Could this really be Pacific's old homepage?

Post by Julien »

I was astonished when I accidentally found this page.
Either that, or it is a really nicely composed tribute page. It is especially interesting to read the press releases. In my opinion, it's a very rare jewel of Formula 1 history.

I believe it is the actual website. It disappeared off the internet some time in 2010, but mysteriously reappeared last spring. It is an absolute treasure trove, it hasn't been touched for over 17 years!

According to that site Jean-Denis will be 50 on October 1st!

I wonder "what is Delatraz doing" to celebrate?

I stumbled upon this a few weeks ago. The background is such garbage I could barely read the text.

Makes me wonder "what Pacific's web designer was doing."

Kimi to Ferrari, Perez out of McLaren, Maldonado to Lotus, Kobash comes back, Gutierrez stays, Chilton stays, Boullier leaves Lotus.

Looks like the real deal! I did a quick search on the domain, and interestingly it was registered in 2006...? So it would seem that this is the original website, but re-listed.... There must be a Pacific guardian angel out there!

What an epic find though!

Yes, it's real altogether. And the highlights are "this site is optimized for Netscape 1.1" and "Last modified: 1 october 1995".

It's a time warp back into the mid-1990s.
