-- Positives --
Jenson Button - breathtaking drive to turn Red Bull into winners again.

Fernando Alonso - despite an awful strategy by the Williams team, Alonso managed to finished second.

Jaime Alguersuari - his team needs all the points they can get, so grabbing 10 of them earns him INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE.

Mahindra-Mercedes - nice bunch of points for the Indian team.

Dave Cassidy - one of the very few drivers that retired through no fault of his own, he should have won this race.

-- Negatives --
Felipe Massa - he ought to have won at his home race, but failed to get the job done.

McLaren-Ferrari - atrocious driving cost them in their war against Ferrari and now the Villeneuve team.

Vitaly Petrov - the pit lane exit is not harmless, drivers were informed of that, yet Petrov still drives like a maniac, taking out Cassidy and grabbing REJECT OF THE RACE.

Daniil Kwjat - he literally could not stop spinning, and retiring in a racing accident was the shite crown of it all.

Jacques Villeneuve - his young team mate was the hero, Jacques was the zero.

Dave Cassidy wrote:Well, I was leading, from Button, who ended up winning the race. I mean, I can't be certain that I would've won, but I was pulling away from Button, I was really comfortable with the car, and then Petrov comes out of the pits and just flat out wrecked me. I'm getting really sick of this. Petrov was a moron, but, you know, when you race on super tight street circuits like this, dumb crap like this tends to happen. We saw it last year in Portugal and here again. This track's just too small for F1. Hopefully things will be less chaotic tomorrow, and then we never come back here again.

But if these jackasses keep driving into me, then I'm gonna have to take matters into my own hands.

Everything's great.
I'm not surprised about anything.

Autosport wrote:Alonso unhappy at lack of wins
With 5 races gone, Alonso told a close friend that although he was happy to score in every race and lead the championship, he is unhappy that he has no wins yet. He is unhappy with the stupid pit call that Williams did in the race, which he feels cost him the race. Alonso refused to talk to the media and a Williams PR person said "We are looking into the call, we think someone typed in a number wrong putting in a decimal point where none should have been and the computer said he should come in due to lack of Fuel. We will not make the same mistake in the second race.

-- Positives --
Sauber-Mercedes - controlled the race well to grab a very sweet 1-2.

Evgeny Restov - stuff like this is needed to bring Ferrari back on track.

Felipe Nasr - impressive drive until his mistake ruined all of it.

-- Negatives --
Pedro de la Rosa - must be ashamed for his atrocious pace.

Jaime Alguersuari - yesterday's hero was not able to repeat the impressive performance.

Nico Rosberg - trying to eliminate Jenson Button is not gonna endear you to the United Kingdom.

James James Davies - a world champion just cannot spin out like an idiot without grabbing REJECT OF THE RACE.

Lewis Hamilton - taking out Alonso is not okay, right?

Felipe Massa - did what he could have done and then some, the only driver on the podium who can really be proud of himself.

Red Bull-Hyundai - sixteen attractive points will help their cause in the future.

-- Negatives --
James James Davies - almost spinning the win away on the final lap is just bad, okay?

Fernando Alonso - unfair driving almost earns him a victory, nice guys do finish last.

Damon Cannon - you are gonna get booed like nothing if you eliminate Sergio Pérez from his home race.

#51 - Valtteri Bottas - 10
#73 - Jeroen Krautmeir - 7

Alexandre Prémat will miss the next race with a race ban since Marussia lacks the WCC points to account for the due penalty. Since Marussia has no standard Friday drivers, they will compete with merely one car in the 2014 Intelsat United States Grand Prix II unless they manage to get a driver, either Friday or permanent, from a different team. You will have to July 22, 6 p.m. to arrange a deal if you'd like to.

-- Positives --
Nico Rosberg - finally gets something for his podiums and must be happy about that.

James James Davies - did something to cut down Alonso's WDC lead, just what he needed to.

Romain Grosjean - second podium in less than a week, that's good for Peugeot.

Daniil Kwjat - finally the Russian shows his talent, holding up Alonso and getting INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE.

Lewis Hamilton - had the most entertaining battle of the race with Button and got McLaren some points.

-- Negatives --
Mercedes - kind of unimpressive, their pace was kind of lacking.

Alexandre Prémat - acted like a complete twat when getting lapped and got his shite wrecked by race control for it.

Fernando Alonso - couldn't beat Caterham and then had his engine explode.

Alex Lynn - REJECT OF THE RACE by causing a major accident by being an unsmart person.

Dave Cassidy - risked too much on the first lap and had his first home race ruined.

For the lels, and not at all because I'm a lazy twat, Marussia will run just the one car.

