19 Juan Branger (ECS)                      17:28.570

There were no overtakes. Or retirements! So congrats to Kevin Magnussen and congrats to Gauthier for winning the constructors' championship by zero points. May next year be interesting.

IIDOTR: José María López, back on the podium
ROTR: Albert Park, for doing nothing at all

Voting for ROTY is very simple. Make your personal ROTY podium, and first gets 3 points, second gets 2, and third gets 1.

I want to wait until at least a couple more F1 seats are filled before starting the 2014 season. This may still result in weirdness since the remaining seats might go to someone unexpected (Kvyat lol) or be "confirmed" then change (Razia lol), but it's an alternate universe anyway.

Formula Golden Ratio 2014
Featuring OVERTAKING!!

Yes, you read that right: a small departure from plain xkoranate means overtaking will happen! If you had a team last season, just say you're still here if you want to still be here, and if you want to join, use the form in the first post. Driver signing and car "design" (i.e., assigning stat points) will come later.

Schedule
1. Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (Mar 30)
2. Silverstone Circuit (Apr 27)
3. Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (May 25)
4. Autodromo Nazionale Monza (Jun 22)
5. Hungaroring (Jul 20)
6. Suzuka Circuit (Aug 24)
7. Marina Bay Street Circuit (Sep 20)
8. Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit (Oct 26)
The points sytem will remain the same.

Renntechnologie shall return. We'll keep our current driver line-up and we'll keep our link with BMW. But we'll replace our 6l V12 with a 1.6l R4 turbo, with plenty of boost. :D

YAY! In that case:

Nationality: 'Murican!
Team Name: Riccetti Competition
Engine: Chevrolet Marine Mark IV Series 502cid (8.2L) V8
Driver 1: Marco Andretti (USA)
Driver 2: Larry Dixon (USA)

Racer Magazine wrote:"Riccetti Competition to Contest Formula Golden Ratio!"
American Powerhouse Riccetti Competition has entered the Formula Golden Ratio Series for the 2014 Season. The team, which is based out of Northeastern PA and competes in the NHRA, IHRA, ADRL, GP3, Women's GT Series, BTCC, and Formula 3 EuroSeries has today announced it is expanding again into the Formula Golden Ratio. Team Principal Mark Riccetti, Jr. will not be driving but he has signed both Indycar ace Marco Andretti, and 3-Time NHRA World Champion Larry Dixon. His Father, Mark Riccetti, Sr. will lead the technical side. The team has sprung for Chevy's massive 502 cubic inch V8. The Riccettis admit that while the size of the engine will be an issure from packaging and handling points of view, the 800bhp base horsepower rating was just too good to pass up. American interest in the series is already up 283% as of this writing. The Riccettis hope to win their first season out to keep interest up. Stay tuned.

I'd like to join in too, if there is still a spot left. :)

Nationality: South Africa
Team Name: Women Drivers Association (South African Division)
Engine: 5,4 l Porsche 912.52 V12 Turbo
Driver #1: Jennifer Murray (RSA)
Driver #2: Tasmin Pepper (RSA)

The Women Drivers Association is keen on venturing into the Formula Golden Ratio to promote their newly founded Young Drivers Development Program for female drivers from South Africa. F1-legend Gordon Murray was hired as the team's Technical Director and Chief Designer. While Team Principal Monisha Kaltenborn had no luck striking a deal with Ferrari as the team's engine supplier, Porsche stepped in as a substitute, nominating their most powerful engine to date, the 912.52 (formerly used in the Porsche 917/30), as their weapon of choice for this task. Ex-Shelby-Can-Am Driver Jennifer Murray, whos racing career is stagnating for years now, and Formula Volkswagen South Africa Driver Tasmin Pepper are chosen to represent the quite remarkable pool of South African female drivers this season.

There's no limit to the number of teams. Right now we have, including you and assuming all the teams from season one stay, thirteen teams, so it's not a problem yet.

It doesn't matter for this series, but for these "real life non-f1 driver" series, one of these times just to be an arse, I'm running myself. I have a racing license, and I sure as heck ain't in F1. Give me a "pace" of 1 and let me go lol. It will lead to the hysterical situation of me firing myself mid-season! How rejectful would that be!

All right, here are the rules.

Engine supplier changes
If you want to change your engine make, just say so. If you don't say anything, you'll have the same one as last season. It still doesn't affect anything.

Car design
You get a certain number of points to put into the xkoranate statistics of acceleration, handling, and reliability. You spend them all at once at the beginning of the season, and once you build your car, it's what you're stuck with for the rest of the year. You can PM the numbers or post them in the thread.
Gauthier: 200
Commonwealth: 180
Renntechnologie: 120
San: 100
Benelux: 80
Fantomette: 60
Autodynamics: 40
VRT: 20
The new guys: 10

Driver signing
As before, you can sign any non-F1 driver, including people that have already been picked. How contracts work is: if you sign someone for e.g. four races, they stay at your team for four races; no one can take them and you can't sack them. Then once the contract is up, they're a free agent. There are no driver wages.

You can make one list of drivers and the top two you can get will be chosen, or you can do separate lists for each car. If you want to run one car, say so or it defaults to two.

Women Drivers Association (South African Division)

Car Design
Engine: Isuzu P799WE V12
Acceleration: 3 points
Handling: 3 points
Reliability: 4 points

Drivers
Jennifer Murray (RSA): 8 races (whole season)
Tasmin Pepper (RSA): 8 races (whole season)

EDIT: No one shall be able to say, I wouldn't take this serious! So here is a new and very special mission, I'd like to send my girls on: Exploiting the hell out of the Isuzu-F1-engine, that was supposed to power the Lotus cars in 1991, but was ditched in favour of the Judd V8. Let's see, what one of the most unlikely F1 engine makes ever is capable of... ;)

Just to be that guy, the 502 is actually 8.2L. I only know this because I've had two of them, and on the block by where the tranny mounts, its stamped on there.

Benelux and Autodynamics still need drivers.
Loyer, Renntechnologie, and VRT need to say how long their contracts are.
