Oval specialists Paul Eckeridge and Tim Horan will also be eligible for this, seeing as I'm canning my Stateside teams. Conor Dunne, of RTCC fame (?), is also eligible, seeing as I'm dumping him too. :P

Given no new teams are forthcoming, I am considering opening up third cars to teams that want them. But it's only a consideration.

In other series news, I have decied on a format, given the large number of cars in the series. It will mimic that of IFRC/AR3.5 - Two heat races, with the best of those combining for a round Final. Unlike IFRC/AR3.5 however, there will be no qualifying for the Final - finishing order in the heat races decide the grid.

As per classifieds thread, could I take Oliviero Cinotti's DEC, without signing him to Unity? :)

Ok, let me break it down for you;

Drivers race in this series as a side-by-side comparison of their talents. This is just to give people an understanding of whether they're any good or not. After the series is over, anyone can table an offer for that driver's DEC. The RNG is run, and will favour the better quality of offers (so for example, if you offered to take Cinotti's DEC and run him in F2RWRS, and his only other offer was to drive part-time in AutoReject Super Touring, he'd most likely take the former offer).

As soon as the F1RICS season is over, I will start running TRRS. That hopefully means some time next week, if things go to plan.

OK guys, an unexpected change happening here, an upgrade even;

This series will now be run in rFactor. This means...liveries! Please submit a livery for your team using these templates. The Main Body and Extras3 ones need done for all cars, the helmet and drivers are optional. Please leave the default sponsors alone, utilise the number box on the nose, and also put numbers on the rear wing endplates.

Car 1 Number & Driver: #96 - Cesar Vialpondo (MEX)
Cart 2 Number & Driver: #97- Boris Offenhauser (USA)

I can not do liveries, if someone else can I'll be happy

Notifications for Loyer Racing Japan, Vivendi EBL and Hydook Racing Team - unfortunately, due to unforseen circumstances one of your drivers has withdrawn from the series. You will need to find a replacement from the free agent list. Or you can take Alexey Pchelintsev from my team if you wish.

If you're going to the trouble of making a livery on a 2D template, why not go a little further and do it on the template needed for the game? :|

You wouldn't be if you'd practise...by making liveries...you know? Everybody here was terrible at it at some point, until we started making some and working on our skill.

So? All I care about is something I like, and something noticable! What else do you need?

Besides, if you practice, you'll get better. I have actually had the luck of having experience with Photoshop before I started working on liveries, so I found it somewhat easy but time consuming.

Just to confirm something here; if you want one of Dark77's drivers, he's still around to answer requests. If you contanct him and take a driver, post the confirmation (and proof) here so he's not considered for TRRS.

Due to the departure of WarrenHughes, his drivers have become free agents. The drivers in question are as follows;

Gary Cameron - Permanently retired. Unavailable for selection now in future.
Michael Cameron - Permanently retired. Unavailable for selection now in future.
Nathanael Cameron - I expect he will be a very popular lad indeed. His services both for TRRS and future will be decided by seperate RNGs.
Ashley Watkinson - ditto as the Cameron brothers.
Jean-Luc Schiller - TBC. Awaiting to be briefed on his current DEC situation (he already has a contract with MRT).

Nebula would like to revise their TRRS lineup:

#19: Nathanael Cameron
#20: Cezary Samelko

In addition, Reith needs to come off the list because WaffleCat's reclaimed him.

Right, before the races kick off, there are four 'Academy' spots for free agents that couldn't get a ride with normal teams. The ages and career span of drivers will factor into whether they will get the drive or simply retire for good.

Satoshi Sakeyama (JAP) does not get an Academy placement.
1-80 Retire
81-100 Sit out a year and come back again for TRRS 2017/18
22
Sakeyama elects to call it a day and retire from motorsport.

Bjoern Blaschke (AUT) does not get an Academy placement.
1-80 Retire
81-100 Sit out a year and come back again for TRRS 2017/18
65
Blaschke retires from racing.

Giuseppe Colombo (ITA) does not get an Academy placement.
1-40 Retire
41-100 Sit out a year and come back again for TRRS 2017/18
81
Colombo will try to get a ride in TRRS again next season to resurrect his career.

Aurelio Bandini (ITA) successfully earns himself an Academy placement!

Craig Richards (ZIM) does not get an Academy placement.
1-80 Retire
81-100 Sit out a year and come back again for TRRS 2017/18
22
Richards elects to call time on his racing career.

Ernest Bruno (USA) successfully earns himself an Academy placement!