EDIT: Change of plan. The nice men and women at Mercedes are letting us put Dean Stoneman in the car. :P

#33 - Alexandre Prémat - 13
#51 - Valtteri Bottas - 10
#73 - Jeroen Krautmeir - 7

Lewis Hamilton has been excluded from the race results and will miss the next four races with a race ban due to the excessive consequences of his accident and . Since Stefan have a standard Friday drivers, they will enter Milos Pablovic unless they sign a different driver instead (the wage will be taken out of Hamilton's). You will have to July 24, 8 p.m. to arrange a deal if you'd like to.

-- Positives --
Nico Rosberg - double wins for in the United States, that's what'll help Rosberg.

Daniil Kwjat - after yesterday's drive, a podium might not earn him INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE but it's not like there are better options.

Alex Lynn - made up for the points Red Bull lost due to his penalty points.

Romain Grosjean - brilliant world-class driving goes unrewarded.

Pedro de la Rosa - should have gotten the podium Daniil did get: life is unfair sometimes.

-- Negatives --
Dave Cassidy - moronic start ruined what could've been an amazing race, he will leave his home race disappointed.

Lewis Hamilton - god knows what he is thinking, spinning around Petrov as the latter goes for the pitlane: REJECT OF THE RACE!

Evgeny Restov - lucked into a point and wasn't given a penalty for his incident with Alonso, but his speed was bad.

Sergio Pérez - while it was not really his fault, he is the first running driver in two-race F1 history to not be classified.

Jacques Villeneuve - silly spin ended his day.

#73 - Jeroen Krautmeir - 7

Sebastian Vettel will miss the next with a race ban due to injuries suffered in his accident. Since McLaren have a standard Friday drivers, they will enter Riccardo Agostini.

-- Positives --
Romain Grosjean - heroic victory for Grosjean to give Peugeot their first win in F1 earns him INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE.

Jean-Éric Vergne - yet another good run for the Frenchman.

Sébastien Bourdais - without his throttle issues, he would have scored a truckload more points.

Jacques Villeneuve - good bunch of points for Villeneuve's own team.

Dave Cassidy - even after his battle with Bourdais, he had a great race and has no reason to feel ashamed.

-- Negatives --
Nico Rosberg - driving error hurt his chances and he drove like an idiot, earning him REJECT OF THE RACE.

Mikhail Aleshin - bad spin at the start is one thing; failing to get back on top is another.

Alex Lynn - at least Mikhail had an excuse to suck, Lynn lacks such a thing.

Sebastian Vettel - hurt himself badly with a driver error, that's not neat.

James James Davies - talk about a very silly spin to end his race extremely early.

Penalty Points after the race:
#1 - James James Davies - 5
#2 - Vitaly Petrov - 12
#5 - Fernando Alonso - 17 (+7 for dangerous driving against and causing an avoidable accident involving the driver of car #28 (Damon Cannon))
#6 - Nico Rosberg - 5
#7 - Sébastien Bourdais - 4
#8 - Dave Cassidy - 10
#15 - Matthieu Vaxivière - 5
#18 - Pedro de la Rosa - 9
#19 - Daniil Kwjat - 10
#26 - Alex Lynn - 10
#27 - Evgeny Restov - 3
#28 - Damon Cannon - 6
#30 - Lewis Hamilton - 20
#31 - Mikhail Aleshin - 5
#32 - Felipe Nasr - 5
#33 - Alexandre Prémat - 22 (+9 for ignoring blue flags and causing an avoidable accident involving the driver of car #1 (James James Davies))
#51 - Valtteri Bottas - 10
#73 - Jeroen Krautmeir - 7

Alexandre Prémat will miss the next race with a race ban since Marussia lacks the WCC points to account for the due penalty. Since Marussia has no standard Friday drivers, they can hire any driver of their choice with the wage being covered by Prémat's. The usual conditions apply (RL drivers are RNGd, fictional drivers require user agreement). You will have to July 29, 9 a.m. to arrange a deal, otherwise Adriano Nicchi will be driving the car.

-- Positives --
Jeroen Krautmeir - when a brilliant strategy meets supreme pace and faultless driving, the result is German domination.

Sébastien Bourdais - not even a lost front wing and 30 laps on the same tyre can stop the French madman, earning him INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE.

Romain Grosjean - still doing good for himself in 5th.

Dave Cassidy - what has this guy got to do to catch a break, I ask.

James James Davies - if Prémat had not gone full retard, he would have scored very valueable points after a mediocre start.

-- Negatives --
Williams-Mercedes - you know things are going well for you if merely getting 20 points is a disappointment for you.

Felipe Massa - his team mate was the hero and Massa was the ... well, not zero, but ... underperforming team mate.

Alex Lynn - good start went literally nowhere, Vancouver doesn't like the rookie.

Alexandre Prémat - did JJD once rape his dog and literally piss in his cornflakes? Until that question is answered, we have to assume he's a moron and give him REJECT OF THE RACE.

