2017 AutoReject Super Touring season (Completed!)

Since Pasta will be taking over F2RWRS duties from Wizzie, that leaves RTCC open, which I will be taking over. As you may have noticed from the title of the thread, I will also be changing quite a bit about the series, foremost of which is a switch from running rFactor, to running NR2003. There are a couple of reasons for this, one being that I am much more familiar with using NR2003 than rFactor, and the other being that Pasta has unfortunately had some issues in getting his S2000 carset working properly. So, without further ado, it's time to outline how exactly ARST will function.

RULES
Entry rules
A team must run no more than 2 cars.
A team constructing their own car must run 2 cars.
Drivers must be fictional.
Drivers must be 18 or older OR have previously competed in a canon event.

Car development
Car development will be a new feature of ARST, the current version of which is available here, and will be posted in the thread when the time comes to begin developing cars.

Developing cars is optional - if you wish, you can simply strike a deal with another team to run customer versions of their cars. However, only 1 customer team per make of car is permitted.

Qualifying Format
1 lap.

Race Format
There will be 2 race formats used during the season.
1 race format:
- 200 kilometres + 1 lap
2 race format:
- 150 kilometre + 1 lap Feature race
- 75 kilometre + 1 lap Sprint race
The grid for the sprint race will be set according to the results from the feature race, with the top 10-15 finishers (decided by lottery) from the feature race reversed.

Points system:
1. 50
2. 45
3. 40
4. 36
5. 32
6. 28
7. 25
8. 22
9. 20
10. 18
11. 16
12. 14
13. 12
14. 10
15. 8
16. 6
17. 4
18. 3
19. 2
20. 1

Pole position: 5 points
Fastest lap: 3 points
Most positions gained: 2 points

Points will only be awarded to drivers that complete 75% of the scheduled race distance.

Calendar
Please note, the calendar is currently subject to change as other series reveal their schedules.

Rounds of Australia: Adelaide Street Circuit, Adelaide, Australia (Races 1 & 2)
Round of Bathurst: Mount Panorama, Bathurst, Australia (Race 3)
Rounds of the United Kingdom: Brands Hatch GP, Swanley, United Kingdom (Races 4 & 5)

Templates
.psd templates for each car are available here.
The layer that you need to put the livery on is called 'Car body'. Car numbers go in the provided number boxes.

In the event that you want a car that isn't there, just ask and I'll see about getting a template drawn up - or, if you're feeling a little ambitious, you can take a crack at it yourself. Don't worry, if I can do it, you probably can too.

And with that all out of the way, please let me know if you have any thoughts or questions about any of this.

This should be quite good fun!
1 question though. will it be a certain era of Super Touring (EG. Pre Alfa Aeo Controversy) or just all cars from 1991-2000?

No. Super Touring is just a name. The cars will look the same as 2003 NASCARs, but you can stick any manufacturer badge you want on there... within reason, of course.

Blokkmonsta is ready to participate in ARST after having a good season at RTCC.

If we may ask, can have an early look at the calendar and the car list since both should be different on NR2003 instead of Rfactor?

Entries are not open. I am still finalising some things. They will be revealed when they are ready. I will say, however, that the majority of the tracks I'm looking at should be able to be attended by other series.

Entries are now officially OPEN. Please use the provided entry form to submit your entry. Priority will be given to users who already had a team in RTCC in 2016.

For those teams that apply for manufacturer status, once the entry list is sorted, I will then ask for you to submit your car development plans.