George Bruno (USA) does not get an Academy placement.
1-80 Retire
81-100 Sit out a year and come back again for TRRS 2017/18
43
Bruno retires permanently from motorsport.

Manny Fernandez (USA) does not get an Academy placement.
1-80 Retire
81-100 Sit out a year and come back again for TRRS 2017/18
12
Fernandez hangs up his helmet.

Klaus Walze (GER) successfully earns himself an Academy placement!

Oliveiro Cinotti (ITA) successfully earns himself an Academy placement!

Yun Long (HKG) does not get an Academy placement.
1-80 Retire
81-100 Sit out a year and come back again for TRRS 2017/18
37
Long packs it in.

Tim Horan (USA) does not get an Academy placement.
However, given both his veteran status in single seaters, along with his more recent experience stateside, the management of IndyCar World Series have offered him a role as an official series test and reserve driver, but with the stipulation he may vacate the role at any time should a race drive ever be offered to him in IWC.
1-80 Takes the IWC gig
81-95 Sit out a year and come back again for TRRS 2017/18
96-100 Retire
39
Horan will take up the job offer from the IndyCar World Series.

Paul Eckeridge (HKG) does not get an Academy placement.
1-90 Retire
91-100 Sit out a year and come back again for TRRS 2017/18
84
Having been without a professional ride in over a decade, Eckeridge finally admits defeat and retires for good.

Conor Dunne (IRE) does not get an Academy placement.
1-80 Retire
81-100 Sit out a year and come back again for TRRS 2017/18
17
Dunne hangs up his helmet for good.

Maven O'Connor (USA) does not get an Academy placement.
1-90 Retire
91-100 Sit out a year and come back again for TRRS 2017/18
98
Despite spending a really long time on the sidelines, O'Connor still isn't willing to give up on his racing dreams, and will attempt to get his way back into the sport via TRRS again next season.

Now that's been dealt with, the season will get underway shortly!

34 Iulian Pitea (Hydook Racing Team)                          -1 lap
NC Ashley Watkinson (Voeckler GPE)                        DNF lap 24
Luc Pellerin (Ferdinand United Grand Prix)             DNF lap 20
Oscar Duck III (Vivendi EBL)                           DNF lap 20
Manuel Riva (Loyer Racing Japan)                       DNF lap 11
Andraz Velikonja (Vivendi EBL)                         DNF lap 10

So unlucky for Ashley Watkinson! He was running away from the field in first, only for his car to die on the very last lap! However, a DNF here is a non-classified, regardless of how much race distance you've covered, so no consolation 13th place for him. So, the win instead goes to Rojo GT regular Franck van Nifterick. Kwol-Cho and Cameron fought tooth-and-nail all race, with the Brit eventually coming out on top. Three former Dofasco drivers are in the bottom four; Kustova, Maylander and Pitea all had races to forget. Vivendi EBL's day only got worse, as their 35th and 38th place grid slots led only to a double retirement.

Standings after Race 1
1. Franck van Nifterick 10
2. Nathanael Cameron 6
3. Hwok Kwol-Cho 4
4. Viktor Pasitchnjuk 3
5. Helena Boveri 2
6. Tanner Jason 1

A safety car for Walze and Bandini's collision upset the order entirely, and the likes of Watkinson and van Nifterick were unable to recover from poor strategy choices. Grands Travaux Inutiles may have to rename now, as Tomislaw Tajner wins the feature race! Schilling gets where team-mate Boveri wasn't able to - the podium. And a great result too for Ernesto Bruno, which might make many question why he wasn't picked for a drive in the first place. Nebula will be heartbroken though, Cameron so close to sealing a good result, couldn't make it to the end. A bad day also for Scuderia Vittore - neither car qualified well, and it led to a double DNF anyway.

Based off the first round for my team, it's looking more like a "wait, they actually exist at all?!" season!

39 Akira Kobayashi (Union Saver Developments)          2:16.712

Watkinson makes it three from three for poles! Can he finally turn it into a race win though? Kobayashi suffers the ignomy of being the first driver to be slower than Jan Maylander in a qualifying session, and championship leader Tajner lines up in 6th.

39 Andraz Velikonja (Vivendi EBL)                          29:20.594

Watkinson still can't do it! A superb performane from Hwok Kwol-Cho sees him climb all the way from 7th place to win the race! Watkinson does take a few points with 2nd though, and van Nifterick gets more points on the board in a sprint race. Championship leader Tajner's gap to those behind has slimmed from 7 points to just 1, having lost ground to race winner Kwol-Cho, but the likes of Schiller and Bruno failing to score means he stays out front for now.
