Same for Osella too. We are pretty much broke, not much to do but pray that Patrese will bring a miracle result.

1981 Belgian Grand Prix - Race:

Race report:
Pryce got a good start, and pulled away from the field early, while Piquet and Fittipaldi continued finghting for second place. Two Ferrari engines failed early, ending the races of Gilles Villeneuve and Jody Scheckter. Michele Alboreto and Derek Daly ended their races in the wall on laps 9 and 11. Piquet and Fittipaldi were swapping positions all the time, until on lap 19 an electrical problem forced Piquet to retire. The race calmed down now, the plenty of mechanical failures had thinned out the field so that not many battles for position remained. The exception was a group consisting of de Angelis, Rosberg, Jones and Lauda. Jones spun out of this battle on lap 46. Meanwhile, some late-race unreliability gave the smaller teams the chance of a good result. On lap 66 Pryce retired from a 63 second lead when his clutch failed, handing the win to Laffite in the Arrows. De Angelis once again proved his talent by taking an unexpected second place for Williams. Rosberg scored 4 valuable championship points for Brabham, in a race where they never had the pace to run near the front. Lauda scored more points for Lotus, Johansson finished 5th, and Cogan scored the final point for Project Four.

Now that all of Tyrrell, March, Theodroe and Rabaque have fluked their way past us through attrition Boro will take three more grip upgrades. Also Alboreto will get one more race at Monaco.

Fluked? Please, we've worked hard for that position. If we hadn't had a gearbox issue, we'd have a point to our name.

I'll give you four engine reliability upgrades for now. Technically, you could afford up to nine, but that would seriously limit your development in other areas, also I'd like to limit development speed in some way.

Not as fast as last year but still our best performance of the season and we out-qualified all of our championship rivals. Now we hope to make the finish as after the last race we need a top ten just to move up even one position in the constructors.

Alboreto gets one more race then we may have to look at pay drivers for car #29.