Evgeny Restov - atrociously slow and then placed his car in a wall without much dedication to his entire race.

-- Positives --
Vitaly Petrov - a drive best described as "flawless" earns him a valueable bunch of points.

Caterham-Peugeot - amazing run by the green cars to give them the most points they ever scored in one race.

Dave Cassidy - another miserable race as far as luck is concerned, but from a skill standpoint, it was amazing.

Daniel Melrose - it helped he did not get wasted at Paul Ricard, he gets a Marussia in the points and earns INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE.

Felipe Massa - good run for Mercedes and Massa goes unfortunately unrewarded.

-- Negatives --
Sauber-Mercedes - four broken front wings, there is literally no excuse for that.

Stefan-Mercedes - awful driving by both of their drivers, this cannot go on.

Jenson Button - avoidable error ruins chance of many points for Red Bull at Button's home event.

Sebastién Bourdais - the front wings he lost were only partially his fault, but lacking pace in addition to that gets him REJECT OF THE RACE.

Felipe Nasr - could not keep up his with one-time star team mate and retired like an idiot.

Dave Cassidy wrote:That race was the drive of my life, I'm telling you. I'm not sure what was up with our front wings today, they just kept shattering... which is a bit concerning... but the way this year has been for me, I was just like "Screw it. I'll finish in the points with a broken wing. Two broken wings. A legion of broken wings if it comes to it. Why not? Who even cares?" I didn't. I realise I probably might've been up with the Brabhams today if my wings didn't break, but hell, I'm happy with the finish I got.

-- Positives --
Felipe Massa - helps his title chances by winning in the United Kingdom.

Mikhail Aleshin - that's just what Stefan needed, a podium to get their season going again.

Matthieu Vaxivière - it is the INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE to get a podium when even your team mate wants to slay you

Valtteri Bottas - his nerves prevented a legendary win for Mahindra, but his drive will be remembered for sure.

Dave Cassidy - must have strangled kittens with his genitals in a former life to have this much bad luck.

-- Negatives --
Sebastién Bourdais - had a huge chance to make up major points but failed to get the job done.

Nico Rosberg - dumb luck gets him a point, but with his team mate and JJD out, he needed to do more.

James James Davies - throwing away what could have easily been a major win at home earns Davies another REJECT OF THE RACE.

Jenson Button - another avoidable error ruins chance of many points for Red Bull at Button's home event, you'd think he'd know better than that.

Romain Grosjean - commited the biggest sin in motorsport, he ran into his team mate.

Sébastien Bourdais - got past JJD in the final stint, a crucial pass in the world title race.

Pedro de la Rosa - brilliant strategy by Caterham allows Pedro to earn INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE at home.

Alex Lynn - was fast whenever he needed to be and deserved the points he got.

Fernando Alonso - came back from an unlucky run to grab some healthy points.

-- Negatives --
Jenson Button - his team screwed him in the pits, but his race wasn't going too well until that anyway.

Felipe Massa - involved in silly pit accident which will cost him.

Williams-Mercedes - Sir Frank Williams was always ruthless, but that doesn't mean we have to approve and not give his team REJECT OF THE RACE.

Lewis Hamilton - way too slow before hitting the wall

Marussia-Ferrari - double driver errors end another miserable race for the Russian squad.

FIA Team Vote - Pitstop Rules

Post by Klon »

The unfortunate events of the 2014 Gran Premio Martini Blanco de España I have shown the FIA that a rule modification is needed. From 2015 onwards, the penalty for missing one of the obligatory pitstops will be increased. The following options are on the table and the FIA would like to consider the team's voices in this.

a) Missing an obligatory pitstop is punished by a 60-second penalty
b) Missing an obligatory pitstop is punished by exclusion of the offending car from the race result
c) Missing an obligatory pitstop is punished by exclusion of both cars of the offending team from the race result

Please send your choice to [email protected].

#77 - Sebastian Vettel - 5

-- Positives --
James James Davies - did what he needed to and got a valueable win.

Nico Rosberg - could not stop JJD, but still got a great second place

Jeroen Krautmeir - it is not his fault that the strategy of his team did not work, and he did the best with what he was given.

Caterham-Peugeot - good run for the green guys at Red Bull's first home race.

Sebastian Vettel - being best of the backmarkers in this otherwise uneventful race earns you the INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE.

-- Negatives --
Felipe Massa - his title run won't survive this lack of performance for much longer.

Red Bull-Hyundai - miserable performance in front of their rich owner at the venue he brought back to the calendar.

Matthieu Vaxiviere - silly mistake costs him late in the race.

Damon Cannon - got involved as lapped driver and can be lucky the stewards were generous.

Vitaly Petrov - being the sole retirement on a day of top rel pretty much earns you REJECT OF THE RACE.

Does listening to a dog licking its balls get you excited?
