I am afraid your finances don't quite suffice for this package, you will have to look at the cheaper engine manufacturers.

Since there were a selected few teams that find their sponsorship criteria hard to match, I have decided that teams may change their sponsor once until the end of driver negotiations in exchange for forfeiting the price money of the first GP weekend of the year.

Could Red Bull please change their Sponsor to an interfering Sponsor and low uld that leave some money for a better chassis?

Driver Market

Post by Klon »

With all the cars ready, we can now sign some drivers. For those of you who are still with this game from 2013, the system will not be unfamiliar to you (although there are minor changes). Basically you pick drivers and the gods of RNG decide in case of a real-life driver and the users decide for their fictional drivers.

One change is that drivers do not provide individual sponsorship anymore, which is why you had to ensure you have at least €2,000,000 left. This goes hand in hand with a new rule: any F1 driver is now entitled to a minimum wage of €1,000,000 per year. Furthermore, drivers who have not taken part in a F1 race may not earn more than €12,000,000 a year.

In exchange for these additional limitations, you may now choose how long your driver contracts are (you can offer either years or a fixed number of races (please note that from this year on, a season has 38 instead of 36 races)). To give you an idea how drivers think: most prefer the following order: long well-paid contracts > short well-paid contracts > short badly-paid contracts > long badly-paid contracts. Please write the offered wage for a full year though, even if the contract itself is shorter.

In addition, you may now add clauses of all types to the contract. Obviously, drivers won't like clauses that could potentially hurt them. Also, clauses that make the wage of a driver fully or partially conditional are banned. The minimum wage applies to Friday testers as well.

From 2014 on, you may exchange one chassis upgrade for a Friday tester. This tester must have taken part in a F1 race before. Signing a Friday tester will give your chassis a random grip increase of 50-150 points and allows you to replace your driver mid-weekend in case of injuries or bans.

Your team's budget must be >=0 after signing drivers. FOM has informed the teams that they will pay out €5,000,000 to any team signing a F1RWRS driver that took part in races of the 2013 F1RWRS season.

Alright, please fill out this until Thursday, June 26 (11 a.m. CEST) and post it in this thread for real-life drivers - please only offer wages that are rounded up to a million:

Alrighty, let's get some things noted. First off, I said
Klon wrote:[The Friday tester] must have taken part in a F1 race before.

so that's that.

Secondly,
25% share in the team

Krautmeir is a special case, for other people, having a stake in your team has no meaning and therefore is a reasonably pointless offer.

Thirdly,
Making an attempt to sign Di Meglio will automatically void any Ferrari customer's engine contract.

since those clauses are a) not relevant to the driver himself and b) have the potential to bathplug around with the game too much, they have been banned as well.

Fourthly,
Offered Wage: 11,000,000 euros per year

I am afraid a team that only has 9,000,000 left cannot afford that. Furthermore, wages are always paid out in full millions.

Fifthly,
Scuderia Ferrari Driver Offers
Car 27
Driver Name: Evgeny Restov

Since reducing his wage to 1/10th is pushing it, I will only allow the deal if Restov is offered a driver option for a second year.

Please adjust your bids accordingly.

Well, despite Red Bull being an alternative brand, we will not accept egotistical maniacs in our driver line up.

Does listening to a dog licking its balls get you excited?

After having a few discussions with the lads back at base, the general consensus reached was that they preferred their women attractive. :P

David Koczo has signed on to the #3 Villeneuve Racing car for the Indian GP only. Any other candidate for the #3 seat will drive all the remaining rounds aside from this one. With a pro rata wage of 1M, the same as both other choices for the #3, the total cost for both drivers over the season should amount to 1M.
