New and/or Revised Rule Changes for the 2017 Season

*The Porsche 911 GT2 will be removed from Homolgation List, with the Maserati MC12 GT1 being added to the Homologation List. The Full Homolgation List will be as follows:

Chrysler Viper GTS-R (In it's final year of homolgation)
Chevrolet Corvette C5.R
Ferrari 550 Maranello
Ferrari 575 GTC
Lister Storm
Pagani Zonda GR
Maserati MC12 GT1
Saleeen S7-R
Lamborghini Murciealago R-GT

Cars no longer Homologated:

Porsche 911 GT2

*Pre-Qualifying will be introduced if the list of entries for a round is above 30. All Independent and Part-Time Entries will partake in Pre-Q. Pre-Q consists of a Fifteen Minute Qualifying Session followed by a Thirty Minute Sprint race on Friday Morning/Mid-Day. The cars that finish in the bottom positions, however many cars above 30 are on the entry list, in the Race will not Pre-Qualify. The top 3 finishers in the Pre-Q race will score points towards their Independent Trophy bid, 3 for First, 2 for Second and 1 for Third. There will not be Pre-Qualifying for the Super GP.

*The amount of Full-Time entries will be capped at 36. The maximum grid capacity for each weekend will be 40 excluding the Super GP. Factory teams must enter 2 cars, if it already wasn't established.

*Friday Practice will be decreased in time by Twenty Minutes, to One Hundred Minutes. Saturday Qualifying will be extended by Five Minutes, to Twenty Minutes. The Second Practice for the SGP will be 60 Minutes and the Second Qualifying will be Twenty Minutes in length.

*Each Individual car can only have a maximum of five drivers in races throughout the season. But each car can only have three driver role changes throughout the year, meaning you can change both the Starting and Second driver at the same juncture and it will only counts as one driver role change

*All Independent Entries must have one of their drivers be ranked Silver or Bronze at all times, in accordance to the ARFM/ACO Driver Rankings. No such restrictions exist for Factory or for Fly-Away Guest Entries. Failure to comply to this rule from Independent Entries will result in the Exclusion from Race Weekend(s).

*Part Time Entries can enter up to four rounds of the championship, over two continents. They cannot enter the Super GP. They can only enter as a single car entry. They can only enter cars that are available to Customer Teams. The Independent Driver Ranking Rule Applies to Part-Time Entries. Users who enter part-time cars must send me ratings a round before they are set to enter their first race, and users who already have a team in the championship can enter a part-time entry. These cars will also have to partake in pre-qualifying.

*There will be one Fly-Away Guest entry at each Asian and South American event, continuing the programme started at the end of this season. They will be ineligible for points and will not enter Pre-Qualifying.

*Double Dutying: Drivers can only double duty with the GT-R WC and the following series: AR STS, ACO LMC, F1RWRS, and Alt-F1. Drivers must choose one series to prioritise one series if both series are racing the same weekend, the decision made must be upheld for the duration of the season if the situation arises again. Failure to comply will result in exclusion from Drivers and Independent Championships. Might have a bad interpretation on Double-Dutying, oh well

Clarification: For drivers trying to get into F1RWRS, Starting Drivers get both Rookie QG and RG, while the second driver only gets RG.

Scuderia Belgio should maybe consider applying for works Ferrari status! Then you could perhaps sign ex Formula 1 driver Alexandre-Laurent Voeckler to your team :)

Delacroix-Serrano Compétition confirms its drivers for 2017;

#3
Rafael Modena (ITA)
James Davies (GBR)

#4
Giovanni Roda (ITA)
Frederic-Maxime Voeckler (FRA)

Driver 1: Lorenzo Crescenzi (ITA) // Biscione
Driver 2: Denis van Walwijk (RSA)

#28

We wish the team taking on our old Listers the best of luck (they'll need it!) . Yes, the steering wheel was wobbly when we got it, no, we don't know how to fix that annoying rattle in 4th gear. :P

Best In The World Motorsport will continue into 2017 with the new driver line-up of Anita Horford and Bob Lomas. We will continue to use the Lamborghini Murciealago R-GT and apply for any possible increase of our status with Lamborghini. Furthermore, with Ambrose-Milan Autosport leaving the sport, our team would like to acquire the number 41.

You can basically reuse my 2016 livery with the DiversiTech sponsorship removed and the logo of the Calgary Flames and Mentos sponsorship added. Thanks! :)

As current champions, Union Saver Developments will continue with the current driver line-up and our association with Chevrolet. Also, USD is willing to use the iconic Pennzoil colours for the 2017 campaing, as we think that the Vettes look awesome in yellow :D

Aeroracing Engineering will continue in 2017, but this time we'll try to broker a deal with Ferrari to run factory-backed 550s. The driver line-up will stay the same as last season.

