two in the championship. To make it more amazing, both Adrian Sutil and Timo Glock recorded same time. Sutil had it earlier, so he claims two points.
Andre Lotterer, Filipe Albuquerque and Nico Hülkenberg all ended beside the track, but no one damaged their cars.

Re: 2007 Alternate GP2 - Monza qualifying and tactics
Monza feature race distance is 32 laps. Earliest pit stop lap is 6 as always. I also added one more feature: tyre damage ratio. For example, tyre damage ratio at 3 means that after 10 laps tyres behave like they have been used for 13 laps. Integers must be used. So if tou have TDR at 2, driver will pit next lap after it reaches that number.
So fill in this

Re: 2007 Alternate GP2 - Monza qualifying and tactics
Lap 1: Not the first time this year as pile-up was seen in the first corner. This time it took out five drivers: Piquet Jr., Albuquerque, van der Garde, Yoshimoto and Valerio. Glock and Grosjean had to pit but with safety car coming out they had still decent situation. Several others lost few places.
Order: Sutil, Philippe, Buemi, Lotterer, Pagenaud, Kovalainen, di Resta, Danielsson, Hülkenberg, Senna, Zuber, Ricciardo, di Grassi, Niemelä, Petrov, Matsuda, Jarvis, Ebrahim, Turvey, Glock, Grosjean.

Re: 2007 Alternate GP2 - Monza feature race
Since the forum went down I haven't thought this series so much so probably start running next race sometime next week.
However, with my new commitments I have seen my free time decreasing, so I have to end the series at the conclusion of this season.

Re: 2007 Alternate GP2 - Monza feature race
Lap 1: Drivers became wiser since there was no accidents on the first corner. Senna took the lead ahead of Ricciardo, Petrov and Glock. With lots of position swapping throughout the first lap, the complete order was: Senna, Ricciardo, Glock, Petrov, Pagenaud, Lotterer, Grosjean, di Resta, Buemi, Sutil, Niemelä, Philippe, Matsuda, Kovalainen, Hülkenberg, Ebrahim, Turvey, Albuquerque, Danielsson, Zuber, Piquet Jr., di Grassi, Yoshimoto, van der Garde, Valerio.
Lap 2: It was a short-lived joy for Petrov, as his car stops. Later on it was found that he had jumped the start. di Resta was overtaken by Buemi and Sutil during the lap.
Lap 3: Sutil moves up to 6th already.
Lap 4: Lotterer overtakes Pagenaud for 4th. Buemi overtakes Grosjean.
Lap 5: Philippe climbs to top ten.
Lap 6: Sutil overtakes Pagenaud.
Lap 8: Ricciardo and Glock touch and both lose a bit of time. Ricciardo is still in 2nd but Glock drops down to 7th.
Lap 9: Turvey goes off at second Lesmo, touches the wall slightly and he's out.
Lap 10: Sutil continues his charge and overtakes Lotterer for 3rd. Further back, Philippe moves up to 9th. Albuquerue spins off and retires.
Order: Senna, Ricciardo 3.0, Sutil 3.3, Lotterer 3.7, Pagenaud 5.3, Buemi 6.7, Glcok 7.1, Grosjean 9.2, Philippe 10.0, di Resta 10.9, Kovalainen 11.2, Hülkenberg 14.4, Niemelä 14.6, Matsuda 14.8, Danielsson 15.1, Zuber 22.6, Ebrahim 24.8, Piquet Jr 25.3, di Grassi 25.9, Yoshimoto 26.4, van der Garde 30.8, Valerio 40.6.
Lap 14: Kovalainen retires to the pits.

Lap 20: Glock makes a mistake trying to catch sixth place and loses positions.

Re: 2007 Alternate GP2 - Monza sprint race
If possible, Starforce would like to build a new car for Sutil, with Sutil's old car going to Pagenaud for the remaining races. We'd also like to invest $1 million into a maximum performance upgrade.

Re: 2007 Alternate GP2 - Monza sprint race
I see conflicting numbers in the thread about my chassis levels and bank balance. Do have 1.3 or 3.1M in the bank? And how degraded are my two chassis?
Re: 2007 Alternate GP2 - Monza sprint race
I will try to update tables tomorrow and after that it's 48 hours for requests.

Crikey, I have like...almost no money left. Best keep some in reserve in case someone writes off a chassis before the final round.

Re: 2007 Alternate GP2 - Monza sprint race
Of the two drivers who were level on points before Spa weekend, one succeeded in qualifying and one did not. Hunter Autosport claimed the front row with Timo Glock on pole. Adrian Sutil had tougher session and he will start from 12th.
The fight for pole was close as usual. Top three, including Paul di Resta, ended within 11 thousands of seconds. Lucas di Grassi was also less than tenth from the pole.
Apart from Sutil, the big disappointment in the session was Veneta Racing, whose cars fill the 11th row in the race.
Btw, updates on Euromotor and Starforce were successful.
