Is my memory playing tricks on me, or did Montoya and Ralf Schumacher not crash into each other tonnes of times when they were teammates?

I've been thinking of good examples of lots of crashes between two people, and I thought that Alonso and Hamilton must have had a bunch in the late 2000s, but actually I think there's only one: Bahrain 2008. That's kind of crazy that with such a fierce rivalry they never hit one another. Also backs up my claim that 2007 was a lot duller a season than people remember :D

However, the most obvious recent example outside of Pérez and Ocon would have to be Hamilton and Rosberg c. 2014-16. Considering how dominant Mercedes were, it's incredible to think they lost a huge chunk of points to their drivers being let loose to bump each other off the track week in week out.

You are correct, at least in that they collided more than once. At Indianapolis 2002 and at Nürburgring 2004, they collided. The latter ended Ralf's day, the former required a pitstop to fix rear-wing damage.

Gilles Villeneuve crashed into Peterson twice in 3 races - Japan 77, and Brazil 78.
I think I recall reports that Peterson thought Villeneuve to be a bit dangerous

In more recent times, Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, must be at least three times now.

I count 6, I think:

Bahrain 2018
Imola, Silverstone, Monza and Saudi Arabia 2021 (Brazil was a near-miss)
Brazil 2022

I've lost count.

Sounds a bit like Schumacher and Hakkinen in F3 and then F1.