With Biscione's team getting the factory Maserati MC Hammer, this means that they are leaving the Factory Ferrari 550 seat vacant. Ferrari wants to continue for the foreseeable future and wants a new team to take the reigns. The status will be RNGd off one week from now, on the 29th of June. The team that becomes the Factory Ferrari team will also use numbers 27 and 28.

Ferrari is looking for a team that:

Has experience at the top levels of motorsport
Run GT or Prototypes in the past
Aren't tail-end scrubs
They don't have to be Italian, but it would help the cause.

The top two users on the reserve list can apply for this entry. And please give reasons why you think your team should be the factory team.

Here's a simple request form:

Do you want to file to become the Factory Ferrari Team? (Yes/No)

Teams that have applied:
Scuderia Belgio/RonDen Racing Engineering
Scuderia Vittore
Aeroracing Engineering
Kjellerup Racing

Do you want to file to become the Factory Ferrari Team? (Yes/No) Yes

Pro:
-Already running a Ferrari car.
-Running the Ferrari works team in the Le Mans cup.
-Yellow Ferraris are gorgeous.
Contra:
Have been unnoticeable in this series.

If Rosenforth Engineering becomes the Factory Ferrari Team, do you want to Apply to become the Factory Pagani Team? (Yes/No) Yes.

Pro: It's thanks to ENB/Scuderia Belgio that Nello Pagani has got his break.
Contra: Neither the old Scuderia Belgio or Nello Pagani have anything to do with this team or car.
I don't know what i want and i want it now!

Rosenforth are going to stick with Pagani, on the basis that we refuse to use #27 and #28 ( :P )

We will run under the banner "Ansett Australia Pagani-Rosenforth" and use #31 (to be driven by Pieter Kickert and Jimmy Rosenforth) and #62 (driven by Frank Zimmer and Mike Stern).

As an Italian team, Scuderia Vittore naturally has an advantage over the other applicants. We had some great results running the customer Lister last year, so given factory machinery, wins are definite. We have experience of championship battles - our AR 3.5 team fought for the last-ever RoLFS title, and our substantial links with Plus One Racing Engineering give us a huge range of experience and information to draw upon

Aeroracing Engineering has been a noticeable force in all major Canon series, with a proven reputation forged on victories and hard work. At GT-R, we managed to win a race with a customer Chevrolet Corvette, so we believe a factory deal would be the final step on our road to success in this series too. We have experienced drivers, both in sportscars and other prestigious series, and we also have top-level facilities. Phoenix McAllister has been a succesful race driver and has also achieved success as a team manager and he's a highly respected figure within the paddock. We'll be eagerly awaiting Ferrari's answer.

Fabian Rei (23)(KOR)

Shane Sparks (35)(USA)
Owen Carvill (30)(USA)

We do indeed hope to continue with factory Listers for 2017.

Former F1 driver Alexandre-Laurent Voeckler enquires about the lead drive in the #28. Just as long as a stooge doesn't get installed as his team-mate. He'd also be happy as team-mate to Lorenzo if the team elects to go down that route.

Actually, since our bid to get the Ferrari works contract has failed, Aeroracing Engineering will race with the Lamborghini Murciélago R-GT. Also, the ties between Audi (Aeroracing's long-term partner) and Lamborghini are very close, so we might look forward to building a works relationship in the future.

Now that all the Factory Teams are known, time to move on to the Independent Teams. The Relation To Factory system continues. The main difference from these teams and the 6 Factory Teams is that the Factory Cars have subtly better performance (five more horsepower, ten kilos less and half a point less drag coefficient is the average) and have less penalties to driver stats compared to the Independent Runners.

There are Factory Supported and Customer teams. The only difference between the two is that Supported teams have subtly better stats than their customer counterparts to reflect the added support, as few and far between it may be, they have compared

There is a limit of 2 Factory Supported teams and there can be a Unlimited amount of Customer teams, unless it says otherwise.

So, teams can now apply for the Supported Slots and the Limited slots for Customers in the case of Lamborghini and Chevrolet. Teams who apply must give me a Plan A and a Plan B in the case the RNG doesn't go their way. Teams who wish to continue with what they are currently doing or run Customer cars will be able to do so without RNG unless their performance wasn't up to par, but will still need to say if they are going to 2 cars. The application process will close on Wedensday, July the Ninth for teams who want to become Factory Supported. The top 3 users on the Reserve List can apply for Factory Supported Contracts. Teams who want to run customer cars full-time or part-time will have until whenever I lost my patience.

Please check this link to see which slots have been taken and see what has opened up after teams left before 2017, on Sheet 2: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AixYE-vmndYOdEtCczFfNV9HaXpGVDYyaE4tX0J2U1E&usp=sharing
